Yes, it is less effective on non-metallic filaments, but still can make a subtle difference in the finished product.

Would you be able to polish PETG?
Thanks for the great information! Very informative!

I don't see why not. For non-metallic filaments I would try something small as the abrasive (like BB's).
You might could even use an abrasive polishing compound.

    I have not tried that...

Here is a photo of a failed print with Bronzefil that I polished for a test.
    Shiny.

(sorry a little hard to focus with one hand)

I'm assuming a "Tumbler" is as it sounds, it tumbles the piece(s) with some sort of smoothing agent until the piece has a fine finish.
I'm going to check them out, hopefully there's some good Youtube videos on it.
The Robo R1 shipped today by the way, will be here shortly.
    Extremely excited.

What size would you think might be limited?
    The model?
    The tumbler?

The model is obviously got to fit in the tumber...
I can't imagine an actual size limit on the tumbler.

They don't spin too fast, you would need to experiment.

Yes, I was referring to the tumbler.
I've found multiple user-made tumblers on Thingiverse that I can print out. I'd love to make a large scale one, as for the Robo R1 can print upto 10x10x10.

Sure, like I said I can't imagine an actual size limitation on the tumbler.
Those smaller ones rotate at about 50-100 RPM (sorry, can't get any more exact than that).

Yea Interservo is great I ordered 2 spools of orange because amazon was out. They sent me a sample of their Nylon filament too. I'm in Oregon though so it takes awhile for interservo to get to me...hard for me to beat amazon prime.
