    Hi guys
I installed a Reprap Ramps V1.4 smart 2004 20*4 LCD Display controller onto my Robo3DR1 and it is working great. However, when a project is under way, I can see how long it has been going but not how long to go. Is there anything I can do to show how much time is left to complete the project. I get that on the Simplify3D but not the controller.
    Thanks in advance.
    George

How long is left is a S.W.A.G. since really the printer does not 'know' how much more GCode you are going to feed it.
Simplify is calculating it on the fly. The Marlin firmware won't.

When it is reading the GCode from the SD card it can report a % complete (what % of the filesize it has processed).

    Thanks for that.
Helpful as usual. Though I had to look up SWAG :)

I wish the printer software (Simplify or any of them really) could 'learn' an average GCode processing time and give you a smarter guess.
Simplify3D does 'OK' at it, some of them just plain haven't a clue. None are accurate.
