I used to think so too and had mine tweaked way done in Repetier. However when I switched to Simplify3D I left all of the speeds and accelerations at the defaults (some of which were higher than the defaults in Repetier) and everything worked fine.

Save is to save it to the local file ( where you opened it from), Verify compiles it to make sure it's all correct, and Upload uploads the firmware to the Arduino on the Robo3d (the Robo3d must be on with the USB cable connected). Upload will also do a Verify first. I make sure I don't have any printing software connected to the Robo3d before I Upload.

Just gives me an error, . Screw it lol.
I'm not trying to fix anything so I'll just leave it alone before I break something. Thanks for letting me know how to get to it at least.

If you ever need to reflash it is really not that hard at all. You probably need to specify the correct com port or board type. It is pretty hard to mess things up unless you put garbage in the configuration.h file.

If it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.

I ran in to this last night when attempting to flash my firmware to the latest file (Jerry supplied it in one of the other threads)

If you're getting the error that core.a couldn't be updated: access denied
You will need to run the program as Administrator. (Right click, run as. . .)

If you're getting an error for file size or to make sure you have the right board available:
    Tools>Board: Select Arduino Mega 2560
Tools>Com Port: Select the port for your board
