Solved SainSmart reprap discount smart controller SDCARD PROBLEMS

Yeah, all of my cards are small. I have 2 8gb and 1 4gb. What utility do you use to format? I use the cmd.exe with diskpart

 

tried 3 sd cards and no success guess ill just wait until i get a new controller.

 

Thank you all for your participation. Problem solved! It was actually 2 bad controllers in a row. I questioned everything and it looks like in the end it was not an operator error. I am just glad to be printing on sd now! My computer crashed a couple times causing my prints to fail! After 48 hours of printing you better believe it hurt.

Lesson be learned. Sometimes it is the hardware and not you.

 

I had some concerns but I gave you the benefit of the doubt Glad you got it sorted

 

Sorry to necro this post but.....
For those who started experiencing this problem after years of use (like me today) clean SD card contacts with alcohol.
Works like new again

I was getting same problem (Card inserted) message but (No SD Card) when trying to navigate to it to select the code to print.
