OK, I am getting this kind of clicking noise that is fairly new. It appears to match the X motor drive motions. I noticed that the bearing retaining ring on the back motor shaft rotates with the shaft at times. Oil didn't help.
Are the motors standard? ie. NEMA17 4 wire? Frank

Hay, come on you guys. I am sure someone has replaced a stepper motor!!
Most I view are Nema 17, 40mm size. 1.8 degree steps with 200 steps in 180 degrees.
They have 4 wires, red black blue and white. Something like that.
The price just went up about $20 on a set of 5. One is about $15. Frank

I have not replaced a Robo stepper, but you can get Nema 17 ones all over the place.
I bought a batch of 5 for the projects we are working on. They must be similar to the Robo ones.
See if Robo support can quote the specs.

Nema17 and 48oz-in probably. Though you can go higher on the torque if you want
