May 7, 2015 at 6:42 PM - bamhm182: Was there an adapter inside of the blue piece?
    May 7, 2015 at 6:42 PM - bamhm182: Yeah
May 7, 2015 at 6:43 PM - bamhm182: I've seen the picture, but did you actually have a metal connector, or was it just sitting in the printed bit?
May 7, 2015 at 6:44 PM - jbigler1986: I printed an adapter that bolted to the opposite side of greg's Wade. Bug part of my issue I'm sure
    May 7, 2015 at 6:45 PM - bamhm182: Alright, good to know
May 7, 2015 at 6:46 PM - bamhm182: I'm going to use a metal bowden adapter, but I'm not sure how exactly I want to go about it
May 7, 2015 at 6:46 PM - Droid: bamhm, what kinect are you using? are you trying to use it for 3d scans?
May 7, 2015 at 6:46 PM - bamhm182: I'm thinking I could screw it in, this would allow me to replace it if need be, but it seems like it could be a pain to get to screw in and align right
May 7, 2015 at 6:46 PM - jbigler1986: Let me try and find a picture
May 7, 2015 at 6:46 PM - bamhm182: My other thought is that I could design a hex hole for it to slide into and be glued in place
May 7, 2015 at 6:47 PM - bamhm182: Or maybe I could just do like I'm doing with this trophy and toss it in there once it hits layer XX
May 7, 2015 at 6:47 PM - bamhm182: I've just got an original Kinect. And yeah, I'm trying to get it to work for 3d scans, and the occasional skype usage
May 7, 2015 at 6:48 PM - bamhm182: The main reason it isn't working is probably because I'm on Windows 10
May 7, 2015 at 6:49 PM - Droid: ive got both, the xboxone doesnt work with my computer, not enough power:( just bought this computer last year, only get maybe 13 fps if im lucky on that one
    May 7, 2015 at 6:49 PM - jbigler1986: Very similar to this
    May 7, 2015 at 6:49 PM - jbigler1986: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:38409
May 7, 2015 at 6:49 PM - Droid: original kinect i keep losing tracking when scanning
May 7, 2015 at 6:51 PM - Droid: ill get half way thru scan and it loses tracking of object
    May 7, 2015 at 6:51 PM - bamhm182: Weird...
    May 7, 2015 at 6:51 PM - jbigler1986: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:29102 there it is
May 7, 2015 at 6:54 PM - Droid: was thinking of just gettin a new new computer with better graphics and donating this one to my dad whos running a 8+ year old desktop
May 7, 2015 at 6:54 PM - Droid: right now im using a HP Envy23 touchsmart and its to much work to attempt to upgrade graphics to run the kinect v2
May 7, 2015 at 6:56 PM - jbigler1986: Much happier with the way thin one is turning out
    May 7, 2015 at 6:58 PM - jbigler1986: Bill you still here
May 7, 2015 at 7:01 PM - Stephen Capistron: He's busy trying to get an A++ in C++
May 7, 2015 at 7:02 PM - jbigler1986: Who wants to go to the store for me and get a stupid hair dryer
    May 7, 2015 at 7:04 PM - jbigler1986: I hate programming
May 7, 2015 at 7:05 PM - bamhm182: jb, that does look like it could fail
    May 7, 2015 at 7:06 PM - jbigler1986: It wasn't lined up perfectly either
May 7, 2015 at 7:09 PM - jbigler1986: Which caused most of the issues. Live and learn
May 7, 2015 at 7:10 PM - bamhm182: Ugh, so that thing I was printing failed about half way in
May 7, 2015 at 7:10 PM - bamhm182: There goes like 5 hours and probably about a quarter spool
May 7, 2015 at 7:10 PM - jbigler1986: I would rather try and fail then not try at all
    May 7, 2015 at 7:10 PM - bamhm182: 179g
May 7, 2015 at 7:11 PM - bamhm182: Still though, I just want to get these trophies done so I don't have to worry about them anymore. >_<
May 7, 2015 at 7:12 PM - Mike Kelly: well the robo's printing...
    May 7, 2015 at 7:12 PM - jbigler1986: Yay
May 7, 2015 at 7:13 PM - jbigler1986: Did you see my crappy benchy print
May 7, 2015 at 7:13 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah
May 7, 2015 at 7:13 PM - Mike Kelly: i'm wondering what happened
May 7, 2015 at 7:14 PM - Mike Kelly: i might just have to print these on the rep2x
    May 7, 2015 at 7:14 PM - jbigler1986: X belt was a little loose
May 7, 2015 at 7:14 PM - Mike Kelly: getting annoyed with this
May 7, 2015 at 7:14 PM - Mike Kelly: ah
    May 7, 2015 at 7:14 PM - jbigler1986: Looking good now
May 7, 2015 at 7:16 PM - jbigler1986: Trying to print the blocks?
May 7, 2015 at 7:16 PM - Mike Kelly: yup
May 7, 2015 at 7:16 PM - Mike Kelly: we'll see how the first one comes out
    May 7, 2015 at 7:16 PM - Mike Kelly: i just can't get a consistent first layer
May 7, 2015 at 7:17 PM - Mike Kelly: which is concerning
    May 7, 2015 at 7:18 PM - jbigler1986: Can't help you out there
    May 7, 2015 at 7:18 PM - jbigler1986: Not with bowden anyways
May 7, 2015 at 7:20 PM - bamhm182: Looks like this one is coming out well, jb
    May 7, 2015 at 7:21 PM - jbigler1986: Yes it does
May 7, 2015 at 7:22 PM - jbigler1986: I'm gonna car jack my neighbor. He has his 67 shelby cobra out
May 7, 2015 at 7:23 PM - jbigler1986: Mike get the r1 back in business
May 7, 2015 at 7:36 PM - Mike Kelly: Yeah I need to clean the boot
    May 7, 2015 at 7:37 PM - bamhm182: [IMG][IMG]
    May 7, 2015 at 7:37 PM - bamhm182: I think I've figured out what I'm going to do
May 7, 2015 at 7:38 PM - bamhm182: The metal bowden connector will screw into the bottom and the top part will attach to Greg's
May 7, 2015 at 7:46 PM - bamhm182: Going to print that off by itself to make sure it all fits before I actually attach it to the Wade and print that out
May 7, 2015 at 7:49 PM - jbigler1986: I wouldn't make it more complicated than what it already is to be honest with you
    May 7, 2015 at 7:51 PM - bamhm182: It shouldn't be too complicated
    May 7, 2015 at 7:51 PM - jbigler1986: I mean setting up the bowden
    May 7, 2015 at 7:51 PM - bamhm182: I know
May 7, 2015 at 7:52 PM - jbigler1986: How are you connect that to greg's Wade?
    May 7, 2015 at 8:02 PM - bamhm182: It'll print as one piece
    May 7, 2015 at 8:04 PM - bamhm182: [IMG]
May 7, 2015 at 8:04 PM - bamhm182: All that is going to be one piece
May 7, 2015 at 8:05 PM - jbigler1986: How is the bowden adapter going to attach the that
May 7, 2015 at 8:05 PM - Mike Kelly: kinda think you're asking for bucling having an air gap after the extruder
May 7, 2015 at 8:16 PM - Mike Kelly: just bought my most expensive printer part yet :-X
May 7, 2015 at 8:16 PM - bamhm182: Think so? What if I make it so it's just small enough to fit some cotton in?
    May 7, 2015 at 8:17 PM - jbigler1986: oh snap. no you didn't mike
    May 7, 2015 at 8:17 PM - Mike Kelly: i so did
May 7, 2015 at 8:18 PM - Mike Kelly: bam not sure why you want it after the hobb
May 7, 2015 at 8:19 PM - Mike Kelly: it might work but not sure it's worth the risk
May 7, 2015 at 8:19 PM - Mike Kelly: general rule of thumb with bowden is you want a seamless line
May 7, 2015 at 8:23 PM - jbigler1986: slower or faster for bridging? what works best
May 7, 2015 at 8:26 PM - Mike Glass: BondTech?
May 7, 2015 at 8:29 PM - Mike Glass: what are you printing at 5mm/s JB?
    May 7, 2015 at 8:31 PM - jbigler1986: no i think outline was at like 15. lol
May 7, 2015 at 8:34 PM - Mike Glass: mine goint at 40mm I almost caught up to yours, I started 45 min ago
May 7, 2015 at 8:36 PM - Mike Glass: its gonna be ugly
    May 7, 2015 at 8:37 PM - jbigler1986: it's a tough test. doesn't look like it would be
    May 7, 2015 at 8:39 PM - jbigler1986: [IMG]
May 7, 2015 at 8:39 PM - bamhm182: MK, I was wanting to put it there because I feel like if it's before the hobbed bolt, it will oil the hobbed bolt and make it less effective
May 7, 2015 at 8:40 PM - bamhm182: Second one looks a LOT better, jb
May 7, 2015 at 8:40 PM - jbigler1986: and that's why you check your belts. see the difference
    May 7, 2015 at 8:41 PM - jbigler1986: I can live with that
May 7, 2015 at 8:41 PM - bamhm182: That's all you did between the two?
    May 7, 2015 at 8:41 PM - jbigler1986: yep
    May 7, 2015 at 8:41 PM - bamhm182: Wow
May 7, 2015 at 8:42 PM - jbigler1986: should be added to the troubleshooting guide
May 7, 2015 at 8:44 PM - Mike Glass: holy out of wack
    May 7, 2015 at 8:44 PM - jbigler1986: ?
May 7, 2015 at 8:46 PM - Mike Glass: the first one
May 7, 2015 at 8:48 PM - Mike Glass: Heres my torches, http://imgur.com/DqqWaPs
May 7, 2015 at 8:50 PM - jbigler1986: did you paint the one in the middle
    May 7, 2015 at 8:51 PM - bamhm182: Looks good, MG

May 7, 2015 at 8:51 PM - jbigler1986: bridge torture test on the way now
May 7, 2015 at 8:51 PM - bamhm182: So many people at my work would kill for the things you're making, haha
    May 7, 2015 at 8:51 PM - jbigler1986: got 2 parts with different settings
May 7, 2015 at 8:52 PM - jbigler1986: see if faster or slower works better
May 7, 2015 at 8:52 PM - bamhm182: If I were to try and bake the nozzle and heat sink with the goal of removing filament, what temperature would you recommend I do it at?
May 7, 2015 at 8:53 PM - bamhm182: Also, is it possible to remove the heat brake from the heat sink in the hex?
    May 7, 2015 at 8:53 PM - TechSupportGo: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8FWeUGKaHaxeUFXaXJ5Y1FCMFk&authuser=0
May 7, 2015 at 8:53 PM - jbigler1986: yeah. there is a small set screw holding it in
    May 7, 2015 at 8:53 PM - jbigler1986: let me grab a pic
May 7, 2015 at 8:54 PM - Mike Glass: No it is actually printed on a color printer
May 7, 2015 at 8:54 PM - bamhm182: It hasn't been set to public, TechSupportGo
    May 7, 2015 at 8:55 PM - bamhm182: I imagine that cost a lot
    May 7, 2015 at 8:55 PM - bamhm182: I found it, jb. Thanks
May 7, 2015 at 8:55 PM - Mike Glass: THey are actually for a guy at work.
    May 7, 2015 at 8:56 PM - jbigler1986: got a backup hex and v6 now.
May 7, 2015 at 8:56 PM - Mike Glass: think $20 a piece or so. 6 hours of printing and a $2 flashlight
May 7, 2015 at 8:56 PM - TechSupportGo: my masterpiece! it might not look like it at first but for a professional gamer its a blessing. this goes on an xbox one controller and is designed to increase range of motion with a thinner shaft. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8FWeUGKaHaxeUFXaXJ5Y1FCMFk/view?usp=sharing
    May 7, 2015 at 8:56 PM - jbigler1986: not bad
May 7, 2015 at 8:56 PM - bamhm182: I don't know who thought the silacone boot would be a good idea for the hex. :/
    May 7, 2015 at 8:57 PM - jbigler1986: looks good
May 7, 2015 at 8:57 PM - bamhm182: So you should be able to move faster and stuff?
May 7, 2015 at 8:57 PM - Mike Glass: bionic fingers?
May 7, 2015 at 8:58 PM - Mike Glass: I think they have a patent
May 7, 2015 at 8:59 PM - TechSupportGo: well, with a taller shaft you can aim more precise. I keep my sensitivity set to insane so when I aim its harder to hone in on my target. not now :)
May 7, 2015 at 8:59 PM - Mike Glass: print stuff from opensource and you can actually sell it
May 7, 2015 at 8:59 PM - Mike Glass: JB this has a lot of retractions, holy hell
May 7, 2015 at 9:00 PM - jbigler1986: that it does. the 2nd half of it anyways

