Just did print some parts and here is the result (in the picture).

You can see at yellow circle, that there is a gap between lines. At orange circle, the top layer have little blob in the end of line. Do this sign of too fast and too much extrude or it's just because of the model?

I have calibrate the e-steps and have tried different settings.
Before I tweaked e-steps, Multiplier extrusion and speed.

I have read this one also, http://support.3dverkstan.se/article/23-a-visual-ultimaker-troubleshooting-guide#wallspace.

Just play with S3D, looks like I can fill those gap by changing the Shell amount. Change to 1 shell (was set 2 shells), in preview it looks can be filled.

The orange is relatively normal and the smoothness of your top layer is a function of the flat on the nozzle outlet. The Hexagon has a pretty fine flat spot so it's not surprising to see a surface like that.

Actually I can eliminate the blob a bit by reducing the hotend temp. But for the gap, I still can't fill it. Was changed into 1 shell but also didn't work if the wall thickness 1 mm.

The gap is probably a fault of the model. Make sure you run the repairs on it (simplify has a lot of them built in).

Yes, I have run the repairs. I tried click all of the repairs options but it's zero repairs.

Open a support issue with Simplify and send them the model.

    Try using these layer heights

    for 0.100 use 0.1058
    for 0.200 use 0.2046
    for 0.300 use 0.3034"

To close the gaps as shown in circle one I had to reduce the extrusion width value in S3D from e.g 0.41mm to 0.39mm. After slicing you should see then in the preview the 3 closed/sticking together perimeters instead of two with a gap between... I had the same problem with the T4 Mini Quadcopter Arm...

Ah, good approach. Changing the extrusion width.

I too have this problem with S3D and hope they will address it in a future update. The only solutions I could find was to reduce the extrusion width, the default is 0.48 for a 0.4mm nozel, or use a different slicer, like Slic3r. I'm tending to use Slic3r with Repetier Host a lot more again as it's come a long long way and has some really nice slicing tricks. I also find Slic3r more accurate for producing accurate prints that need to fit.

I want to use MatterControl but the latest software running slow in my computer. It used more memory.

Did you ever contact their tech support (Simplify)?
They would have responded a few times by now.

Got a response from simplify3d. They had me go help > reset all settings.

Was able to create a new profile with R3D autolevel. Now I just need to configure my fff profiles.

    I miss cura... so simple

e: wow i totally posted in the wrong thread. Go me.

Yea, I concur...simplify is not simple to configure in detail.
    More like Skeinforge :)
But if you don't need to tweak the details it is not too bad.

I haven't got reply from S3D for the solution. But I (I think) got fixed my gap problem. After reset all settings and watching in slicing preview bunch of time, found setups for the Outline Overlap (28) and Minimum Infill Length (1 mm) in Infill tab (those are perfect for me) all gaps are closed now;)

I'm still waiting for reply from them, hopefully they fix the gap with stock settings:)
