That is why the metalstud one kicks butt.
Sadly will not work on the stock hexagon.

During warranty i left the hexagon in as robo was very good about replacing parts.
I couldnt have downtime so i bought extra hexagon assemblies.

After warranty i went with the e3dv6. I got mine from www.printedsolid.com

He has some awesome bundle deals for our robo and is part of our forum :)

Just got the new thermister and CAREFULLY installed it.
Double checked it was seated fully and plugged in correctely (keyed plug).
Fired it up and the current temp shows 230C on the extruder and zero target temp.

I tried two different computers *(linux and windows) with the same results.

Do I need to reset the temp somehow?

    Just stepped in it again...
I had the printer on it's side and it looks like I've either messed up the usb port or the printer cable. (sigh) I didn't even notice I had it on the wrong side.
Now it's not connecting at all. Says port 6 not available or something like that.
I'm hoping this is a standard printer cable. I'm going to the store to pick one up if they have one like it.

New printer cable got me back up and connected now on to why my temp reads 230C when stone cold.
I'll resolve this thermister issue and start a new thread for the temp.

    Thanks everyone for the help.
Bottom line, be careful around the wires of the thermister they are DELICATE!
I admitted to busting it but Robo staff sent me a new one under warranty anyway. Way to go Robo!!!

MAX TEMP is usually a short in the thermistor wiring, this is not max temp, but a lot higher than room temp -- I presume :)

Make sure the wires are solidly connected and nothing is shorted to say,the heater block.

If you dont hold your tongue out just right or a breeze catches the thermistor....it breaks :) glad to hear robo is taking care of you.