May 7, 2015 9:01 PM - TechSupportGo: its just something I been working on for personal use and it also gave me a chance to try out my .25mm nozzle
May 7, 2015 9:01 PM - jbigler1986: fuck it's late. oh well. waiting until this test is done
    May 7, 2015 9:01 PM - jbigler1986: i should do .25 nozzle at .05 layer height on something
May 7, 2015 9:02 PM - Mike Glass: Doing the bridge test?
May 7, 2015 9:02 PM - jbigler1986: yeah. 2 parts with different settings. seeing if slower or faster is better
May 7, 2015 9:03 PM - Mike Glass: depends on the filament I believe
May 7, 2015 9:03 PM - TechSupportGo: I see MG's image under the facebook links below
May 7, 2015 9:04 PM - Mike Glass: my bobcat
    May 7, 2015 9:04 PM - TechSupportGo: yep
May 7, 2015 9:04 PM - Mike Glass: I have the same icon on both
May 7, 2015 9:04 PM - Mike Glass: cause the bobcat cnc is the coolest thing ive made..haha
May 7, 2015 9:05 PM - jbigler1986: no shroud looks better than with shroud
    May 7, 2015 9:06 PM - jbigler1986: when will the fun begin.
    May 7, 2015 9:07 PM - Mike Glass: yea I agree
    May 7, 2015 9:07 PM - jbigler1986: parts wise that is
    May 7, 2015 9:08 PM - Mike Glass: really?
    May 7, 2015 9:08 PM - jbigler1986: yep. i can tell a difference on these tiny parts
May 7, 2015 9:08 PM - Mike Glass: I think the dual fans we had before worked the best
May 7, 2015 9:08 PM - jbigler1986: i think our shrouds are just to constricted
    May 7, 2015 9:10 PM - jbigler1986: fun is about to start
    May 7, 2015 9:11 PM - jbigler1986: filling in top layer now
    May 7, 2015 9:12 PM - jbigler1986: nooooo
    May 7, 2015 9:12 PM - jbigler1986: damnit
    May 7, 2015 9:12 PM - jbigler1986: gotta wait now. ugh
    May 7, 2015 9:13 PM - Mike Glass: lol
May 7, 2015 9:14 PM - jbigler1986: gonna speed up these bottom parts on this one though
May 7, 2015 9:16 PM - bamhm182: Where's a good place to get spare nozzles for the hex?
    May 7, 2015 9:16 PM - jbigler1986: use e3d v6 nozzles on it
May 7, 2015 9:17 PM - jbigler1986: or wait. do i have that backwards again
May 7, 2015 9:17 PM - Mike Glass: nope that correct
    May 7, 2015 9:18 PM - Mike Glass: I use e3d nozzles on mine
May 7, 2015 9:18 PM - Mike Glass: Printed Solid has nozzles
    May 7, 2015 9:18 PM - bamhm182: Is $10 an alright price for a nozzle?
May 7, 2015 9:19 PM - Mike Glass: about right unless you buy a 5 pk
May 7, 2015 9:19 PM - jbigler1986: he might give you a better deal if you buy more than 1
    May 7, 2015 9:19 PM - Mike Glass: I found 4 for $12
May 7, 2015 9:20 PM - Mike Glass: but they have to be turned, milled down so the shafts are longer
May 7, 2015 9:20 PM - Mike Glass: I just used a drill and a dremel worked like a charm
May 7, 2015 9:24 PM - jbigler1986: ok. filling in top layers on this one now
    May 7, 2015 9:26 PM - jbigler1986: not bad
    May 7, 2015 9:29 PM - jbigler1986: faster was better
May 7, 2015 9:31 PM - bamhm182: So are you sure the heat break comes out in the hex? I never had the grub screw in its hole and it never came out
May 7, 2015 9:31 PM - bamhm182: I thought that its grub screw was a spare and never looked into it further until just now
    May 7, 2015 9:32 PM - jbigler1986: i have been told it does. haven't tested it myself
May 7, 2015 9:32 PM - Mike Glass: mine came loose and thats where they commonly leak from
May 7, 2015 9:33 PM - jbigler1986: he is talking about it coming out of the heatsink
    May 7, 2015 9:33 PM - bamhm182: Pop!
May 7, 2015 9:34 PM - Mike Glass: there is a hex screw that holds it but I was unable to remove mine
May 7, 2015 9:34 PM - Mike Glass: the screw was always loose
May 7, 2015 9:38 PM - jbigler1986: well overnight print is started. see ya guys tomorrow. MG post your benchy
May 7, 2015 9:39 PM - Mike Glass: ok night
    May 7, 2015 9:41 PM - bamhm182: 'night
    May 7, 2015 9:41 PM - bamhm182: I wish the GoPro was more useful...
May 7, 2015 9:41 PM - bamhm182: I bought one a while back and it just seems "alright"
    May 7, 2015 9:41 PM - bamhm182: Overpriced, IMO
May 7, 2015 9:42 PM - bamhm182: I wish it could output a video stream to a computer, so I could stream like jb does
May 7, 2015 9:42 PM - Mike Glass: just over hyped
    May 7, 2015 9:42 PM - bamhm182: Yeah
May 7, 2015 9:43 PM - bamhm182: By the way, you said you print without the cover, right?
    May 7, 2015 9:44 PM - Mike Glass: http://vaughnlive.tv/coolreactions
May 7, 2015 9:44 PM - Mike Glass: the silicone cover? no
May 7, 2015 9:44 PM - Mike Glass: it holds my thermistor
May 7, 2015 9:45 PM - bamhm182: No, the top part of the printer
May 7, 2015 9:45 PM - bamhm182: Man, everyone has streaming set up, haha
    May 7, 2015 9:45 PM - bamhm182: Looks good
May 7, 2015 9:46 PM - Mike Glass: yea not sure about this filament first time I have used it, it says the temp should be 230 im at 195
    May 7, 2015 9:47 PM - bamhm182: Weird
    May 7, 2015 9:47 PM - bamhm182: Looks like it's melting fine to me
May 7, 2015 9:48 PM - Mike Glass: looks a little dry, this stuff if super shiny comming off the roll.
    May 7, 2015 9:50 PM - bamhm182: what is it?
May 7, 2015 9:51 PM - Mike Glass: Solutech- real black, I have the silver and really liked it.
    May 7, 2015 9:53 PM - bamhm182: Is the silver stuff shinier?
May 7, 2015 9:53 PM - bamhm182: Like after it has been printed, compared to this boat
May 7, 2015 9:54 PM - Mike Glass: have you seen my lightsaber

May 7, 2015 9:58 PM - Mike Glass: not real great but it fairly shiny

    May 7, 2015 10:01 PM - bamhm182: I also printed off a Batman Budha
May 7, 2015 10:01 PM - bamhm182: Also, the filament looks pretty good
May 7, 2015 10:02 PM - bamhm182: And that light saber looks awesome
May 7, 2015 10:02 PM - bamhm182: Boat looks like it turned out well
May 7, 2015 10:02 PM - Mike Glass: for a stock robo. yea

May 7, 2015 10:03 PM - bamhm182: That reminds me, I have to print one of these sooner or later
May 7, 2015 10:03 PM - Mike Glass: I have that on my list
May 7, 2015 10:03 PM - bamhm182: I was thinking it would be awesome to rig up a button to a CO2 cartridge so when you press it, it shoots out the light saber too
May 7, 2015 10:04 PM - bamhm182: So what's Cool Reactions? Do you have a business or something?
May 7, 2015 10:05 PM - Mike Glass: Yea back in the day I did car audio, custom installs, built speakers all that jazz
    May 7, 2015 10:06 PM - bamhm182: Nice
    May 7, 2015 10:07 PM - bamhm182: I suck at installing stereos, haha
May 7, 2015 10:08 PM - Mike Glass: I do remote starts once an awhile still, but mostly just do furniture, cabinets, and now my signs are getting popular
May 7, 2015 10:08 PM - Mike Glass: now I can do plexilglass on the cnc thats been fun.
    May 7, 2015 10:13 PM - bamhm182: Yeah, that's one of the main reasons I want a CNC
May 7, 2015 10:13 PM - bamhm182: I think it would be cool to rig up a plexiglass sign with some LEDs
May 7, 2015 10:14 PM - bamhm182: Alright, so now my hot end is probably the cleanest it has been since it was made, it's all back together and tightened while hot, it should be good to go
    May 7, 2015 10:14 PM - Mike Glass: sweet
    May 7, 2015 10:19 PM - bamhm182: Any idea what jb's printing?
    May 7, 2015 10:21 PM - Mike Glass: nope
May 7, 2015 10:26 PM - Mike Glass: well my print is set for the night, see ya later
    May 7, 2015 10:47 PM - bamhm182: Later

    May 8, 2015 3:54 AM - jbigler1986: morning
    May 8, 2015 4:15 AM - Bill Monroe: jb
May 8, 2015 4:23 AM - daniel871: E3D hotend and LCD controller upgrades completed last night. Now to start experimenting with prints again this evening. :)
    May 8, 2015 4:24 AM - Bill Monroe: nice
May 8, 2015 4:25 AM - daniel871: I'm a little more excited over now having a printer that can run independent of the PC connection.
May 8, 2015 4:25 AM - daniel871: Slicer software just used to generate programs and save to the card, it's more like how we do CNC milling machines at work now.
May 8, 2015 4:28 AM - Bill Monroe: i move my files to my CNCs wireless
May 8, 2015 4:29 AM - jbigler1986: I am not happy with my robo right now
May 8, 2015 4:29 AM - Bill Monroe: oh no! jb's Robo is sick
May 8, 2015 4:30 AM - Bill Monroe: i'm gunna print a get well card
    May 8, 2015 4:31 AM - Bill Monroe: what's wrong jb?
    May 8, 2015 4:31 AM - jbigler1986: [IMG]
    May 8, 2015 4:31 AM - jbigler1986: Corners look like crap
    May 8, 2015 4:32 AM - Bill Monroe: could use a mani too :)
May 8, 2015 4:32 AM - Bill Monroe: all corners?
May 8, 2015 4:34 AM - jbigler1986: Esteps were off. Had to change it from 723 to 812
    May 8, 2015 4:34 AM - jbigler1986: Yeah. All corners
May 8, 2015 4:34 AM - Bill Monroe: dmn esteps
May 8, 2015 4:34 AM - Bill Monroe: good thing they're just a passing fad
May 8, 2015 4:35 AM - jbigler1986: May just need to clean the nozzle
May 8, 2015 4:35 AM - Bill Monroe: maybe the filament?
    May 8, 2015 4:35 AM - jbigler1986: That's the next step
May 8, 2015 4:36 AM - jbigler1986: Shaxon and hatchbox corners look like that
May 8, 2015 4:38 AM - jbigler1986: I'm going to guess a tiny clog so it's not extruding right. Hence why I needed to change esteps
May 8, 2015 4:41 AM - Bill Monroe: how do yo clean your nozzles?
May 8, 2015 4:44 AM - jbigler1986: Acetone soak then use a wire brush and guitar string. What's a good way?
May 8, 2015 4:46 AM - Bill Monroe: dunno actually, i've never cleaned mine
May 8, 2015 4:54 AM - jbigler1986: maybe i will crank up the temp way up try and burn it off
May 8, 2015 4:55 AM - Stephen Capistron: Printed could tell you if there is anything to the cleaning filament
May 8, 2015 4:56 AM - jbigler1986: good call. i will shoot him an email
May 8, 2015 4:59 AM - jbigler1986: clogged nozzle makes sense. we call see though.
May 8, 2015 5:00 AM - jbigler1986: printing a few test prints right now. will see how they turn out
    May 8, 2015 5:00 AM - jbigler1986: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jbigler1986
May 8, 2015 5:00 AM - Stephen Capistron: My benchy turned out like poop
    May 8, 2015 5:01 AM - jbigler1986: yeah that thing is tough
May 8, 2015 5:02 AM - jbigler1986: i have printed 3. 1st one x shift. 2nd looked pretty good. then the one overnight was meigh
May 8, 2015 5:04 AM - Stephen Capistron: got little random spots of over extrusion and the front of the hull couldn't get enough cooling and is all shrunk / melted
May 8, 2015 5:05 AM - Stephen Capistron: that's what i get for printing multiple objects
    May 8, 2015 5:06 AM - jbigler1986: got a picture?
May 8, 2015 5:08 AM - Stephen Capistron: just got to figure out this whole from phone > imgur bit
May 8, 2015 5:15 AM - jbigler1986: wish my camera quality was better right now
    May 8, 2015 5:17 AM - Stephen Capistron: [IMG]
May 8, 2015 5:17 AM - jbigler1986: first test looks fine. can't really tell though
    May 8, 2015 5:18 AM - jbigler1986: [IMG]
May 8, 2015 5:19 AM - jbigler1986: one on the left was my first one with loose x belt. tighten that and printed the one on the right
May 8, 2015 5:31 AM - JeffTheMess: good morning roboneers how are we doing
May 8, 2015 5:32 AM - jbigler1986: not to bad. it is friday. you?
    May 8, 2015 5:33 AM - JeffTheMess: can't complain it is friday
May 8, 2015 5:34 AM - JeffTheMess: jb, you doing the print one at a time?
    May 8, 2015 5:34 AM - jbigler1986: yeah
May 8, 2015 5:36 AM - jbigler1986: should have given it more clearance so it would have finished it first
May 8, 2015 5:37 AM - JeffTheMess: yeah, thats true
May 8, 2015 5:48 AM - Stephen Capistron: this is pretty wild

May 8, 2015 5:49 AM - JeffTheMess: you always find the coolest but long articles lol
May 8, 2015 5:49 AM - daniel871: TL;DR = Anything you ever post on the Internet is out there forever and somebody will find a way to make money off of it.
May 8, 2015 5:50 AM - daniel871: And/or masturbate to it, because people are weird and Rule #34 exists.
May 8, 2015 5:50 AM - Stephen Capistron: Thats because my news site go to is the csmonitor
    May 8, 2015 5:50 AM - jbigler1986: yep. that's why i don't stress about it. it's gonna happen at some point
    May 8, 2015 5:51 AM - jbigler1986: dark web it crazy
May 8, 2015 5:51 AM - jbigler1986: ever been on silk road? well can't anymore
    May 8, 2015 5:51 AM - JeffTheMess: they made silk road 2.0 didn't they?
May 8, 2015 5:52 AM - JeffTheMess: they crazy stuff, but scary aswell,,,people openly talk about ANYTHING
May 8, 2015 5:52 AM - Stephen Capistron: which actually does not put a religious slant on the news. They do a good job separating that voice to the editorials.
May 8, 2015 5:52 AM - jbigler1986: they did but i think it got shut down too
May 8, 2015 5:55 AM - Stephen Capistron: good reason to stay out of Arkansas > http://www.csmonitor.com/Environment/2015/0506/Can-Arkansas-solve-its-piranha-problem-video
    May 8, 2015 5:56 AM - JeffTheMess: piranha 3D: Arkansas
May 8, 2015 5:57 AM - Stephen Capistron: you mean they are going to remake Lake Placid
May 8, 2015 5:59 AM - Bill Monroe: the First Piranha left Arkansas when the Clintons went to DC
    May 8, 2015 6:01 AM - JeffTheMess: HIYO!

