I'm thinking about upgrading my original (non auto-leveling) version Robo to a E3D all metal hot end. Are there any known compatibility issues I should be aware of? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Nope, works fine. Takes some time to do, but read the instructions and it should be OK.
You'll want to update the firmware to reflect the new max temp and thermistor type.

If you have specific questions when you get to it, fire them over.
The only real change (IMHO) with the install is that the new v6 uses the PTFE cold-end liner so it should be much the same as the v5.

You may need to drill out the hole in the plastic part that holds the extruder where the filament comes out the bottom so the ptfe tube can pass down into body of the cold end

Got her installed. Awesome!! E3D prints better than the original J-head ever did. Thanks for the help.

Time consuming and you need to pay attention to details, but not extremely hard.
    Really nice upgrade IMHO.
