I am printing a big screw used in a headphone holder and the threads blob up. Any ideas? Anything else I print doesn't have these issues.

    Too hot,
    Too slow,
    Extruder not calibrated correctly,

Those are a few possibilities.I am in the process of printing the same holder I will post a picture when done.

I have that one in use, I had to print colder than usual and a tad faster with lots of cooling

The original designer has also made a STEP file available so that it can be modified. I wished more people would do that. I modified the base just a bit to make it easier to print without supports or messing too much with the extruder/filament profile.

The original is from 2014 not the one recently posted this past week.

60mm/s, Inland PLA, 210°C, bed 45°c, 0.25mm layers, no supports, hairspray

I know I could print at like 75mm/s with those settings, but I was too busy doing other things to fine tune the PLA profile more. I also think .25 layers is too big for the curve at the bottom and for the screw threads. I may reprint it in 0.1 mm layers
