I just noticed that it seems my nozzel is too low. When transitioning to a new area of the bed it drags itself across and plastic on the bed leaving strings. I keep watching it bury itself in the plastic a little as it's printing. How do I adjust the Z axis?

What software are you using? I think there is a way in Cura to tell it to raise up a set amount prior to moving the head to avoid some of those issues.

    Calibrate your E steps

make sure your bottom fan is running and that it's getting good airflow

I am using Matter Control. I think I am going to uninstall it and start over with the defaults unless there is a way to reset to defaults.

Not sure MatterControl works that way, doesn't remove settings with an uninstall. You can verify this information with the creators of MatterControl at www.matterhackers.com

@WheresWaldo is correct I think. I seem to remember it stores a config somewhere non-obvious (like a subdirectory c:\Users\YourName\AppData on Windows -- or something like that)

Give Cura a shot. I've only used MC and Cura, so I can't comment on the rest, but I definitely prefer Cura and havn't had a problem with it yet for my applications

I think I remember when I was using matter control that I loaded a different printer profile for the robo so I could use the defaults again. I can't exactly remember how I did it but if you can find the spot that allows you to select a new printer and select the robo I believe it may work

Now I am getting uneven layers too! I think I need to upgrade my hot end to a V6.

I still run my hexagon with very few issues. Could you share some examples of your issue? I could also run your file through my slicer if you'd like to see if it straightens out so you will know for sure if it's slicer or hardware

There's nothing different between the hexagon and the v6 that would change any print issues you were having. If you have "uneven layers" with the hex, you'd have it with the v6

Yeah, I just have to print something again. I took pictures on the nozzle rubbing the glass.

Make sure that your M565 z axis offset command in startup gcode is before your G29 auto bed leveling code.

  15. If you have the R1 you just need to adjust your Z offset to 1.

Yea, that is a good starting point. Then tune it from there.
