    @IsirEnder, what slicer are you using with Repetier-Host. I believe you are making this more complicated than it needs to be. Repetier-host does not need the bed and extruder to be pre-heated before slicing. The problem is that you are using manual controls, while at the same time, your extruder profile automatically sets the temperature, Stop using manual control and your issues should go away. It is all in the Repetier documentation.

    @WheresWaldo You're probably right, let me try it not using manual controls.

    Tried again, but this time they the heater bed heated up but the extruder didnt, then after a minute, the heater bed cooled down. Not sure why when I try to close Repetier it says the heaters are still on even after i disable them in manual control and turn off the printer

    Yesterday they were both heating up at the same rate. And the bed temperature went up to 75 and has now dropped down to 50, while the extruder has yet to get above 30. I can't press the power button under manual control and move the printer along it's axis, and still cant press disconnect after turning off both the extruder and heat bed.

    Maybe (as someone suggested) try different software.

    I updated the Arduino, think it's something wrond with Repetier, because I can't manually control my printer or disconnect my printer.

    Well there are a lot of choices:
    ->Free<-
    Cura
    MatterControl
    Kisslicer
    and others...

    Or simplify3D (not free, but best software I have seen or used).

    I concur with the statement about simplify it is completely worth it and if u ever get a new printer or anything like that it's an upgrade that moves with you

    Looks like the heat bed and extruder are working properly now, but now it has become uncalibrated. It is now printing several inches above the print bed. Not sure how to correct this and calibrate it again. Been trying to lower it by turning the threaded z axis rods, but it isnt going lower.

    I was able to lower it a lot more, but when I press the home button in manual control, it still goes too high.

    That nut on the axis should be up with the carriage and the end stop switch
