Anyone out there try the new pla/pha from color fab? How well does it print? Is it relatively a straight replacement for PLA or are there issues?

    Cheers.

Hi Robert. colorFabb has been making PLA/PHA since ~4/13. We've carried it for them in the US since 8/13. It's a great material, but not new :) The point of the addition of the PHA is that you get a higher elongation to break. Standard PLA blends are strong, but quite brittle with poor impact strength. The point of the PHA blend is that it improves on that to get you something that prints like PLA, but with improved impact resistance/elongation to break. People also like the vibrancy of the colors and the overall quality control.
