Hi guys I'm new to Robo 3D Printing, just got mine yesterday. Sadly, it had a broken belt connector. See Photo. I glued the broken piece and put the belt back together, but now when it is calibrating, it shudders when the base plate goes all the way back. I have since then printed another connector and will fit it shortly, but I was wondering what I had done wrong.
I was offered the chance to return my printer but the hassle of packing it and reshipping it etc was too much for what seems a little problem.
    Can you please help.
    George

Open a replacement parts request. They will send you replacements. Your printed one should be fine for now.
Check the belt is positioned correctly and that the drive cog is not slipped.

Wow, thanks for your quick and helpful reply. I sent an email to them for a replacement part, as I am in Australia. Regards

Advice needed from a newbie. I am getting teeth marks on the PLA filament and problems with feeding. Is there are solution. See photo. Some on the website are suggesting a "Hobbed Bolt for Gregs Wade Extruder - M8 RepRap Prusa 3d Printer" which I can get from eBay. Is that the way to go? Also, from the photo I have included can someone please tell me what type of extruder is that and should I upgrade it to solve my problem? Thanks in advance
    Regard

Print an oiler and/or season your nozzle. When PLA is melted it becomes very sticky and expands a lot, so it has a tendency to get stuck in the extruder. An oiler will solve this most of the time.

If this is that sample of BLUE PLA ... it is junk. Get some good filament.

Thanks for that. I just ordered some from the NET, both ABS and PLA. What would you classify as "good filament". How would I differentiate between the good and the bad?
    Thanks again.

Good is pretty much anything other than that Sample blue junk :)

I have had no real issues with any other filament (standard ABS/PLA at least).

You can print with that blue, but it is a bit picky and for a new user I would say toss it and start with something more reliable.
