Hey, all metal can go very high but the thermistors may not take it. I would recommend around 295 but you should never have to shoot that high. Play it safe and stick to a max of 280 so you don't kill of the thermistors.

    Happy printing

Awesome. its alway good to have a little extra so you can use heat to unblock the nozzle but keep an eye on it. Too hot can cause as many issues as too cold when printing

If you are going above 300 I would suggest a thermocouple, not a thermistor.

Thanks I'll give that a go. Not sure of my model but I guess I'll try the 8th rods r1.

Would it be in any of my info from the box?

Why, no. THAT would be telling.

You are going to need to measure them.

Then go to harbor freight and pick up a pair of cheap calipers. You'll thank me later.

There are a few things on that list. But I'm on it.

    Wish me luck.

so far so good doing first print. anything I should watch out for to make sure I got it right?

I did take the hot end up to 260 so I know that's working.

Hey guys here is a first print after the update its quick and dirty but I just needed to check the height.

Anyone know how to get rid of the little lip around the bottom of my prints? not the end of the world but it would be nice if they were not there.

Usually that's a symptom of being too low on the first layer. Increase your offset a bit.

Nice print. It's such a great machine once it's been tweaked and calibrated, a few upgrades for older models, and you've figured out the software.
FYI, the hexagon silicon sleeve is good to 400C.
