Bed cover/tape

I still have some black bed covers, but was experimenting with alternatives against the day of not being able to source them. Black painters tape (sometimes called crepe tape) seems to be a workable alternative.

It must be black (or quite dark) for the LED leveling sensor to work correctly.

 

I experimented with white and it just didn't work consistently. Black is the answer.

 

black bed covers ? Mine came with buildtak on it but a stack of those stickers - I’d go with buildtak but If you like the stickers Pm me and I’ll ship ya the small stack I’ve got

 

Off topic but I started buying the Wham bam flex systems because they are cheaper than buildtak by about 50%. I’m pretty happy with them, may want to look into them if your in the market - no idea if they have the size you need

 

I am good now with the black painters tape
That makes the LED bed sensor work and the rest is fine.
Just needed to retweek the leveling.