May 8, 2015 6:11 AM - daniel871: Hey, quick printing question, has anybody played around with Protopasta's Stainless Steel filament?
May 8, 2015 6:12 AM - daniel871: I've got some of that and ColorFabb's Bronzefill to play with as well once I find some parts that I want to burn that filament up with.
    May 8, 2015 6:12 AM - jbigler1986: nope
    May 8, 2015 6:12 AM - Stephen Capistron: nope
May 8, 2015 6:14 AM - daniel871: Theoretically supposed to print with the same settings as PLA, we'll see how that goes on some calibration cubes/circles.
May 8, 2015 6:14 AM - Bill Monroe: bronze fill is awesome
    May 8, 2015 6:16 AM - JeffTheMess: pretty cool...[IMG]
May 8, 2015 6:16 AM - jbigler1986: i saw that this morning on the news. pretty awesome
    May 8, 2015 6:17 AM - daniel871: Saw that on FB yesterday.
May 8, 2015 6:17 AM - Stephen Capistron: Simpsons did it
May 8, 2015 6:19 AM - JeffTheMess: yeah, my wife showed me this from her fb
    May 8, 2015 6:20 AM - Stephen Capistron:
May 8, 2015 6:30 AM - Bill Monroe: the guy who invented Shaxon filament should get the Nobel Peace Prize

May 8, 2015 6:46 AM - bamhm182: Man, so I had the idea to sleeve the cables in my printer. What a pain! >_<
May 8, 2015 6:48 AM - bamhm182: On the plus side though, it's done, the printer looks good, and everything seems to be working. Didn't actually do a print because I meant to go to sleep a few hours ago. Will actually test it tomorrow
May 8, 2015 6:52 AM - Stephen Capistron: the stock wiring job leaves a lot to be desired
May 8, 2015 7:02 AM - bamhm182: Yeah. It is at least a little bit more organized now though. Plus the sleeving I got looks a lot fancier than their plastic cable holders.
    May 8, 2015 7:25 AM - Mike Kelly: morning

    May 8, 2015 7:42 AM - Mike Glass: that was at 40mm/s
May 8, 2015 7:42 AM - Mike Kelly: i tried the block at 40mm/s last night, extruder couldn't keep up
May 8, 2015 7:42 AM - Mike Kelly: which is just... unacceptable
May 8, 2015 7:43 AM - Mike Glass: what are you using for a nozzle?
    May 8, 2015 7:43 AM - Mike Kelly: cyclops
    May 8, 2015 7:43 AM - Mike Glass: .4?
    May 8, 2015 7:43 AM - Mike Kelly: right
May 8, 2015 7:44 AM - Mike Glass: why would the cyclops be any different?
May 8, 2015 7:44 AM - Mike Kelly: because of the filament channel
May 8, 2015 7:44 AM - Stephen Capistron: the angle the filament has to flow through
May 8, 2015 7:45 AM - Mike Glass: its angled?
May 8, 2015 7:45 AM - Stephen Capistron: Can you go hotter?
    May 8, 2015 7:45 AM - Mike Kelly: it's horizontal
    May 8, 2015 7:45 AM - Mike Kelly: i'm running at 250 already
May 8, 2015 7:45 AM - Stephen Capistron: that is pretty hot
May 8, 2015 7:45 AM - Mike Glass: thats alot of surface to heat
May 8, 2015 7:46 AM - Mike Glass: that will keep you shop warm..lol
May 8, 2015 7:46 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah it does
May 8, 2015 7:46 AM - Mike Kelly: just to get these blocks done i'm gonna use the rep2x
    May 8, 2015 7:47 AM - Mike Glass: noooo
    May 8, 2015 7:47 AM - Mike Kelly: i know right
May 8, 2015 7:47 AM - Mike Kelly: i just can't deal with struggling on my printer
May 8, 2015 7:48 AM - Stephen Capistron: even though i have little confidence in that diamond hot end, having the flow paths at an angle instead of horizontal is a big plus
    May 8, 2015 7:48 AM - Mike Kelly: agreed
May 8, 2015 7:48 AM - Mike Kelly: makes more sense from a flow perspective
May 8, 2015 7:49 AM - Mike Glass: um you have 2 others:)
May 8, 2015 7:49 AM - Stephen Capistron: E3d could have put their flow paths at an angle, but just drilling and reaming straight across is super easy & cheap
May 8, 2015 7:49 AM - Mike Kelly: only 2 can do dual colors
May 8, 2015 7:49 AM - Mike Glass: oh yeah
May 8, 2015 7:51 AM - Stephen Capistron: Get toy to make you a custom cyclops heat block
    May 8, 2015 7:51 AM - Mike Kelly: lol
May 8, 2015 7:51 AM - jbigler1986: the back torture test it looking good. maybe the nozzle cleaned itself or who the heck knows
May 8, 2015 7:51 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah it does
May 8, 2015 7:51 AM - Mike Kelly: jb fyi, higher speeds are better for bridging
    May 8, 2015 7:51 AM - Mike Glass: [IMG]
May 8, 2015 7:52 AM - Mike Kelly: nice mike
May 8, 2015 7:52 AM - Mike Kelly: and by color printer did you mean like an inkjet
May 8, 2015 7:52 AM - Mike Glass: haha yes
May 8, 2015 7:52 AM - Mike Kelly: ok yeah
May 8, 2015 7:52 AM - jbigler1986: i have seen some people that ran bridging really slow. i was just curious
May 8, 2015 7:53 AM - Mike Kelly: fast is what i've always heard
May 8, 2015 7:53 AM - Mike Glass: I have a color laser too, I might use it on the second one.
    May 8, 2015 7:53 AM - Mike Kelly: nice
    May 8, 2015 7:53 AM - JeffTheMess: jb, dream head https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/nea-3d-stylish-upgradeable-3d-printing-for-all
    May 8, 2015 7:54 AM - Mike Glass: is not a $200 gimmick...lol
    May 8, 2015 7:56 AM - jbigler1986: i actually like that
May 8, 2015 7:56 AM - Mike Glass: looks nice.. bbl meeting time.
May 8, 2015 7:56 AM - Mike Kelly: that does look nice
May 8, 2015 7:59 AM - JeffTheMess: i knew jb would like that
    May 8, 2015 8:13 AM - Mike Kelly: i hope ziggy didn't disappear
    May 8, 2015 8:16 AM - Bill Monroe: http://ustre.am/1o197
May 8, 2015 8:25 AM - JasonSolves: So, I know you all will make fun of me, but I LOVE the raft
May 8, 2015 8:26 AM - Mike Kelly: why would we make fun of that
May 8, 2015 8:26 AM - JasonSolves: just seems like if I could adjust my printer better, I would not need it
May 8, 2015 8:26 AM - JeffTheMess: no fans on bill?
May 8, 2015 8:26 AM - Mike Kelly: also true
May 8, 2015 8:26 AM - Mike Kelly: no fan on first layer
May 8, 2015 8:27 AM - JasonSolves: but with the raft my prints work 100% of the time
May 8, 2015 8:27 AM - Mike Kelly: nothing is better for abs than a hips raft
May 8, 2015 8:27 AM - JasonSolves: so even though it wastes time and filament, better than failed prints
May 8, 2015 8:27 AM - Bill Monroe: First layer.. fans kick on next payer
May 8, 2015 8:28 AM - jbigler1986: i say whatever gives you the results you are looking for then go for it
May 8, 2015 8:28 AM - Mike Kelly: i do make fun of the rep gen 5's for requiring a raft
May 8, 2015 8:29 AM - JasonSolves: thanks for that, I still am having some "warping" where the bottom layer is not flat
    May 8, 2015 8:29 AM - Mike Kelly: PLA?
    May 8, 2015 8:29 AM - JasonSolves: yes
    May 8, 2015 8:29 AM - Mike Kelly: that's strange
    May 8, 2015 8:29 AM - Mike Kelly: especially with a raft
    May 8, 2015 8:29 AM - JasonSolves: yeah, a large base print
    May 8, 2015 8:29 AM - jbigler1986: that is odd
    May 8, 2015 8:30 AM - JasonSolves: and 2 corners are perfect
    May 8, 2015 8:30 AM - JasonSolves: and 1 is much thinner
    May 8, 2015 8:30 AM - JasonSolves: 1 is a little bit
May 8, 2015 8:31 AM - JasonSolves: I was thinking that the heated bed is not 100% flat and maybe not 100% even heat
May 8, 2015 8:32 AM - JasonSolves: if it has a super hot spot maybe it is shrinking it
May 8, 2015 8:32 AM - Mike Kelly: are you sure you're on the heater?
    May 8, 2015 8:32 AM - Mike Kelly: it's only 8.2x8.2"
May 8, 2015 8:32 AM - JasonSolves: always seems like the front right edge
May 8, 2015 8:32 AM - JasonSolves: the print is at the center and 7in wide and 3 deep
May 8, 2015 8:33 AM - JasonSolves: so should be on the heated bed
May 8, 2015 8:34 AM - jbigler1986: have you checked if you bed is level?
May 8, 2015 8:34 AM - Mike Kelly: did you try rotating the model
    May 8, 2015 8:34 AM - jbigler1986: i had to shim a few corners of mine
    May 8, 2015 8:34 AM - JasonSolves: yeah I have tried that
May 8, 2015 8:34 AM - JasonSolves: It seems level with my bubble level
    May 8, 2015 8:35 AM - Mike Kelly: that's not how you level :)
    May 8, 2015 8:35 AM - jbigler1986: get a dial indicator
    May 8, 2015 8:35 AM - JasonSolves: yeah, I understand that
May 8, 2015 8:35 AM - Mike Kelly: squaring is a better term
May 8, 2015 8:35 AM - JasonSolves: JB I have one, but never made the bracket for the printer
May 8, 2015 8:35 AM - Stephen Capistron: level = x carriage is the same distance from the bed across the whole bed
    May 8, 2015 8:36 AM - jbigler1986: did you paper level?
May 8, 2015 8:36 AM - JasonSolves: Right Stephen, I think maybe that is called "True" or "Square"
May 8, 2015 8:36 AM - JasonSolves: yes I did the paper level
May 8, 2015 8:36 AM - Mike Kelly: tramming is a good word for it as well
    May 8, 2015 8:37 AM - JasonSolves: http://www.cnccookbook.com/CCMillTramming.html
    May 8, 2015 8:37 AM - JasonSolves: I like it
May 8, 2015 8:37 AM - jbigler1986: i would get a dial indicator and level the bed from front to back on the left and right side. then paper level the x
May 8, 2015 8:39 AM - JasonSolves: I have the Dial indicator, but I need to "mount" it on the carrage
    May 8, 2015 8:39 AM - JasonSolves: right?

    May 8, 2015 8:50 AM - Stephen Capistron: interesting > http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:565616
May 8, 2015 8:50 AM - JeffTheMess: that printer is so clean, looks like it was never used
    May 8, 2015 8:55 AM - jbigler1986: @Jason that is the one i use
    May 8, 2015 8:55 AM - JasonSolves: cool, I will try that
May 8, 2015 8:55 AM - JasonSolves: Assuming if the center is lower than the sides, there is not much I can do
May 8, 2015 8:56 AM - JasonSolves: But I can use the Z rods to get as close as possible
May 8, 2015 8:58 AM - Mike Kelly: oh joy somehow we ended up with 6" trunnions for our 8" flange
    May 8, 2015 8:59 AM - Stephen Capistron: caulking
May 8, 2015 8:59 AM - Stephen Capistron: lots and lots of caulking
May 8, 2015 9:00 AM - Mike Kelly: really hope it was their fault
May 8, 2015 9:01 AM - Stephen Capistron: print check time
    May 8, 2015 9:02 AM - Mike Kelly: ugh
May 8, 2015 9:02 AM - Mike Kelly: totally sucks though ugh
    May 8, 2015 9:03 AM - jbigler1986: that does suck
May 8, 2015 9:04 AM - daniel871: Not sure how good the filament is, but there's a sale on Inventables where some rolls are $5. https://www.inventables.com/categories/materials/3d-printer-filament
May 8, 2015 9:04 AM - jbigler1986: Mike what is a good way to clean nozzles
May 8, 2015 9:06 AM - Mike Kelly: i soak it in acetone then use a brass bristle or nylon bristle to push it out
    May 8, 2015 9:06 AM - Mike Kelly: sometimes i'll use a High E guitar string
May 8, 2015 9:06 AM - daniel871: Oh wait, all of the listings I've clicked say "sign up to be alerted when this is available again". So either they sold out in a hurry or the listings are crap.
May 8, 2015 9:07 AM - Mike Kelly: well if you find one lemme know
    May 8, 2015 9:08 AM - jbigler1986: same
May 8, 2015 9:10 AM - jbigler1986: need to recalibrate extruder after i clean the nozzle. ugh
    May 8, 2015 9:11 AM - Bill Monroe: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/bills-lab
May 8, 2015 9:12 AM - jbigler1986: what happened to the other one
May 8, 2015 9:30 AM - Bill Monroe: dunno.. it just collapsed and closed..
    May 8, 2015 9:32 AM - jbigler1986: meant that part
May 8, 2015 9:34 AM - Bill Monroe: uhh which one was I doing?
May 8, 2015 9:35 AM - Bill Monroe: I did a fan mount earlier.. was that the one?
May 8, 2015 9:36 AM - jbigler1986: no. that gear part. i thought you printed that last week
May 8, 2015 9:36 AM - Bill Monroe: ah, that was actually a different one... black
May 8, 2015 9:37 AM - Bill Monroe: you've seen those intricate gear mechanisms that hang on the wall and run forever using weights and pendulums?
May 8, 2015 9:38 AM - Bill Monroe: I used to make those out of exotic woods using hand tools.. took forever but looked cool and made great gifts
    May 8, 2015 9:38 AM - jbigler1986: yeah
May 8, 2015 9:38 AM - Bill Monroe: thought I try one using printed plastic
May 8, 2015 9:39 AM - Bill Monroe: not my first priority but I changed the firwmare on the machine this morning and need to print something so... there ya go :)
    May 8, 2015 9:50 AM - jbigler1986: what did ya change
May 8, 2015 10:00 AM - Bill Monroe: added stuff.. 2 more stepper axis primarily, data outputs, time to completion along with a differenl algorithm for calculating progress, etc..
May 8, 2015 10:01 AM - jbigler1986: calculating progress? on the lcd screen?
May 8, 2015 10:02 AM - Bill Monroe: ya, but I've not decided how to layout the screen yet, it's just for the futre
May 8, 2015 10:02 AM - Bill Monroe: I also reverted back to a single nozzle but that's no big deal
May 8, 2015 10:02 AM - jbigler1986: yeah the screen layout needs changed that's for sure
    May 8, 2015 10:03 AM - jbigler1986: oh. so dual_extruder = false
May 8, 2015 10:03 AM - Bill Monroe: ya, change the direction for the extruder (at least in my case).. motherboard =33
May 8, 2015 10:04 AM - Bill Monroe: change the 33 config so fans are on pin 6
    May 8, 2015 10:04 AM - Bill Monroe: i think that's all
May 8, 2015 10:04 AM - jbigler1986: torture tests complete. the one in the back looks good from what i can see
May 8, 2015 10:05 AM - jbigler1986: hard to tell for sure until i get home though
    May 8, 2015 10:05 AM - Bill Monroe: link?
    May 8, 2015 10:05 AM - jbigler1986: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jbigler1986
    May 8, 2015 10:07 AM - jbigler1986: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:64549
    May 8, 2015 10:07 AM - jbigler1986: that's the back one
May 8, 2015 10:07 AM - Bill Monroe: ohya, I remember that part
May 8, 2015 10:07 AM - Bill Monroe: I've never tried any bridging
May 8, 2015 10:08 AM - jbigler1986: i test some last night. was very surprised actually
May 8, 2015 10:08 AM - Mike Kelly: i think this kinda proves my theory that ducting on a axial fan just doesn't make sense
May 8, 2015 10:09 AM - jbigler1986: yeah prints look better without the fan
    May 8, 2015 10:09 AM - jbigler1986: i mean duct
May 8, 2015 10:10 AM - jbigler1986: did you see the bridge test last night without the duct?
    May 8, 2015 10:11 AM - Mike Kelly: don't believe so
May 8, 2015 10:12 AM - jbigler1986: didn't take a pic crap. not one string was hanging below
May 8, 2015 10:13 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah that was basically my theory
May 8, 2015 10:13 AM - jbigler1986: like 2 lines weren't completely attached side by side but they weren't hanging below or sagging at all
    May 8, 2015 10:14 AM - Mike Kelly: that's sweet
    May 8, 2015 10:14 AM - jbigler1986: i expected it be a fail
May 8, 2015 10:15 AM - Mike Kelly: i want to do a comparison between ductless axial fans and a ducted radial fan
May 8, 2015 10:15 AM - Mike Kelly: see which one has the better bridging
    May 8, 2015 10:16 AM - jbigler1986: that's a good idea
May 8, 2015 10:17 AM - jbigler1986: i just hope it cleaned itself and the edges/corners look good again
    May 8, 2015 10:17 AM - Mike Kelly: heh
May 8, 2015 10:21 AM - jbigler1986: the higher up it printed the better it looks. we shall see when i get home
    May 8, 2015 10:32 AM - jbigler1986: how are the blocks?
May 8, 2015 10:36 AM - Mike Kelly: had some issues with the one i printed last night
May 8, 2015 10:36 AM - Mike Kelly: need to finish setting up the rep2x
May 8, 2015 10:36 AM - Mike Kelly: i'm gonna try hairspray on kapton
    May 8, 2015 10:37 AM - Mike Glass: medel max ? https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/rapide-lite-200xl-400mm-desktop-plus-3d-printer/x/10754276
May 8, 2015 10:40 AM - Mike Kelly: there is no way that's rigid
May 8, 2015 10:42 AM - Mike Glass: thats what i was thinking
May 8, 2015 10:43 AM - BryZad: anyone have a link to the stock z stop switches
May 8, 2015 10:43 AM - Mike Glass: Mine is linked with a wire
May 8, 2015 10:43 AM - Mike Glass: I just got some from amazon today:)
May 8, 2015 10:44 AM - BryZad: what did you get was trying to find ones
    May 8, 2015 10:44 AM - Mike Glass: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E0JOP76/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
May 8, 2015 10:44 AM - Mike Kelly: lemme look at my purchase history
May 8, 2015 10:45 AM - Mike Glass: most of them are 1amp these are 5amp
    May 8, 2015 10:45 AM - BryZad: thanks mike
May 8, 2015 10:45 AM - Mike Glass: think thats what the stock robo uses
May 8, 2015 10:46 AM - Stephen Capistron: looks like they are using supported shafts in the z direction which is different
May 8, 2015 10:46 AM - Mike Glass: I might have to open my own store, with all the parts I have now..lol
May 8, 2015 10:46 AM - BryZad: I bought some from RoBo havent sent out yet
    May 8, 2015 10:46 AM - Mike Kelly: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E0JOP76/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    May 8, 2015 10:47 AM - Mike Glass: hahaha
    May 8, 2015 10:48 AM - Mike Glass: man I paid $4.98
    May 8, 2015 10:48 AM - Mike Kelly: i paid 6.11 >=(
    May 8, 2015 11:03 AM - Mike Kelly: ugh

