Good morning, I bought a C2 from marketplace for my son who wants to get into this hobby. Long story short, there was a benchy file saved on the C2 and it printed great! However, any other stl file I put into the C2 will not turn out. It goes through the onboard slicer, but then doesn't print properly. It appears to try and make a raft with 1 layer, then just goes to the corner of the bed and makes layer on layer on layer in the same line. somthing is goofy and I don't know where to start. I...

What is the reason that this print comes out with concave sides when they should be straight?

Raft Perimeter

Recently, I have seen the raft perimeter not start immediately at the origin point. So when the raft cross-hatching starts it tend to not adhere to the bed. Subsequent layers of the raft curl and may get bumped and the part closest to that corner may curl

I have not found any way to solve this - perhaps by making two passes of the raft perimeter?

Any ideas?

I am so lost and overwhelmed. I have zero experience and was trying to level my offset and I thought restoring marlin EEPROM plug in to default would correct my issue and I have been gravely mistaken. Now when I try to calibrate my offset..... my printer does not do the circles only in a line and makes a horrid noise...... because I assume my x and y axis measurements are off in the plug in and I have no clue how to get them back to what it needs to be. I have a c2 and if any one out there...

Hi! Thanks for reading this. I recently bougth a used c2, the touchscreen doesnt work, it stays white, but i noticed that the Raspberry didnt had the SD card, so im thinking that its not programmed,.
I´ve tried to search for the boot image but all that i got was a google drive link with no access.
Do you guy have the image for the SD card?
I aprecciate any help. Sorry for bad english.

Robo r2 bed lowering before print

I just recently had a bad print and had to changed a belt on my Robo r2. Now the printer will lower the bed during the startup of a print. It makes this terrible noise and messes up the z axis. I don't think it's the bed sensor since it lowers fine during wizards and such.

Hello, my LCD is not responding to touch and I think it may be an OS problem since I tried replacing the ribbon cable, HDMI cable, and LCD itself. My C2 came with an HDMI and ribbon cable attached to the LCD. Does anyone know where I can get a RoboC2 img?

Z offset in Octoprint not being followed

Firstly my LCD doesn't work so I do all of my printing through octoprint on my browser. A problem that I ran into was that the z-offset was off by about 5 mm in every print. I can adjust it mid-print for one layer then it returns to the 5 mm offset as it was before on the next layer. The offset isn't erratic, it's always about 5mm off.

I have tried to use the octoprint terminal to fix the offset (M851 Z -#.## ->M500) but it seems that it has no effect during the print. The terminal says...

Recently I discovered my printer had a cracked part so I 3d printed a new part Robo designed. I popped it in and fit just fine. I ran a few tests before printing and here they are.

1: I heated up the nozzle and through the motor options extruded filament- worked just fine
2: I ran the fine z tunning wizard- it started clicking and not extruding
3: I ran a test print- the same thing as above happened

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I have previously posted how to convert a Sanlu dehydrator. I want to explain how I use it to improve print quality.

I set my dehydrators to low limit 49C high limit 50C, low limit 16%RH and high limit 17%RH. Both limits must be out for the heater to heat (<49C and >17%RH).

i am slicing using CURA 2.5 the generic version that comes with the C2.

recently when I send a file to print sliced via CURA either through the program or saved and sent via Octoprint my x offset is off. It prints just above the print bed on one side.

however if I reprint old files I have saved from years ago they print great without issue.

thoughts on where I should go?

My IR board does not work. I turned off auto leveling in the Gcode and can now print my manually adjusting the leveling screws. I would like to fine tune the z offset, but the Robo trys to auto level anyway and crashes the head into the bed.

I use painters tape rather than the bed covers Robo provided for the C2 (cheaper and easier to replace). However the first/original plate had a buildup of tape adhesive over it that was impossible to remove easily. A bottle of Goo Gone and 5 mintes later it just wiped of with a paper towel.

I just got my printer and tried a print, much to my expectation the bed wasn't where the printer thought it would be, it was trying to print like 2 inches away from the bed. So I adjusted the Z-offset so that the gauge was having a little resistance. This was +11.3mm.

I went and printed again and much to my surprise, the C2 rammed the print bed into the print head and continued to do so until I turned it off. What's the point of the Z-offset adjustment if the printer doesn't respect what...

Older C2 SD Micro Card Issue

I am currently trying to assist my kids school set up 2 C2 3D printers. They have been sitting in the boxes for about 2 years or so now because nobody there attempted to set them up. One unit boots fine. The 2nd unit does not boot. I swapped the SD Micro cards and the one functional units SD Micro card can boot both units. I've attempted 3 reimages per the online instructions and have exhausted all my patience. Is there any config file that needs tweaking or is this an older image file...

I've had about 20 successful prints since new, but now the Y-axis is acting strange. When I do a z-axis calibration, the extruder moves to home (good) and then moves towards the front. After moving about 2 inches it makes a non-metallic grinding sound and stops about halfway. Then the Z axis moves to the bottom and starts up.
