    Yes, without the M565 you will get a slightly random Z offset. Put it in there and you will be consistent I bet

    The M565 has the Z offset as its argument. More negative (i.e. -1.1) is further from the bed and less negative (i.e. -0.9) is closer to the bed.

    Ah, I'll give it a try. RepRap wiki says Marlin supports an offset parameter with G29. Maybe I misunderstood.