May 8, 2015 11:09 AM - Mike Kelly: whats on the dockett
May 8, 2015 11:11 AM - jbigler1986: getting stuff for my kids bday party tomorrow, soccer practice, buy mothers day presents probably a few other things my wife decides to throw at me
May 8, 2015 11:11 AM - jbigler1986: then at the end of it all fix my crappy prints that decided to come out of nowhere
May 8, 2015 11:12 AM - Mike Kelly: that does sound annoying
    May 8, 2015 11:13 AM - Stephen Capistron: hey
    May 8, 2015 11:13 AM - Mike Kelly: yo
May 8, 2015 11:13 AM - Stephen Capistron: today does not suck, it is FFF
    May 8, 2015 11:13 AM - jbigler1986: yep. busy weekend
May 8, 2015 11:13 AM - Mike Kelly: just noticed the lulzbot job is gone
    May 8, 2015 11:13 AM - Stephen Capistron: Finally F.... Friday
    May 8, 2015 11:13 AM - jbigler1986: saving it for you

May 8, 2015 11:29 AM - Mike Kelly: i still don't understand how people can use openscad
May 8, 2015 11:31 AM - daniel871: People will endure just about anything if it's free.
May 8, 2015 11:31 AM - Mike Kelly: fair point
May 8, 2015 11:32 AM - daniel871: See the existence of timeshares in exchange for tickets to disney world.
May 8, 2015 11:32 AM - JeffTheMess: ("hey i can make a cad file with make") its what they say
    May 8, 2015 11:32 AM - JeffTheMess: math*
    May 8, 2015 11:32 AM - daniel871: DraftSight seems a little better, if a bit of a memory/resource hog.
    May 8, 2015 11:33 AM - daniel871: Except for the 3D bits.
May 8, 2015 11:33 AM - daniel871: Shame about how expensive Solidworks is.
May 8, 2015 11:34 AM - Mike Kelly: i really hope onshape takes off and puts some pressure on dds to reform their business model
May 8, 2015 11:34 AM - Mike Kelly: their software is freaking stupid expensive
May 8, 2015 11:34 AM - Stephen Capistron: ugh, I remember "drawing" in ANSYS by writing code in notepad
May 8, 2015 11:38 AM - daniel871: Onshape ought to, they got $65million to develop it with.
May 8, 2015 11:39 AM - jbigler1986: i tried to use openscad. what a nightmare. might as well use a pc through the command line
May 8, 2015 11:42 AM - Stephen Capistron: 65MM is nothing to 3DS. The only thing keeping them from just buying onshape would be a monopoly law suit and the "goodwill" of the onshape board
    May 8, 2015 11:44 AM - daniel871: Ugh, just saw it was web-based.
May 8, 2015 11:45 AM - Stephen Capistron: i've been using onshape a bit. It being web based doesn't seem to slow it down much
May 8, 2015 11:45 AM - Stephen Capistron: or at all
May 8, 2015 11:45 AM - Mike Kelly: only issue is it doesn't work with 3d mouses
May 8, 2015 11:45 AM - Mike Glass: If you could work for any 3d company, what would it be?
May 8, 2015 11:46 AM - Stephen Capistron: i've never even used a 3d mouse. It seems so weird, left handed and all
May 8, 2015 11:46 AM - Mike Kelly: what do you mean by 3d
    May 8, 2015 11:46 AM - Mike Glass: 3 dimential
May 8, 2015 11:46 AM - Mike Kelly: like cad or printing
May 8, 2015 11:46 AM - Mike Kelly: i don't use it all the time stephen but it comes in handy
May 8, 2015 11:46 AM - Mike Glass: any realy
    May 8, 2015 11:46 AM - Mike Kelly: i guess ultimaker
May 8, 2015 11:47 AM - Mike Glass: Is that cause you want to leave the country?
May 8, 2015 11:48 AM - Stephen Capistron: is there a way to have right mouse be "pan" in SW. I hate the little thing that pops up with right-mouse click
May 8, 2015 11:49 AM - Mike Glass: I would go with HP
    May 8, 2015 11:49 AM - jbigler1986: yeah that is annoying
May 8, 2015 11:50 AM - Mike Glass: anything is possible
    May 8, 2015 11:52 AM - jbigler1986: here you go http://www.3d-printing-jobs.com/
May 8, 2015 11:54 AM - Shank: is there anyway to increase the refresh rate on my LCD Screen
May 8, 2015 11:54 AM - Mike Kelly: HP's too corporate for me
May 8, 2015 11:55 AM - Mike Glass: I know people that work there, they said they are treated the best
    May 8, 2015 11:55 AM - jbigler1986: I'm not a fan of big corporations either
May 8, 2015 11:56 AM - Mike Glass: blink you eyes faster shank
    May 8, 2015 11:56 AM - Mike Kelly: lol
May 8, 2015 11:56 AM - jbigler1986: MK secretly wants to work for Tiko. Just doesn't want to admit it
    May 8, 2015 11:56 AM - Mike Kelly: i wouldn't mind working for HP
    May 8, 2015 11:56 AM - Mike Kelly: haha
May 8, 2015 11:56 AM - Mike Kelly: they could use an actual engineer on their staff
May 8, 2015 11:57 AM - Mike Glass: one of my HP reps has a hell of a spending account.
    May 8, 2015 11:57 AM - jbigler1986: how dare you
May 8, 2015 11:57 AM - Shank: blinking my eyes only made it harder to read the screen lol
May 8, 2015 11:57 AM - Mike Kelly: i just call it like i sees it
May 8, 2015 11:58 AM - Mike Glass: can you move the lcd screen up and down faster then?
May 8, 2015 11:58 AM - Mike Kelly: what do you mean by refresh rate shank
May 8, 2015 11:58 AM - Mike Glass: oh try putting a fan in front of it
May 8, 2015 11:59 AM - Mike Kelly: apparently mike's in troll mode today
May 8, 2015 11:59 AM - jbigler1986: idk what you are trying to accomplish shank
May 8, 2015 11:59 AM - Shank: so the xyz locations update faster nothing more
May 8, 2015 11:59 AM - Mike Kelly: i think he might mean the data aquisition and display rate
May 8, 2015 12:00 PM - Mike Glass: Oh not the actuall frequency of the screen.
May 8, 2015 12:00 PM - Mike Kelly: response rate might be a better descriptor
May 8, 2015 12:00 PM - Shank: ya probably would have been
May 8, 2015 12:01 PM - Mike Glass: does that come from the pc or the ramps?
May 8, 2015 12:01 PM - Mike Kelly: i presume it to be possible but none of us have ever delved into that
May 8, 2015 12:01 PM - Mike Kelly: comes from the arduino
May 8, 2015 12:02 PM - Mike Glass: but the ramps has the sensors correct
    May 8, 2015 12:02 PM - Mike Kelly: i mean sorta
    May 8, 2015 12:03 PM - Mike Kelly: it's a pass through board
May 8, 2015 12:03 PM - Mike Kelly: only purpose is to protect the arduino and house chips
May 8, 2015 12:03 PM - Mike Glass: so wonder if it reads it from the arduino>ramps>arduino
May 8, 2015 12:03 PM - daniel871: Welp, signed up for the Onshape beta anyway to try it out.
May 8, 2015 12:03 PM - Mike Kelly: well like for X Y Z locations it goes Arduino > Stepper driver > steppers
May 8, 2015 12:03 PM - Mike Glass: then back to the ramps as it has the lcd driver
May 8, 2015 12:04 PM - Mike Kelly: so the arduino would be simultaneously sending to both the stepper driver and the lcd
May 8, 2015 12:04 PM - Mike Kelly: but there's also buffering to deal with
May 8, 2015 12:04 PM - Shank: but the MC gcode terminal is faster then the lcd
May 8, 2015 12:04 PM - Mike Kelly: what you're seeing there is MC sending the signal
May 8, 2015 12:04 PM - Mike Glass: what lcd do you have?
May 8, 2015 12:05 PM - Shank: the full graphics one
May 8, 2015 12:05 PM - Mike Kelly: so it goes computer > arduino > buffer > lcd
May 8, 2015 12:05 PM - Mike Kelly: since it's usually quite a few commands ahead of the real time motion
May 8, 2015 12:06 PM - Mike Glass: I will check mine, not sure that I noticed it being slow.
May 8, 2015 12:07 PM - Shank: hum, i wonder if the MC terminal is as fast running the printer off the Sd card then
May 8, 2015 12:08 PM - Mike Kelly: not sure commands will be displayed on the terminal
    May 8, 2015 12:08 PM - jbigler1986: LCD is immediate for me
May 8, 2015 12:09 PM - Shank: mine feels like its not showing every XYZ location, but that might be just me
May 8, 2015 12:11 PM - Mike Kelly: i guess i'm not seeing the end goal of this
    May 8, 2015 12:11 PM - jbigler1986: me either
May 8, 2015 12:12 PM - jbigler1986: what are you trying to accomplish
May 8, 2015 12:13 PM - Shank: just screwing around no end goal
May 8, 2015 12:13 PM - Mike Glass: I need to cutout something this weekend on the cnc, any ideas?

