Unanswered My thermistor broke

    well one of the wires connecting to my thermistor tore . Anyone know what kind of thermistor could replace a robo 3d thermistor?

    Epcos 100K thermistor or equivalent

    Yeah but it is a hot end with a thermistor. Its more expensive but it is 100k so im just gonna save the extras for parts just incase something else breaks

    Have you used this? My boot somehow cracked and fell off, dislodging the themistor. I'd rather not deal with the boot at all if this can securely attach to the extruder block without the boot posing as a failure point.

    Just looked closely at the attach point. It's indented but not threaded so I'm not sure how this is going to fit...

    Wait, I'm a dummy. I looked at the wrong side of the block

    if you whant something easy you can go for the expensive way and take a E3D V6 or the cheap way and take an j-head (E3D V5 knock off)

    You can just use kapton tape. Wrap it around the heater block to hold the thermistor in place.

    Thanks. Robo3D suggested that since they're out of extra boot. I solved it by ordering a screw-in themistor.

    The metal stud ones are the perfect way to go. A lot less likely to break :)
