I attempted several times to print a Voronoi King ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:172960 ) chess piece, but every time I try to print, it turns out disconnected, sloppy, stringy, and just plain bad. Has anyone had this happen to them? Any thoughts? Thanks so much!

Not knowing more your belts are probably a bit loose. That's also a very complex print, what's your cooling setting at?

Your printer is going to need to be well dialed in for those.
Disconnected -> could be loose belt(s) as Mike already pointed out.
sloppy/stringy -> temps not perfect for that spool/filament

Post pictures perhaps? Do some basic test print items and make sure everything is 'tuned'