May 8, 2015 12:14 PM - Shank: if i could figure out how to program the LCD screen i would make it feel more like a CNC output or like the Terminal output
May 8, 2015 12:14 PM - Mike Kelly: obligatory "another cnc" response
    May 8, 2015 12:14 PM - jbigler1986: any specific material?
    May 8, 2015 12:14 PM - Mike Glass: 1/4 in mdf
May 8, 2015 12:16 PM - Mike Glass: Think I have some 3/16 plexi also
May 8, 2015 12:16 PM - Mike Glass: yeah I remember its a red sheet.
May 8, 2015 12:17 PM - jbigler1986: cut out a tiki and send it to mk
May 8, 2015 12:17 PM - Mike Kelly: i hate spending all this time thinking about tubing routing knowing that they're probably not going to do what i designed anyways
    May 8, 2015 12:17 PM - Mike Glass: lol
May 8, 2015 12:17 PM - jbigler1986: so he can dream about it
    May 8, 2015 12:17 PM - Mike Kelly: i do like tiki's
    May 8, 2015 12:17 PM - Mike Glass: hahaha
May 8, 2015 12:18 PM - Mike Kelly: especially the torches
    May 8, 2015 12:18 PM - jbigler1986: they are nice
    May 8, 2015 12:20 PM - jbigler1986: i said tiko not tiki. silly
May 8, 2015 12:20 PM - Mike Glass: @Mike Glass -Cool last name btw, Firstly, we are modular, truly modular. Everything from the nozzle to the extruder, to the in board electronics in our Core drawer is upgradeable and easily replaceable by the you the user. We are working on creating extruders and heads that accommodate all diameters, or at the least provide a design file that you can print yourself to accommodate what you have at your disposal. Keep inquiring and we will make it
    May 8, 2015 12:20 PM - Mike Kelly: no you didn't
    May 8, 2015 12:20 PM - Mike Glass: :)

May 8, 2015 1:26 PM - jbigler1986: will nozzle size effect the extruder calibration
May 8, 2015 1:27 PM - Mike Kelly: with extruder calibration i feel like ideally you should do it without any front pressure
May 8, 2015 1:27 PM - Mike Glass: ultra with Acetone?
May 8, 2015 1:27 PM - Mike Kelly: otherwise you might get skipping which isn't really a true test

    May 8, 2015 1:38 PM - jbigler1986: wtf is a brony
May 8, 2015 1:38 PM - daniel871: A brony is the brand of internet weirdo that fantasizes about having sex with cartoon horses.
May 8, 2015 1:39 PM - daniel871: That GIF I posted was from another cartoon where the Teen Titans destroy the My Little Pony world.
    May 8, 2015 1:39 PM - Mike Kelly: no that's a bronysexual
May 8, 2015 1:39 PM - Mike Kelly: a brony is just a guy that likes my little pony

    May 8, 2015 1:40 PM - daniel871: They're literally the same thing, MK.
May 8, 2015 1:41 PM - daniel871: If you ever make the mistake of reading the creepy-detailed treatises bronies write about that show, you wouldn't make the distinction.
May 8, 2015 1:41 PM - Mike Kelly: i would never read such a thing
    May 8, 2015 1:41 PM - Braydon ROBO 3D: r1 plus

May 8, 2015 1:44 PM - Mike Glass: pretty touch screen
May 8, 2015 1:44 PM - Mike Kelly: first rule of robo3d: do not ask about the R2
May 8, 2015 1:45 PM - jbigler1986: he said it is not the mc touch
May 8, 2015 1:45 PM - Mike Glass: im glad I didnt wait fot the R2 that was suppose to ship in early 2015..lol
May 8, 2015 1:45 PM - daniel871: How is that Spectrum thing supposed to work? Basically a multi-colored sharpie tool that marks the filament or what?
    May 8, 2015 1:46 PM - Mike Kelly: http://community.robo3d.com/index.php?threads/shoutbox-archive.4737/page-23#post-46228
May 8, 2015 1:46 PM - Mike Kelly: correct daniel
May 8, 2015 1:46 PM - Mike Kelly: it in essence "dyes" it
May 8, 2015 1:46 PM - Mike Kelly: in the spectrom thread i posted some videos of their prototypes
May 8, 2015 1:46 PM - Mike Kelly: it only works on a per layer basis right now
    May 8, 2015 1:47 PM - Mike Glass: or even dye's it
    May 8, 2015 1:47 PM - Mike Kelly: crap
    May 8, 2015 1:47 PM - Mike Glass: doh
May 8, 2015 1:49 PM - jbigler1986: dual extruder kit made from gold and diamonds for the robo. oh yeah

May 8, 2015 2:22 PM - Mike Glass: autolevel and laser for cnc
May 8, 2015 2:22 PM - toy: nice crimpers... have you used them before?
May 8, 2015 2:23 PM - Mike Glass: just got them
May 8, 2015 2:25 PM - toy: the trick is to position male in the grooves (click 2 to secure it) pull it through until it wont go any farther.... insert wire / finish squeezing
    May 8, 2015 2:26 PM - toy: click twice
May 8, 2015 2:27 PM - Mike Glass: I see, as it has two levels in the die
May 8, 2015 2:28 PM - toy: if you dont try to pull it out... once you do the 2 clicks, u will damage it when u do the final squeeze
May 8, 2015 2:29 PM - toy: opps.. it three clicks (sn-28b) to secure it
    May 8, 2015 2:31 PM - Mike Glass: does 6 click total
    May 8, 2015 2:31 PM - toy: yup...i just counted it too =)
May 8, 2015 2:32 PM - toy: after 3 , u want to make sure the male connector is seated all the way forward before inserting the wire
    May 8, 2015 2:39 PM - Mike Glass: hmm
    May 8, 2015 2:41 PM - Mike Glass: http://imgur.com/3t4sq1d. Like this?
May 8, 2015 2:42 PM - toy: the little fins should be pointing down
May 8, 2015 2:42 PM - toy: on the otherside?
May 8, 2015 2:43 PM - Mike Glass: ok gotcha
May 8, 2015 2:44 PM - toy: right past the fins, is to more tabs... that is how long you need to strip the wire
    May 8, 2015 2:44 PM - toy: 2 more tab...
May 8, 2015 2:45 PM - Mike Glass: http://imgur.com/q3afovb looks like it worked
May 8, 2015 2:46 PM - Mike Glass: didn't notice the smaller die on the right side until I saw the picture..lol
May 8, 2015 2:47 PM - toy: your dies are a little diff then the ones i have...
May 8, 2015 2:48 PM - toy: important thing is that the 2 fins cut into the wire insulator
    May 8, 2015 2:53 PM - toy: http://imgur.com/PQsQO5W taken on m iphone..
May 8, 2015 2:54 PM - Mike Glass: and secure it too
May 8, 2015 2:54 PM - Mike Glass: thanks for the tips.
May 8, 2015 2:55 PM - Mike Glass: these will be much better than pliers
May 8, 2015 2:55 PM - toy: np ... i wasted about 10 or so until i mastered the perfect crimp lol
May 8, 2015 2:56 PM - Mike Glass: so all they way in to secure the wire then pull back to secure the rest of the wires.
    May 8, 2015 2:56 PM - toy: wires?
May 8, 2015 2:57 PM - Mike Glass: the crimp with the wire
May 8, 2015 2:58 PM - toy: position male adapter in die, click 3 times ( for my dies i have to keep it from twisting with my fingers)
May 8, 2015 2:58 PM - toy: once i click 3 times..i seat the male adapter all the way forward
    May 8, 2015 2:59 PM - toy: insert wire
    May 8, 2015 2:59 PM - toy: finish the last 3 clicks
May 8, 2015 3:04 PM - Mike Glass: ok, did that worked
    May 8, 2015 3:06 PM - Mike Glass: wow everybody cleared out..lol
    May 8, 2015 3:08 PM - Bill Monroe: back
May 8, 2015 3:12 PM - jbigler1986: Benchy test with a new nozzle. See if that was the issue

May 8, 2015 3:47 PM - jbigler1986: Time to calibrate extrude like 5 times, clean hobbed bolt. Go from there I guess
May 8, 2015 3:47 PM - jbigler1986: MK or bill. Got any other ideas?
May 8, 2015 3:49 PM - Bill Monroe: different filament

May 8, 2015 4:07 PM - toy: i think my next printer will feature linear acuators, geared dc motors w/ encoders, running mach3
May 8, 2015 4:07 PM - Bill Monroe: yup.. that's why quality CNC machines use glass scales on the table feeding controllers
May 8, 2015 4:08 PM - toy: have u seen the dro's that use imaging (camera) for poistioning
May 8, 2015 4:08 PM - Bill Monroe: get the encoder off the motor and reading the table directly, or you'll just have the same thing as an open-loop stepper
May 8, 2015 4:09 PM - Bill Monroe: ya.. I dont trust them yet.. too many things can fool them
May 8, 2015 4:09 PM - toy: i think im gonna focus on closed loop printers next
May 8, 2015 4:09 PM - Bill Monroe: my cnc router is closed
    May 8, 2015 4:10 PM - toy: i think u should me a pic before
May 8, 2015 4:10 PM - Bill Monroe: string encoders connected to the table, feeing back to a Galil controller driving big-ol DC motors
    May 8, 2015 4:10 PM - Bill Monroe: i might have
May 8, 2015 4:11 PM - toy: how good are those string encoders?
May 8, 2015 4:11 PM - toy: im more familiar with rotary encoders
May 8, 2015 4:12 PM - toy: does the "string" ever need replacing from strectching?
May 8, 2015 4:12 PM - Bill Monroe: truth be told, a strinbg encoder IS a rotary, only a string wrapped around a drum turns it
    May 8, 2015 4:13 PM - toy: /concur
May 8, 2015 4:13 PM - Bill Monroe: no.. it's actually wire, like heavy duty fishing line
May 8, 2015 4:14 PM - Bill Monroe: the cool thing is, you can mount it remotely, and run the tring to to a hook on the table and Bam.. feedback
May 8, 2015 4:14 PM - toy: whats the rez?
    May 8, 2015 4:14 PM - toy: resolution?
    May 8, 2015 4:15 PM - Bill Monroe: mine is .001
May 8, 2015 4:15 PM - toy: i need to research a low cost high resolution encoder.. for a printer
May 8, 2015 4:15 PM - Bill Monroe: fine for engraving marble, which is what I originally built it to do
May 8, 2015 4:17 PM - Bill Monroe: i have one in my lab, hang on I'll see what that one is
May 8, 2015 4:17 PM - toy: stone was one of my favorite things to cut with a waterjet
May 8, 2015 4:19 PM - toy: lol if u ever goto the hoover damn... look for the clocks on 2 inlet towers.... i made those
    May 8, 2015 4:19 PM - Bill Monroe: this one is .005
May 8, 2015 4:20 PM - Bill Monroe: I used it to make replacement grave stones and crypt covers for national cemetaries
May 8, 2015 4:20 PM - Bill Monroe: a few new ones now and then
May 8, 2015 4:21 PM - toy: nice.... a little creepy but damn cool
May 8, 2015 4:21 PM - Bill Monroe: eh its how you look at it I guess.. they're pretty awesome
May 8, 2015 4:22 PM - Bill Monroe: I did some for spanish american war vets.. really nice
May 8, 2015 4:22 PM - toy: the biggest thing i ever made is over 50 ft tall
May 8, 2015 4:22 PM - Bill Monroe: wait, this one is .004

    May 8, 2015 4:31 PM - toy: .004 is about 100microns
May 8, 2015 4:32 PM - toy: i would like to get down to .001
    May 8, 2015 4:32 PM - Bill Monroe: 101.6
    May 8, 2015 4:32 PM - Bill Monroe: .001 microns?!?
    May 8, 2015 4:32 PM - toy: noo
    May 8, 2015 4:32 PM - toy: inches
    May 8, 2015 4:32 PM - toy: .001 inches

May 8, 2015 4:33 PM - Bill Monroe: although I did microscope slide positioned that was down in that range
    May 8, 2015 4:33 PM - Bill Monroe: positioner
May 8, 2015 4:33 PM - Bill Monroe: used a vision system to count cells
May 8, 2015 4:33 PM - toy: my robo is usually withen 100 microns in the x y
    May 8, 2015 4:37 PM - toy: i think i might be onto something... http://www.yuriystoys.com/2013/12/selecting-scales-for-dro.html
May 8, 2015 4:37 PM - toy: what about if the dro was the linear rail
May 8, 2015 4:39 PM - Bill Monroe: it's done often.. 6 years ago I took a mititoyo digital ccaliper with SPC output, run it through a microprocessor and output quadrature signals
May 8, 2015 4:39 PM - Bill Monroe: used it for the quil on a harbor freight mill
    May 8, 2015 4:39 PM - toy: mount a hotend to it
May 8, 2015 4:40 PM - Bill Monroe: sure wished they still sold those mills, they were awesome
    May 8, 2015 4:42 PM - toy: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...spend-tom-brady-deflategate-article-1.2215881

May 8, 2015 4:45 PM - toy: bill couldnt i just attach a hotend to the slider along with a belt to drive it?
    May 8, 2015 4:46 PM - toy: i should have a complete closed loop x-axis right their
    May 8, 2015 4:47 PM - toy: in a nice package
May 8, 2015 4:47 PM - Bill Monroe: if you can find a way to attach it, sure
May 8, 2015 4:47 PM - Bill Monroe: then you'll need a controller that can accept the feedback, and software to know what to do with it
    May 8, 2015 4:47 PM - toy: mach3 for the software
    May 8, 2015 4:48 PM - Bill Monroe: mach3 has no feedback
May 8, 2015 4:51 PM - toy: i have to take off.. and get some things turned at my friends shop
    May 8, 2015 4:51 PM - toy: i thought mach3 supported encoders
May 8, 2015 4:51 PM - Bill Monroe: have fun
May 8, 2015 4:52 PM - Bill Monroe: unless they
May 8, 2015 4:52 PM - Bill Monroe: ve updated it
May 8, 2015 4:52 PM - toy: research mach4... which is out in trail form btw
    May 8, 2015 4:52 PM - toy: trial
May 8, 2015 4:52 PM - Bill Monroe: someday I will.. got my hands full right now
    May 8, 2015 4:52 PM - toy: cya bill
    May 8, 2015 4:53 PM - Bill Monroe: cya
May 8, 2015 5:38 PM - jbigler1986: Cleaned hobbed bolt. Teeth were full of filament
May 8, 2015 5:38 PM - Bill Monroe: gotta floss.. gotta floss...
    May 8, 2015 5:38 PM - jbigler1986: Recalibrated. Testing now
    May 8, 2015 5:39 PM - jbigler1986: Yeah used a dental pick
May 8, 2015 5:39 PM - jbigler1986: Steps were a little off but nothing like this morning
May 8, 2015 5:40 PM - jbigler1986: Cross my fingers that this is fixed.
May 8, 2015 5:42 PM - Bill Monroe: i have to inspect a vintage plane tomorrow.. and write 5 programs for school.. hopefully I'll still get my machine's change complete before the weekend is exhausted
    May 8, 2015 5:43 PM - jbigler1986: Yay. Programming. Not
May 8, 2015 5:43 PM - jbigler1986: Hobbed bolt was so bad that it stopped extruding during calibration. Lol
    May 8, 2015 5:43 PM - jbigler1986: Buying a plane?
May 8, 2015 5:44 PM - Bill Monroe: i enjoy programming, but the prof has a sever case of unpredicatable anal OCD.. hard to know if what he told you to do, is till what he wants when he's grading
May 8, 2015 5:45 PM - Bill Monroe: no, I just boght one a few weeks ago.. Tomorrow I'll be inspecting a 1950 Cessna 195 for it's annual safety and conformance inspection
    May 8, 2015 5:46 PM - Bill Monroe: http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/9/1/1/1981119.jpg
May 8, 2015 5:46 PM - Bill Monroe: looks like that
    May 8, 2015 5:49 PM - jbigler1986: Nice
May 8, 2015 5:49 PM - jbigler1986: This part is looking good. I think I fixed it. Yay
May 8, 2015 5:49 PM - Bill Monroe: very nice.. my freind owns 2 of them

