I really do not think this is a slicer issue so I would not expect Simplify to fix this.
I only mention that if it DID that would be interesting.

I bought it for the functional supports it generates and have never dealt with a slicer issue since, but really this looks like more of a mechanical issue you are seeing.

With 3D printing it can be difficult to explicitly say at times :)

Setting the shell thickness seemed to help but still present. I going to use mattercontrol and send to sd see if that works.

Here is a print direct from the sd card to rule out comm issues. looks like its on all the corners now except the -x opposite of the usb.

Cooling settings are at 100% and disabled for the first two layer, seems odd that I can print perfect round or oblong objects, I have printed 1 layer spirals, Tires, buddah, lightsaber, and they seem fine.

Edges lift, it's called curling. Not really odd, perfectly normal for PLA.

Add a cooling fan man, it's your best bet

Turning the extruder temp down seemed to help quite a bit, which made sense with the larger perimeter layers it was looking better.

How is it that I can print awesome detail like this but can't print a simple object with sides, as long as it is oval or round no problem.

Watch it when you print, does the plastic kinda curl up on that corner?

Printing is a complex mistress. I constantly have issues, generally model related but it's still very frustrating and confusing at times

Yea I see it curl up, wonder if the fan is bad, I can see it spinning, but doesn't seem to blow that much. What would be the real test, put a blow dryer on it when it prints? I don't seem to have as much as an issue with ABS.

When I try to print in cura at 195c I get a warning to low, is there somehow I can change this? I want to print the fan duct.

ABS doesn't and shouldn't use a parts fan.

What I hear works well is to take a big desk fan or something and blow it at the print. That will help mitigate curling.

They set the mintemp at 195 for some reason, download a firmware and adjust the minimum extrusion temperature to something like 180 http://help.robo3dprinter.com/Wiki/RoBo_3D_Firmware

The wheels look great. Care to share your Cura settings?

I did the tires in Matter control using default slicer, ABS - 230Extruder and 80 Bed, Layer Height .2, Fill .15.

Wait, are we talking about ABS curling or PLA?

For ABS -- no parts fan, of course, but for PLA...

I seldom have major curl issues but if it is wanting to curl and adding a fan (or running the parts fan at 100%) did not help then perhaps you need to drop the extrusion temp a bit. Are you printing now at 195 c? I see (earlier in this thread) that you were having issues with that temp.

Maybe your existing parts fan is weak? Does it feel like it is moving some air around?

What are you using for adhesion. What was the CFM of the fan you installed.

Try adding a desk fan in front of your print as well.

I am trying to figure out a way to add a fan to the front having 1 parts fan seems weird to me. Maybe printing with the view-able side facing the fan is the ticket till a better fan solution can be made.

I used this one, looks like you can do two with this one. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:431160
Mike, I am using the stock 40 mm fan that came with my R1. I think it is working better but I think I still need to turn the heat down I am up 197 w/ 50c on the bed. I put a 4 inch computer fan on it for the first half of the print I'm doing now, will see if there is any difference. I think the initial problem I was having with this piece was it was pushing it to one corner and making a blob, but putting a fan on the front seemed to cure that.
