Yeah, I figured since you specify during setup that you're using a ROBO3D R1, that the software was "aware" of the machine it was using; all the settings that are applicable.

Seems common sense to me that any descent software that interfaces with hardware should have some basic fault tolerancing to top you from doing bad things to your machine.

yup... it claims to know the size of your print area... should know the other limits yea? Well.. now you know. Easy to see and adjust in the arduino IDE

It being an open hardware/software sort of device... it is expected that the users will be tweaking/tuning/changing.
Most do, but it would help the beginner.

I kinda agree.. but they are trying to sell it in the plug and play market.. and it Ain't quite.. and it will kill their rep... which is warm at best anyway.

Oh the firmware slipped my mind, were you able to change the temps, and print with ABS?

How do you mark a thread as "Solved"?

PS. Yes. Got it to print with ABS at 235/80. However, can't get it to stick to the glass with glue or blu tape. It sticks for a bit, but a few layers later the whole thing comes up. Have't quite mastered the art, but at least it's "printing". I'm doing much better with PLA.

I don't think ABS works well with tape. I suggest aquanet hairspray or ABS slurry.

Agreed. I think hairspray is the next thing I'll try.

aquanet or bust. It just is so dang easy. I gather it comes up nice with water. I use alcohol .. dries fast. cleans nice.