May 8, 2015 5:52 PM - Bill Monroe: this is the actual plane: http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/9/1/1/1981119.jpg
    May 8, 2015 5:52 PM - Bill Monroe: N60W
May 8, 2015 5:53 PM - jbigler1986: Fly over here so we can have a beer
May 8, 2015 5:53 PM - jbigler1986: So that's not yours? You are just inspecting it for someone?
May 8, 2015 5:54 PM - Bill Monroe: that one's not mine, my freind own it and another one just like it.. I get to fly them though :)
May 8, 2015 5:54 PM - Bill Monroe: i'm licensed by the FAA to do annual inspections
May 8, 2015 5:56 PM - Bill Monroe: that's an old pic, but it still looks like that
May 8, 2015 5:56 PM - Bill Monroe: I knew the previous owner too, used to work for him
May 8, 2015 5:58 PM - Bill Monroe: guys that know about vintage/antique and orphaned planes are scarce and getting rare so I keep pretty busy.. once someone finds out I specialze in them, they usually stick around :)
    May 8, 2015 6:00 PM - jbigler1986: Pay you for it?
May 8, 2015 6:00 PM - Bill Monroe: hey! I found pics of both of his planes at a meet we went too..
May 8, 2015 6:00 PM - Bill Monroe: oh ya.. for these planes I get $1300
May 8, 2015 6:02 PM - jbigler1986: How long does it take to inspect
May 8, 2015 6:03 PM - Bill Monroe: the first time for any plane takes me about 10 hours, most of it research and paperwork.. following years it takes me 2-3 hours, all I have to do is actually inspect it
May 8, 2015 6:05 PM - Bill Monroe: homebuilt and kit planes dont require me to do it, although I can.. for those the builder can get a cert to do a "conditional inspection" on his plane.
May 8, 2015 6:05 PM - Bill Monroe: but if you buy a homebuilt, you cant do it, only the builder can
May 8, 2015 6:06 PM - Bill Monroe: so homebuilts usually go for pennies on the dollar..
    May 8, 2015 6:07 PM - Bill Monroe: that's why I like em.... I can inspect them :)
May 8, 2015 6:08 PM - Droid: thats a sweet lookin plane bill
May 8, 2015 6:09 PM - Bill Monroe: its' really really nice.. 5 seats.. very roomy flys like a truck. 300hp jacobs radial engine
May 8, 2015 6:09 PM - Bill Monroe: impossible to see forward durintg landing though.. takes practice to land it without groundlooping
May 8, 2015 6:10 PM - Bill Monroe: this is the one I bought a few weeks ago.. highly modified : http://www.bowersflybaby.com/pix/hevle1.JPG
    May 8, 2015 6:17 PM - jbigler1986: So you have 2 planes now?
    May 8, 2015 6:17 PM - Bill Monroe: I do :)
May 8, 2015 6:17 PM - Bill Monroe: I had three for awhile but I sold the Cessna to make room for the fly baby
    May 8, 2015 6:18 PM - jbigler1986: High 5
May 8, 2015 6:19 PM - Bill Monroe: totaly worked in my favor, the fly baby's wings fold so it easily fits in the hager with the bellanca.. only need one hanger now so save rent there
May 8, 2015 6:19 PM - Bill Monroe: sold the cessna for 68K bought fly baby for 6500.. huge residual
May 8, 2015 6:20 PM - Bill Monroe: and the fly baby is kick-butt fun
May 8, 2015 6:21 PM - Bill Monroe: bellanca = fast and high.. good traveler.. flybaby = low and slow.. pure fun
May 8, 2015 6:22 PM - Bill Monroe: all I need now is a high performance aerobat so I can claim the hat trick of airplane valhalla
May 8, 2015 6:28 PM - Bill Monroe: I've been trying to hookup with this guy to go look at this plane: http://barnstormers.com/tmp_images/a7/dc/.watermarked_40346edada1b0d3df14086b44ac85252.jpg
May 8, 2015 6:38 PM - Bill Monroe: ok, enough homework for me.. i'm going to frug on home...
    May 8, 2015 7:21 PM - jbigler1986: Hmmm
May 8, 2015 7:25 PM - Shank: my new e3d is giving me problems
    May 8, 2015 7:27 PM - jbigler1986: Explain
May 8, 2015 7:30 PM - Shank: plastic just doesnt wanna stick to the bed anymore, alond with it not filling in the layers like it did with the hexagon
May 8, 2015 7:33 PM - jbigler1986: Probably need to adjust offset again
    May 8, 2015 7:34 PM - Shank: i will give that a try
    May 8, 2015 7:51 PM - jbigler1986: I did after changing hotends
May 8, 2015 7:54 PM - Shank: well just changed it running a calibration block now
May 8, 2015 7:55 PM - Mike Glass: what up boys
    May 8, 2015 7:56 PM - daniel871: Playing with E3D hotend and LCD controller.
    May 8, 2015 7:56 PM - daniel871: 3DBenchy prints in various materials.
May 8, 2015 7:57 PM - daniel871: Made the mistake of trying T-glase first and fiddling with layer heights.
May 8, 2015 7:57 PM - Shank: im just trying to get plastic to stick
May 8, 2015 7:58 PM - daniel871: Is there any way to make the LCD controller heat the bed and the nozzle simultaneously, or can it only handle one at a time?
May 8, 2015 7:58 PM - daniel871: As something in the Simplify 3D process file?
May 8, 2015 7:59 PM - Mike Glass: yea if you go to prepare on the menu there should be a pla and abs preheat
May 8, 2015 7:59 PM - Mike Glass: on the lcd
May 8, 2015 7:59 PM - daniel871: Which would put me in the neighborhood of most materials. Hm.
May 8, 2015 8:00 PM - Mike Glass: I use it all the time before the pc boots up so its ready by the time i print
May 8, 2015 8:05 PM - daniel871: Hm. Skirting on the Benchy popped up and is just floating around while the main body is being printed.
    May 8, 2015 8:05 PM - daniel871: Main body stuck good though.
May 8, 2015 8:09 PM - daniel871: Think I'll print the wine glass again, this is looking pretty clean.
May 8, 2015 8:10 PM - Shank: finally got plastic to stick to the tape again
May 8, 2015 8:11 PM - Shank: you know its been a rough night of printing when that makes you happy
May 8, 2015 8:19 PM - daniel871: Bah, Benchy went to Hell as it got to the cabin part of the boat.
May 8, 2015 8:23 PM - Shank: what boat are you doing?
    May 8, 2015 8:27 PM - daniel871: The 3D Benchy boat
    May 8, 2015 8:27 PM - daniel871: On thingiverse.
May 8, 2015 8:29 PM - Shank: that looks like fun, the top of the cabin looks like the part where it would screw up
    May 8, 2015 8:31 PM - daniel871: Yeah.
May 8, 2015 8:31 PM - daniel871: Moving on to a vase, since T-glase did really well with that on the Hexagon I'm interested in comparing now that the E3D is on here. Benchy is supposed to be a difficult print anyway if everything doesn't go perfectly.
May 8, 2015 8:33 PM - Shank: im just starting to get my E3D tuned in, with hope it will be fully running soon
May 8, 2015 8:35 PM - daniel871: I like how it seems to be heating up a little more rapidly than the Hexagon, and staying at a more steady temperature range (Hex would fluctuate +/-5 degrees, the E3D seems to stay within +/-2).
May 8, 2015 8:36 PM - Shank: Same here, it also looks like it has a smaller diameter but everyone says its a .4 like the hexagon
May 8, 2015 8:37 PM - daniel871: I sprung for the set of nozzles and have a .8 on there now for the vase.
May 8, 2015 8:38 PM - Shank: i have only had mine for about a week now so havent bought any new nozzles yet

May 9, 2015 at 4:25 AM - jbigler1986: What time do you wake up? 2am
May 9, 2015 at 4:25 AM - Bill Monroe: ya, just after two this morning
May 9, 2015 at 4:25 AM - Bill Monroe: i wake up when my body tells me to, so to speak
    May 9, 2015 at 4:46 AM - jbigler1986: I hear ya
May 9, 2015 at 5:12 AM - daniel871: wake up, time to poop!

May 9, 2015 at 5:55 AM - jbigler1986: Need to lower the front left a little somehow
May 9, 2015 at 6:44 AM - jbigler1986: Is my stream choppy for anyone?
    May 9, 2015 at 6:45 AM - jbigler1986: http://m.ustream.tv/channel/jbigler1986
May 9, 2015 at 7:30 AM - Bill Monroe: maybe you should see a doctor
May 9, 2015 at 7:31 AM - Bill Monroe: I hear they have great stuff for weak and choppy streams
May 9, 2015 at 7:31 AM - Bill Monroe: ya, it's choppy and slightly pixilated here
    May 9, 2015 at 8:54 AM - TechSupportGo: should I print my .8mm nozzle at .8 mm?
May 9, 2015 at 8:58 AM - Bill Monroe: dunno why not
May 9, 2015 at 9:11 AM - mark tomlinson: You should print at a layer height of 30-50% the nozzle size for best results. the layer width should be the size of the nozzle...
May 9, 2015 at 9:12 AM - mark tomlinson: but, whatever works for you :)
May 9, 2015 at 9:31 AM - TechSupportGo: does strings mean too much or too little heat?
May 9, 2015 at 9:37 AM - TechSupportGo: retraction and maybe less heat... thanks
    May 9, 2015 at 9:54 AM - Mike Glass: I use .6
May 9, 2015 at 9:55 AM - Mike Glass: how you doing TSG, Hopefully better :)
May 9, 2015 at 10:04 AM - TechSupportGo: I am better thanks, well enough to get out of bed today..
May 9, 2015 at 10:33 AM - jbigler1986: Hola. Bday party over. Have a headache now though
May 9, 2015 at 10:37 AM - Bill Monroe: back
May 9, 2015 at 10:39 AM - Mike Kelly: that sucks JB
May 9, 2015 at 10:39 AM - Mike Kelly: got the R1.6 back up
May 9, 2015 at 10:52 AM - Mike Glass: http://imgur.com/bwVvfvl some cnc fun
May 9, 2015 at 11:10 AM - Mike Kelly: cute
May 9, 2015 at 11:19 AM - Mike Kelly: supposedly my bondtech's will arrive on wednesday
May 9, 2015 at 11:26 AM - Mike Glass: nice that will be fun
May 9, 2015 at 11:26 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah i'm tired of printing at 30mm/s to get a good finish
May 9, 2015 at 11:28 AM - Mike Kelly: let's see if i can get 4 printers operating at once
    May 9, 2015 at 11:31 AM - Mike Glass: I wish I had at least 2
May 9, 2015 at 11:31 AM - Mike Kelly: this is the first time i've ever felt like it was helpful to have more than 2
    May 9, 2015 at 11:32 AM - Mike Kelly: or 1 even
May 9, 2015 at 12:53 PM - Mike Kelly: alrighty, 4 printers operating
    May 9, 2015 at 12:55 PM - jbigler1986: What
May 9, 2015 at 12:57 PM - Mike Kelly: printing a part on each printer i have access to
May 9, 2015 at 12:57 PM - Mike Kelly: letter block on the rep2x and a prototype on the other 3
    May 9, 2015 at 12:59 PM - jbigler1986: Nice
May 9, 2015 at 12:59 PM - jbigler1986: Got the thermistor and heater cartridge wired up to the connector
May 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM - Mike Kelly: sweet
May 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM - jbigler1986: Wanted to switch to my other v6 because mine was extruding horrible. There has to be a clog in there somewhere
May 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM - jbigler1986: So I figured it was a good time to wire up the connector
May 9, 2015 at 1:01 PM - Mike Kelly: i generally just swap nozzles
    May 9, 2015 at 1:02 PM - jbigler1986: Tried
May 9, 2015 at 1:03 PM - Mike Kelly: crazy
May 9, 2015 at 1:03 PM - jbigler1986: So I think it's in the heat block or something. If this still extrudes like crap then gotta think of where to go next
    May 9, 2015 at 1:05 PM - jbigler1986: Heat break
    May 9, 2015 at 1:09 PM - jbigler1986: Extruder calibration went from 723 to 812 to 756 to 553
May 9, 2015 at 1:09 PM - jbigler1986: So it was all over the map. Ever seen it that bad?
May 9, 2015 at 1:14 PM - Mike Kelly: no that doesn't make sense imo
May 9, 2015 at 1:14 PM - Mike Kelly: try turning the extruder temperature way up so it doesn't take much force to extrude the filament
May 9, 2015 at 1:14 PM - Mike Kelly: you don't want skipped steps to mess with your calculation
May 9, 2015 at 1:21 PM - Mike Kelly: alternatively extrude the filament super slow
    May 9, 2015 at 1:21 PM - Mike Kelly: G1 E100.0 F50
    May 9, 2015 at 1:23 PM - bamhm182: Hey MK/jb, how's it going?
May 9, 2015 at 1:23 PM - Mike Kelly: sup bam
    May 9, 2015 at 1:23 PM - Mike Kelly: how's night life
    May 9, 2015 at 1:23 PM - bamhm182: Haven't actually had to work a shift yet
May 9, 2015 at 1:25 PM - bamhm182: So I found out last night that I can print things while black out drunk, haha
May 9, 2015 at 1:25 PM - Mike Kelly: but you're trying to adjust yeah?
May 9, 2015 at 1:25 PM - Mike Kelly: lol impressive
May 9, 2015 at 1:25 PM - bamhm182: Unfortunately I didn't print anything crazy or new, just printed a handful more of those Gyroids
May 9, 2015 at 1:26 PM - bamhm182: I also managed to finish a game of risk apparently, which I thought was even more impressive since that actually takes thinking to not get wiped out
May 9, 2015 at 1:27 PM - Mike Kelly: and you won?
    May 9, 2015 at 1:27 PM - bamhm182: Oh absolutely not
    May 9, 2015 at 1:27 PM - bamhm182: But I didn't get wiped out.
May 9, 2015 at 1:28 PM - jbigler1986: Once I finish this wiring I will extrude it slower than 90
May 9, 2015 at 1:28 PM - bamhm182: Maybe everyone was just letting me go on my drunken rampage without taking me seriously, kind of like what the rest of the world does with North Korea
May 9, 2015 at 1:29 PM - Mike Kelly: lol
May 9, 2015 at 1:29 PM - Mike Kelly: did you see i installed the new carriage
    May 9, 2015 at 1:29 PM - jbigler1986: Another one?
May 9, 2015 at 1:29 PM - bamhm182: You mentioned that the other day, how is it working?
May 9, 2015 at 1:30 PM - Mike Kelly: same as the files i sent you
May 9, 2015 at 1:30 PM - Mike Kelly: working well
May 9, 2015 at 1:30 PM - Mike Kelly: the new design to grip the gt2 cable works very well
May 9, 2015 at 1:31 PM - bamhm182: Oh, by the way, jb, do you remember the other morning how I was saying that my fan kept getting knocked off? I figured out what was happening, the power cable for the fan was getting caught on the tension clip for the x-axis belt and that was pulling it off
    May 9, 2015 at 1:31 PM - bamhm182: gt2 cable?
May 9, 2015 at 1:33 PM - bamhm182: Did you see that I printed off the oiler I designed? I didn't print off the body for the Greg's Wade yet, but I printed off the oiler by itself, I think it should work
May 9, 2015 at 1:33 PM - bamhm182: It is short and small enough that I don't see it having any problems
May 9, 2015 at 1:33 PM - bamhm182: But since I don't have any experience with Bowden yet, we'll find out
May 9, 2015 at 1:35 PM - Mike Kelly: the timing belt
    May 9, 2015 at 1:35 PM - Mike Kelly: called GT2
    May 9, 2015 at 1:36 PM - bamhm182: Oh, alright
May 9, 2015 at 1:37 PM - bamhm182: So adding more teeth to grip it worked well?
May 9, 2015 at 1:37 PM - Mike Kelly: yup
    May 9, 2015 at 1:39 PM - bamhm182: Nice
May 9, 2015 at 1:40 PM - bamhm182: How are you liking how the fans are bolted on?
May 9, 2015 at 1:40 PM - Mike Kelly: i haven't put them on yet actually
May 9, 2015 at 1:40 PM - Mike Kelly: since i print ABS mostly i haven't needed to

