Robo3d R1 with new printed modular X carriage and E3d V6

    I wanted to share the pics with the new modular X carriage from Mike Kelly design, installed on my Robo.

    That looks like a really nice pice I wish it had a cable link mount. Looks like your extruder may need to be calibrated

    Romero- what did you print that carriage in? ABS? PLA? Thanks...

    Mike Kelly - any chance you could add that cable chain linkage to this???

    I printed the carriage on PLA Pro from MatterHackers.

    Yes Robert, I was so excited to print all the part and I didn't calibrate the extruder, plus I was using a new white Makerbot filament. Everything is printed on low resolution (0.3)

    Ya it happens, been there and done that. Mike makes some amazing things. I want the x carriage with the auto leveling probe and that belt set up on yours.

    I'm using a different carriage of mike kellys on my machine. ( just the plain jane one )

    This cable chain adapter works for anything though ( its the chain_experimental file )

    need a longer screw which i dont have so mine is duct taped on at the moment lol. I also need to re-mount my cable chain to the front of the robo now.

    Lookin good. I don't have any plans on the cable chain. I'm not a huge fan of the design because i don't think it really has anywhere to go once it reaches max height so you lose some Z distance.
