My printer has been dead in the water since 05/15/14. I have sent request for help 5 times since 05/15/14. I have not heard from Jerry. Does anyone know if RoBo is still supporting their customers or why they do not answer customer requests?

They've been at makerfaire since 5/16. They also don't work on the weekends. Please be patient with them, they'll get you taken care of.

Small startups do not have the luxury of large support staff. One person is doing all the work and spaming him 5 times with the same question does not make his life easier.

Agreed, but an acknowledgement with a brief note (even an auto-reply with 'I'm at maker faire xxx-yyy') would be better.

The main problem now seems to be the the z axis moves in the opposite direction than you tell it. Also when telling the y axis to move in a certain direction it moves in the opposite direction and the x axis moves even though I did not tell it to move.

Carmen, does your printer have the auto leveling feature?

    Have you homed your printer?

Yes I have done auto leveling, if fact I do it before attempt to print. My printer was homing just fine until a few days ago. The fan kept falling off and I installed a new fan bracket. Shortly after that when I tried to home the machine the head ended up in the right rear corner making terrible sounds instead of in the front left corner where home should be.

Did a plug get flipped around when you installed the fan? Try reversing the x plug and see if that fixes it. The noise is of the carriage crashing.

Mike Will the x plug be marked or is there one or more pin numbers that will tell me that it is the proper connector?

Mike, I was able to locate the x axis cable. Seems to be plugged in ok. I could not locate any loose or unplugged connections.
    Thanks

Mike sorry for the delay in answering. I tried to reverse the x axis plug and tried it. The machine made the worst noise I've ever heard it make. So, that was not the problem. I know the RoBo team was at the Maker Faire last weekend. Do you have any idea when they will resume support? I have been down since May 15th.

It's just a chat messenger. It's essentially the same as a forum but you'll be able to get quicker responses from me.

    Age is no excuse :)

    Mike,
Any word on when team RoBo will resume technical support.
Ok, I'll go and see what I can learn about Skype. Maybe this old dog will learn some new tricks.