May 9, 2015 at 1:41 PM - bamhm182: I was wondering if it might work better if you kind of incorporated the winged design of your the hex plate's fans into it if it would bolt on a little more securely
    May 9, 2015 at 1:41 PM - bamhm182: If that makes sense
May 9, 2015 at 1:42 PM - Mike Kelly: nope
    May 9, 2015 at 1:44 PM - bamhm182: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:681916
May 9, 2015 at 1:44 PM - bamhm182: Alright, so see the main picture there, you have the wings that bolt on that you bolt the fans to
May 9, 2015 at 1:44 PM - Mike Kelly: right
May 9, 2015 at 1:45 PM - bamhm182: I was wondering if it would be a good idea to kind of take that design, but attach it to the carriage rather than the plate
    May 9, 2015 at 1:46 PM - Mike Kelly: i don't think you'd gain much
May 9, 2015 at 1:46 PM - bamhm182: I just like that there's more bolts holding the fan on
May 9, 2015 at 1:46 PM - Mike Kelly: i used to think that's beneficial but from a movement perspective you're not gaining any rigidity
May 9, 2015 at 1:47 PM - Mike Kelly: only way it would matter is if the carriage moved along the Y as well
May 9, 2015 at 1:48 PM - bamhm182: Fair enough, why would it matter if the carriage moved along the Y?
May 9, 2015 at 1:51 PM - Mike Kelly: because then you'd have acceleration forces causing the fans to move along an effective 1 point of contacty
May 9, 2015 at 1:51 PM - Mike Kelly: since you're moving along the x there's 2 points to keep it rigid
    May 9, 2015 at 1:52 PM - bamhm182: Okay, makes sense
May 9, 2015 at 1:53 PM - bamhm182: Is there an stl somewhere for the plate I would need to switch to Bowden using the stock carriage?
May 9, 2015 at 1:54 PM - bamhm182: I was redoing all the wiring yesterday and took apart the carriage and noticed the hex was bolted onto the Greg's Wade itself rather than the carriage and that I would need a plate to bolt it onto the carriage, but I couldn't find one
May 9, 2015 at 1:55 PM - Mike Kelly: huh
May 9, 2015 at 1:55 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah the carriage is just there to hold the greg's wade
    May 9, 2015 at 1:55 PM - bamhm182: Yeah
May 9, 2015 at 1:56 PM - Mike Kelly: the seat and saddle from my first dual extruder works on that
    May 9, 2015 at 1:57 PM - Mike Kelly: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:285851/#files
May 9, 2015 at 1:57 PM - Mike Kelly: mount that is
May 9, 2015 at 1:57 PM - Mike Kelly: the mount needs to be flipped 180 however
    May 9, 2015 at 1:58 PM - bamhm182: Alright, awesome
    May 9, 2015 at 1:58 PM - Mike Glass: http://imgur.com/REMsFxK finished now
May 9, 2015 at 1:58 PM - bamhm182: You mean before printing? Why not just
    May 9, 2015 at 1:58 PM - bamhm182: flip it 90 so it's flat?
May 9, 2015 at 1:59 PM - bamhm182: wow, that's pretty cool MG, you make that with the CNC?
May 9, 2015 at 1:59 PM - Mike Glass: yeah, had some old plexi laying around
May 9, 2015 at 1:59 PM - bamhm182: Nice. How did you make it red?
May 9, 2015 at 1:59 PM - Mike Glass: its red plexi
May 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM - bamhm182: Oh, I guess that works too. I was going to say it looks really nice for being painted
May 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM - Mike Glass: I used them for backgrounds in car audio boxes with neon tubes
May 9, 2015 at 2:01 PM - Mike Glass: still trying to get a handle on the software
May 9, 2015 at 2:03 PM - Mike Kelly: because it won't print flat
May 9, 2015 at 2:04 PM - bamhm182: Alright, I'll take your word for it
May 9, 2015 at 2:05 PM - Mike Kelly: good plan
    May 9, 2015 at 2:05 PM - bamhm182: Usually is
May 9, 2015 at 2:05 PM - Mike Kelly: i'm so confused at what my robo is doing
May 9, 2015 at 2:06 PM - Mike Kelly: i think somehow the extruder got switched
    May 9, 2015 at 2:06 PM - bamhm182: What is it doing?
May 9, 2015 at 2:06 PM - Mike Glass: switched?
May 9, 2015 at 2:06 PM - Mike Kelly: like extruder 2 got switched over to extruder 1
May 9, 2015 at 2:07 PM - Mike Kelly: so it's printing extruder 1's filament instead of 2
    May 9, 2015 at 2:07 PM - bamhm182: Oh
    May 9, 2015 at 2:07 PM - Mike Kelly: #DualExtruderProblems
    May 9, 2015 at 2:07 PM - bamhm182: Haha
May 9, 2015 at 2:07 PM - Mike Kelly: it's not it's cracked up to be
May 9, 2015 at 2:08 PM - bamhm182: I was kind of surprised that everything worked after tearing down my printer yesterday
May 9, 2015 at 2:08 PM - bamhm182: The only issues that I had were that I reversed the red and the green on the extruder stepper, swapped them back and it works
May 9, 2015 at 2:09 PM - Mike Kelly: nice
May 9, 2015 at 2:09 PM - Mike Kelly: well it's printing in the right color
May 9, 2015 at 2:09 PM - Mike Kelly: how strange
May 9, 2015 at 2:09 PM - bamhm182: By the way, without anything to tie the hot end's cable to, how do you keep it vertical?
May 9, 2015 at 2:10 PM - bamhm182: Like, if I don't zip tie the cables going to the hot end to the greg's wade, they tend to go lower than I would like when the extruder is all the way to the right
May 9, 2015 at 2:11 PM - Mike Kelly: hmm i've never had that happen
May 9, 2015 at 2:11 PM - Mike Kelly: i'm desning something to secure the wire bundle too
    May 9, 2015 at 2:11 PM - Mike Glass: http://imgur.com/ArMABaO http://imgur.com/OuhzjhZ
May 9, 2015 at 2:11 PM - Mike Glass: You might like those mike
May 9, 2015 at 2:12 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah i have that part saved, works well?
May 9, 2015 at 2:12 PM - bamhm182: You print without the cover, right? I think that's probably why it does it on mine
May 9, 2015 at 2:12 PM - Mike Kelly: nice pull saw
May 9, 2015 at 2:12 PM - Mike Kelly: no i have an enclosure
    May 9, 2015 at 2:12 PM - bamhm182: Hmn
    May 9, 2015 at 2:23 PM - TechSupportGo: hello
    May 9, 2015 at 2:24 PM - bamhm182: hey
May 9, 2015 at 2:27 PM - Mike Kelly: how goes it
May 9, 2015 at 2:33 PM - bamhm182: How much infill do you think I should put in this Greg's Wade? 50%?
May 9, 2015 at 2:35 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah
May 9, 2015 at 2:39 PM - TechSupportGo: has anyone used daz to make 3d models? http://www.daz3d.com/home
    May 9, 2015 at 2:46 PM - bamhm182: Never heard of it
May 9, 2015 at 2:50 PM - Mike Kelly: man i feel like such a pro right now. my wife was looking for some shelving hooks and for like an hour couldn't find them
May 9, 2015 at 2:51 PM - Mike Kelly: so i start helping her and had her look up the receipt to see if that would give us any clues to when it was purchase
May 9, 2015 at 2:52 PM - Mike Kelly: so we figured out that it was the only small thing in the order, and that led us to figuring out that we wouldn't have gotten a bag and then i realize she probably left them in a purse
May 9, 2015 at 2:52 PM - Mike Kelly: and sure enough she found them 2 seconds later in a purse
May 9, 2015 at 2:55 PM - Droid: techsupport, Ive been learning design using 123D.
May 9, 2015 at 2:58 PM - Droid: kinda just been teaching myself, I just designed this, havent printed it yet, im sure some of the dimensions are off on the holes and gussets in relativity to each other but it will work for the purpose i made it for. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:818860
May 9, 2015 at 2:59 PM - bamhm182: Haha, good detective work, MK
May 9, 2015 at 3:04 PM - TechSupportGo: good job
May 9, 2015 at 3:11 PM - Droid: i've had zero training in 3d design, just started learning it once i bought my printer. I use to build sand rails and do metal fabrication. Never did design work on a computer though. I can picture it in my head exactly how I want it, now Im slowly figuring out how to put that image in my head onto a computer screen.
    May 9, 2015 at 3:12 PM - bamhm182: It's a good skill to learn
May 9, 2015 at 3:12 PM - bamhm182: I hadn't ever touched modeling software until I started looking into my printer as well
May 9, 2015 at 3:13 PM - bamhm182: I've gotten good enough at making things out of simple shapes, but I have no idea how people model things that have a ton of vertices. I'd go mad, haha
    May 9, 2015 at 3:18 PM - bamhm182: [IMG]
    May 9, 2015 at 3:18 PM - bamhm182: Finally have enough Gyroids
May 9, 2015 at 3:18 PM - Droid: wut u gonna do with them
    May 9, 2015 at 3:22 PM - bamhm182: Put them in a box
    May 9, 2015 at 3:24 PM - bamhm182: [IMG]
May 9, 2015 at 3:24 PM - bamhm182: Then once I put them in that box I'm going to give them to my dad for his birthday
May 9, 2015 at 3:26 PM - bamhm182: I'll be back in a bit, going to reboot and install Windows 7 on this second hard drive
May 9, 2015 at 3:40 PM - jbigler1986: Parts fan wired. Now wiring the hotend fan
May 9, 2015 at 4:01 PM - Bill Monroe: back

    May 9, 2015 at 4:27 PM - bamhm182: that's crazy
May 9, 2015 at 4:27 PM - bamhm182: Who would want to appreciate white people?
May 9, 2015 at 4:28 PM - bamhm182: Also, I found out that the reason my Kinect isn't working is not entirely or at all due to being on Windows 10
May 9, 2015 at 4:28 PM - Bill Monroe: i'm thinking about flying up there for lunch tomorrow
May 9, 2015 at 4:28 PM - bamhm182: On Windows 7 here and it's doing the exact same thing

