Answered Small print probably

    I am getting gaps on small parts with curved tops.

    I would love some advice on this.

    Also if you have advice or tips for small prints on a robo.

    More top layers?

    That filament looks like it printed too hot as well. For small parts/layers you may need to set a minimum time/layer for the slicer to force it to allow time for the previous layers to cool.

    I hade the filament temp at 195c
    and 6 top layers.

    Yes, but what was the print time for those layers?

    Try setting a minimum print time which will force the slicer to let the layers cool.


    For smaller parts I usually go for 60 - 90 seconds. You need to experiment.

    Thank you I will try that it was a big print with a lot of small prints so I figured by the time it got back for the next layer it would be cool but I guess I was worng. Now that I think about it the parts with the gaps were the biggest of the small parts and probably were holding the heat more.

    P.s. I notic you are always giving good advice and help and I appreciate that.

    The layer speed is 15 seconds minamum I never changed that that sounds low to me is it?

    If it is not getting enough cooling then that is too low.
    Everyone has a slightly different environment.
