Matter control is taking forever to save my designs after I re-size them. If I download a design it re-sizes immediately. The designs are not very complicated, just wondering if there was something I can do to speed the process up. I let it run over night and it still had not saved my edit.

I finally got one of my edits to save and started the print. Half way through my printer lost connection to my computer and after several re-starts and re-installations...I still can not get my printer to connect. When I plug the printer cable into the printer, the LED comes on, but then directly off again. What could be causing these issues, any ideas?

I had a number of issues with MC not wanting to connect, usually when upgrading. Rip-out-and-reinstall sometimes worked. Not always, but you might try that. See if Repetier or Cura (or anything else) will at least connect. That can rule out a printer problem.

MC is not my favorite printing software, but it does try to make it easier.

I have the same problem connecting to the printer. Mike Kelly and others on the forum helped me correct it. It worked for a short time and then it would not connect again. Still can't get a connection. When I did get connected, it would not print. I am out of ideas on how to fix it. I am new to 3D printing.

Try Repetier Host + Slic3r. I've never had a connection issue using Repetier but have had difficulties with Matter Control.

    Steve, try this:

Connect your computer to the printer with the USB cable
You are going to go to control panels, then device manager (go to systems and security first if that is an option, then to device manager).
There you will see TAURINO – ATmega 2560 (Or maybe Serial driver, something under the Com & LPT drop down)
Double click on TAURINO – ATmega 2560
Go to Change Settings then Update Driver, or just simply Update Driver (which every comes first).
Now select “Browse my computer for driver software.”
Now select “Let me pick from list…”
Now select "Ports (COMS & LPT)"
Now choose Arduino and Mega 2560 and select Next.
Click "Yes" or "OK" if it says windows does not recommend this and do you want to proceed anyway.
The proper driver is called arduino.inf
    The driver is attached herehttps://www.dropbox.com/s/v0w42owowgz92k0/arduino.inf

Thanks Mike. I am having my computer checked out to make sure it is not causing the problems. I will try what you suggest and let you know if it works.

Mike .............. My computer is back. I started what you suggested. Connected computer and printer with UBS cable. Went to control panel, did not find systems and security, then went to device manager. Do not see Taurino-AT mega 2560 or serial driver or COM & LPT drop down.

I found the snipping tool, made a snip of device manager and can't find a way to send it to you.

Ok the device you're looking for is the "Unknown Device" under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Follow the previous steps using that Unknown Device as your ATMega
