Hi, I just tested my first print at 1 micron to see if it would improve the print and although some areas are a lot better there are still holes in the print where its not fully covering the infill and an theres a part of the print thats warped a lot (always seems to be same spot) print quality has previously been better than this :S IMG_1748.JPG IMG_1750.JPG IMG_1753.JPG

How many top and bottom layers are you using?
    More... you want more.

Not sure what you mean with 1 micron - I'm assuming you mean .1mm layer height. (which is actually 100 microns). Definitely need more top and bottom layers like Mark says and your z-offset needs to be tweaked. Not sure which program you are using but in Mattercontrol under settings > printer in Start g-code (probably M565 Z-1.0) probably could be better at M565 Z-0.90. that should eliminate the stringing in the bottom layer

I would try .8 for bottom/Top thickness. For that model you shouldn't need a raft, something else is going on. Using PLA? What temp? Also what is the Print Speed? If using .1mm, your print speed shouldn't exceed 60mm/s (probably 30mm/s should be better) Also how much infill % are you using? Maybe a higher percentage might help.

Focus on the 1st layer. If that isn't printing right nothing else will work. That way you don't waste a lot of filament. In Cura I had to set my z-offset to M565 Z-0.75 for the first layer - so play around with that. I'm sure that is your biggest problem from what I can tell.

If PLA won't stick without a raft then something is not quite right.
    Bare glass or tape?

I typically use at least 1mm of top fill layers. Smaller layer height = more top fill layers so something like this

    0.3mm layer = 0.9mm top layers (3)
    0.2mm layer = 1.0mm top layers (5)
    0.1mm layer = 1.2-1.5mm top layers (12-15)

otherwise you tend to get pillowing. You can reduce those a bit but it sucks having a bad print because of not enough.
