I've noticed that my x axis rods have grooves in them and i think its the reason for this banding effect on my prints. I was wondering if any one could recommend any rods because i don't really know what i'm looking for. Also i don't know if i should replace the bearings as well because i don't know if they could be damaged.

    Thanks

If the rod has grooves it is likely due to bad bearings.
You would want to replace both.

The rods are 8mm and the bearings are also (LM8UU bearings to be specific)
Not sure what length, but you can measure them./
