Hi all, I bought a new R1 (Plus?) and opened it 20 mins ago. I was following the setup video and noticed that the 'home all' made an awful racket when the carriage came across. When I had a closer look at the printer, I also noticed that there's some kind of cable hanging out the back from under the bed and a loose screw hanging out. When I lifted up the magnetic bed it seemed like it hasn't been connected together or assembled underneath.

I've taken some pics and videos, would you please take a moment to help me understand if that noise is what is expected when the carriage comes home and also advise me how I can connect that pulley system thingy under the bed up properly? At the moment I have no clue so even the smallest help would be appreciated. I have limited mobility with one arm, but I'm keen to try and hope you'll be patient with me :)

Please let me know if I can take any further images/provide more info, and thanks again in advance for any help,
    Ryan.

There should be nothing hanging like that.
You Y axis belt anchor is broken. There may be a spare in the box.

You should contact Robo tech support directly (new printer, warranty, etc.)

Thank you Mark, I've sent an email off via the contact form. I do have a part in a bag labelled "Spare Part for Y Axis (Print Bed) Belt Included" which I guess is the same thing as a Y axis anchor. However I can now see that the anchors on both ends are broken so replacing one isn't going to be enough. I do wonder how a printer can arrive like that, I do live in the UK so I wonder if rough shipping could cause something like that to happen. Everything felt packed very well and secure though.

Anyway now that I know what I'm searching for, I did find a thread on here with people replacing broken ones that gives me hope it's a straight forward fix (http://community.robo3d.com/index.php?threads/r1-y-axis-belt-holder-piece.4627/). I also came across these assembly instructions http://guide.robo3d.com/Guide/Installing+The+Y-Axis+Upgrade+on+Your+R1+3D+Printer/3 step 19 and 20. If team Robo can send me out replacement y-axis belt parts I'll give the install a try.

R1 Plus should have white LED. And R1 (No plus) has Blue LED. My R1 Plus under the bed also looks different than yours. I could be wrong though, I am new to Robo3D. Got mine only two weeks ago.

Thanks CJH. I did purchase it as a R1 Plus model, but will check further if I have received a R1 model.

They should be able to get you out another Y belt anchor easy enough. Pity that you have two broken.

If you know someone local with a printer you can get them to print the part (just tossing that out there).

I'd suggest printing yourself some parts when you get it up :)

Shipping is rather hard on the 3D printers.

I believe @CJH is correct, that is an R1 not a +PLUS. It's not just the blue LEDs that give it away, it also has Metric threaded rods for the Z axis rather than Leadscrews.