May 9, 2015 at 4:29 PM - Bill Monroe: gotta love a guy who undertands the english language :)
May 9, 2015 at 4:29 PM - Bill Monroe: why not?
    May 9, 2015 at 4:30 PM - bamhm182: I don't know
    May 9, 2015 at 4:31 PM - bamhm182: Just a weird reason to go to a restaurant
May 9, 2015 at 4:31 PM - Bill Monroe: gotta have lunch somewhere :)
    May 9, 2015 at 4:36 PM - bamhm182: True
May 9, 2015 at 4:36 PM - jbigler1986: Soldering all done. Everything works. Just gotta make it look pretty now
May 9, 2015 at 4:36 PM - Bill Monroe: jb, did you break your Robo?
May 9, 2015 at 4:38 PM - TechSupportGo: does anyone know why the front of my boat is doing this? When it is printing the edges seem to warp upward a little, not sure whats causing it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8FWeUGKaHaxTldQRm85ODY2UDg/view?usp=sharing
May 9, 2015 at 4:39 PM - jbigler1986: No. It was extruding like shit. Calibration steps were way far apart on 4 tests. So wanted to switch the v6 with my other v6. Figured while I was at I would go ahead and solder up an 8 pin connector
May 9, 2015 at 4:39 PM - bamhm182: Should be able to fix it by getting better cooling on it
    May 9, 2015 at 4:39 PM - bamhm182: I have a spool that does that a lot too
    May 9, 2015 at 4:40 PM - bamhm182: I just soldered up an 8 pin connector too
May 9, 2015 at 4:40 PM - jbigler1986: Because benchy is a hard print. Lol
May 9, 2015 at 4:40 PM - bamhm182: Looks fancy and should allow me to swap between the cyclops and the hex super quick
May 9, 2015 at 4:41 PM - Bill Monroe: blech.. cyclops.. yuck
    May 9, 2015 at 4:41 PM - bamhm182: haha
May 9, 2015 at 4:41 PM - jbigler1986: Lol. What are you up to Bill
May 9, 2015 at 4:42 PM - Bill Monroe: homework.. just got back from the airport.. gunna listen to my Ben Steinien professor until my brain goes numb, then work on my Robo a bit
May 9, 2015 at 4:46 PM - Bill Monroe: someone see if this link works: http://onlinex.ucsd.edu/CSE/40475/lessons/lec04/index.htm
    May 9, 2015 at 4:52 PM - bamhm182: Works for me
May 9, 2015 at 4:52 PM - Bill Monroe: you see the presentation?
    May 9, 2015 at 4:52 PM - bamhm182: yeah
May 9, 2015 at 4:53 PM - Bill Monroe: ok thanks.. you can stop now before you turn into a zombie
May 9, 2015 at 4:53 PM - bamhm182: God, how do you listen to this guy
    May 9, 2015 at 4:54 PM - bamhm182: He sounds like a robot
    May 9, 2015 at 4:54 PM - Bill Monroe: ya, I know
May 9, 2015 at 4:54 PM - Bill Monroe: remember Ben Stein?
    May 9, 2015 at 4:54 PM - bamhm182: zzz
    May 9, 2015 at 4:54 PM - bamhm182: Yeah, haha
May 9, 2015 at 4:54 PM - Bill Monroe: Bueller? bueller?
    May 9, 2015 at 4:54 PM - bamhm182:
May 9, 2015 at 4:56 PM - bamhm182: I'm pretty sure he watched that movie in order to get tips on how to teach
May 9, 2015 at 4:59 PM - bamhm182: Anyways, I'm going to go be social, I'll see you all later
May 9, 2015 at 5:34 PM - jbigler1986: Yay. Got it all buttoned back up
    May 9, 2015 at 5:36 PM - Bill Monroe: <hi5>
    May 9, 2015 at 5:38 PM - jbigler1986: Haven't calibrated extruder yet though
May 9, 2015 at 5:39 PM - Bill Monroe: well, get busy citizen
    May 9, 2015 at 5:53 PM - jbigler1986: About to
May 9, 2015 at 6:11 PM - jbigler1986: What's happening in your neck of the woods?
May 9, 2015 at 6:26 PM - Bill Monroe: not much.. just finished the lecture grind.. now to atack the asignments.. I got a string feeling i'm not going to get them done in time
May 9, 2015 at 6:26 PM - Bill Monroe: strong
May 9, 2015 at 6:41 PM - jbigler1986: Measured 150mm of filament and extruded 100. Measured 56mm left. Should I worry about changing the steps?
May 9, 2015 at 6:42 PM - Bill Monroe: i dont know what method you're using... tell it to extrude 100 and measure what it did
    May 9, 2015 at 6:42 PM - jbigler1986: Toms method
May 9, 2015 at 6:43 PM - Bill Monroe: tom who?
    May 9, 2015 at 6:43 PM - jbigler1986: Told it 100 and it extruded 94
May 9, 2015 at 6:43 PM - Bill Monroe: ok.. lets see
May 9, 2015 at 6:44 PM - Bill Monroe: ad 6% to whatever number is in the firmware
    May 9, 2015 at 6:44 PM - jbigler1986: 723.3
    May 9, 2015 at 6:45 PM - Bill Monroe: 767
    May 9, 2015 at 6:47 PM - jbigler1986: Deal
    May 9, 2015 at 6:48 PM - jbigler1986: Give me a minute
    May 9, 2015 at 6:50 PM - Bill Monroe: k
May 9, 2015 at 6:52 PM - Mike Glass: DId you put a new extruder on?
May 9, 2015 at 6:53 PM - Bill Monroe: I tried to, but they didnt have my size
May 9, 2015 at 6:53 PM - Mike Glass: not extender, extruder
May 9, 2015 at 6:53 PM - TechSupportGo: dual 40mm fans here we come!!! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8FWeUGKaHaxMlVfbnB6dkVjRDQ/view?usp=sharing
May 9, 2015 at 6:54 PM - Bill Monroe: now that's multi tasking
May 9, 2015 at 6:54 PM - Mike Glass: too much fan will stopyour nozzle from extruding though
May 9, 2015 at 6:55 PM - TechSupportGo: it should be just the right size to fit inside the housing of the robo up high
May 9, 2015 at 6:55 PM - Bill Monroe: that's what my urologist said
May 9, 2015 at 6:55 PM - TechSupportGo: hopefully its pointed below the nozzle
May 9, 2015 at 6:56 PM - TechSupportGo: I will test it lol.. I am thinking it will work nicely with my existing dual fan mount
May 9, 2015 at 6:56 PM - Mike Glass: Are you still on hex Tech?
    May 9, 2015 at 6:56 PM - TechSupportGo: yep
    May 9, 2015 at 6:57 PM - jbigler1986: MG, we're u asking me about the extruder?
May 9, 2015 at 6:57 PM - TechSupportGo: stock pretty much minus the dual fan mount
May 9, 2015 at 6:57 PM - Mike Glass: Yea JB
    May 9, 2015 at 6:57 PM - jbigler1986: Oh. Nvm
May 9, 2015 at 6:58 PM - TechSupportGo: does robo plan to continue using hex on their stock?
May 9, 2015 at 6:58 PM - Mike Glass: Thing about hex it sits so low
    May 9, 2015 at 6:58 PM - Droid: jbigler, 723.3X100 = 72330, 72330/94=769.46 therefore new steps/mm is 769.46
    May 9, 2015 at 6:58 PM - jbigler1986: Yeah I put on my other v6 I had.
May 9, 2015 at 6:58 PM - Mike Glass: unless you use v6 nozzles on it, then not to bad.
May 9, 2015 at 6:59 PM - TechSupportGo: I know there is little tolerance in the design
May 9, 2015 at 7:00 PM - Mike Glass: why do you have to calibrate? never even tried that before
May 9, 2015 at 7:00 PM - Bill Monroe:
    May 9, 2015 at 7:01 PM - jbigler1986: It was extruding horribly
May 9, 2015 at 7:01 PM - Mike Glass: mine runs so good right now, Im not touching it
May 9, 2015 at 7:02 PM - jbigler1986: Yeah there is a clog somewhere in my other v6
May 9, 2015 at 7:03 PM - jbigler1986: Gonna let it soak overnight
May 9, 2015 at 7:05 PM - jbigler1986: Got a hex that I can throw on if ever needed as well
May 9, 2015 at 7:05 PM - Mike Glass: spare parts are a must
May 9, 2015 at 7:08 PM - jbigler1986: Yep. Test cube printing now
    May 9, 2015 at 7:18 PM - jbigler1986: Looks great so far
May 9, 2015 at 7:20 PM - daniel871: Welp, Protopasta's Stainless Steel is a bitch to print with.
May 9, 2015 at 7:20 PM - Mike Glass: do you have a SS nozzle?
May 9, 2015 at 7:21 PM - daniel871: Had the 3DBenchy thing about halfway thru when the filament snapped off at the reel.
May 9, 2015 at 7:21 PM - daniel871: Or rather, at the slot in the top of the robo where the filament was feeding thru.
May 9, 2015 at 7:21 PM - daniel871: (was printing great up until that point)
May 9, 2015 at 7:22 PM - Mike Glass: brittle?
    May 9, 2015 at 7:22 PM - daniel871: Very.
May 9, 2015 at 7:23 PM - Mike Glass: hmm, wonder what the ratio is of the ss powder
May 9, 2015 at 7:23 PM - daniel871: Going to have to clean out the extruder where filament snapped off flush with the PTFE tube inside it.
May 9, 2015 at 7:24 PM - daniel871: They claim 20% PLA, the rest SST powder.
May 9, 2015 at 7:24 PM - Mike Glass: that bites
May 9, 2015 at 7:24 PM - daniel871: Yeah, basically have to remove and re-install the hotend.
May 9, 2015 at 7:27 PM - jbigler1986: Been there done that lots of times.

    May 9, 2015 at 7:27 PM - jbigler1986: No biggie anymore
May 9, 2015 at 7:27 PM - daniel871: If the top cover wasn't supporting the smooth rods on the Z-axis, I'd take that off and see if I could fish some other filament thru the extruder while the hotend was cranked up to 260 or something. Did that and what was in the hotend ran out like liquid, but couldn't push what was in the extruder PTFE tube thru the hotend to clear it out.
May 9, 2015 at 7:28 PM - TechSupportGo: if my calculations are correct the two 40mm fans will only consume 1.21 gigawatts of electricity and send my parts through time at approximately 86 miles per hour. we shall see
    May 9, 2015 at 7:28 PM - Mike Kelly: 88
May 9, 2015 at 7:28 PM - daniel871: Might need to check that math, because my calculations say that you won't start to see some serious shit until 88.
    May 9, 2015 at 7:29 PM - TechSupportGo: boom
May 9, 2015 at 7:29 PM - Droid: did you install he Mr. Fusion ontop correctly?
May 9, 2015 at 7:29 PM - TechSupportGo: see you guys like 10 minutes ago! Peace out :)
May 9, 2015 at 7:29 PM - Mike Glass: The Mr. Fusion is a farse, I installed one and it did squat
May 9, 2015 at 7:30 PM - daniel871: All the cool kids are using the steam-powered flux capacitor.

May 9, 2015 at 7:31 PM - Droid: you gotta burn those presto wood logs with the steampowered one though.
May 9, 2015 at 7:31 PM - Mike Glass: My friend that just got the Phantom 3 pro, won $1600 the other night, so his drone is now paid for..ugg
May 9, 2015 at 7:31 PM - jbigler1986: MK got it all wired up. You will be glad to know my spider Web of wires doesn't exist anymore

    May 9, 2015 at 7:50 PM - jbigler1986: Back in business. 25mm cube. Stopped it a little over halfway. X is 25mm exactly. Y is 25.02.
May 9, 2015 at 7:51 PM - jbigler1986: Corners looks great. Faces are super smooth. Few days of headaches. Glad to be back to awesome prints again
May 9, 2015 at 7:55 PM - Mike Kelly: for sure
May 9, 2015 at 7:56 PM - jbigler1986: you have all 4 printers working now?

May 9, 2015 at 7:58 PM - jbigler1986: Does that look better. Lol

May 9, 2015 at 8:02 PM - jbigler1986: Finally spent the time to do it. Was annoying the wife but I was to far into it
May 9, 2015 at 8:04 PM - Mike Kelly: a lighter or torch is good at preventing fraying on the end
May 9, 2015 at 8:04 PM - Mike Glass: and heat shrink
May 9, 2015 at 8:05 PM - Mike Kelly: also true

    May 9, 2015 at 8:07 PM - Mike Kelly: i think so
May 9, 2015 at 8:10 PM - jbigler1986: I wouldn't use a dremel on something I spend that much time and effort on
May 9, 2015 at 8:12 PM - Mike Kelly: what
May 9, 2015 at 8:13 PM - Mike Glass: Why
    May 9, 2015 at 8:13 PM - Mike Glass: like putting a 3 cylinder in a lambo
    May 9, 2015 at 8:13 PM - jbigler1986: Holy hell
May 9, 2015 at 8:15 PM - Mike Glass: almost runs as fast as the bobcat..lol
May 9, 2015 at 8:17 PM - jbigler1986: Wonder what speed that is
May 9, 2015 at 8:17 PM - Mike Glass: insane

May 9, 2015 at 8:23 PM - jbigler1986: 32 hours with .6 nozzle. Wow.looks like he paused and changed filament unless he has dual
    May 9, 2015 at 8:23 PM - jbigler1986: Looks awesome though
May 9, 2015 at 8:24 PM - Mike Glass: I would still put my robo against it.
May 9, 2015 at 8:26 PM - jbigler1986: How did the 3dbenchy text come out on the back?
May 9, 2015 at 8:29 PM - Mike Glass: in the pictures I took it looks fairly good. not sure you can actually read it.

May 9, 2015 at 11:43 PM - Les Hall: hey anyone here?
May 9, 2015 at 11:44 PM - Les Hall: I am so invigorated! Watched a fantastic church sermon tonight
May 10, 2015 at 12:26 AM - TechSupportGo: Happy mothers day!!
    May 10, 2015 at 2:50 AM - TechSupportGo: call your mom :)
    May 10, 2015 at 4:25 AM - jbigler1986: Morning fellas
May 10, 2015 at 4:59 AM - Les Hall: good morning
May 10, 2015 at 5:00 AM - Les Hall: hi jbig
May 10, 2015 at 5:06 AM - Bill Monroe: gooooood morning
    May 10, 2015 at 6:09 AM - jbigler1986: sorry. hi les
    May 10, 2015 at 6:09 AM - jbigler1986: Bill!
May 10, 2015 at 6:09 AM - Bill Monroe: jb!
May 10, 2015 at 6:10 AM - Bill Monroe: glad you're here.. what are you using for steps on your Z now?
    May 10, 2015 at 6:10 AM - jbigler1986: 400
May 10, 2015 at 6:10 AM - Bill Monroe: perfect
May 10, 2015 at 6:11 AM - Bill Monroe: doing the math, I came up with 420 so I'm in the zone
    May 10, 2015 at 6:11 AM - jbigler1986: yep
May 10, 2015 at 6:12 AM - jbigler1986: finally got my printer back to beautiful print
May 10, 2015 at 6:15 AM - Bill Monroe: did you figure out why it went south?
May 10, 2015 at 6:15 AM - jbigler1986: clog in heat break somewhere is my assumption. installed my other v6 i had and it prints perfect
May 10, 2015 at 6:16 AM - Bill Monroe: nice
May 10, 2015 at 6:16 AM - jbigler1986: so it's soaking in acetone right now
May 10, 2015 at 6:16 AM - Bill Monroe: when I pulled my chimera off yesterday, I discovered filament just north of the heat break wedged in tight w/nothing going into the nozzle
May 10, 2015 at 6:17 AM - Bill Monroe: confirms my feeling that thier heatsink is way too small and heat transfer from the break is poor
May 10, 2015 at 6:23 AM - jbigler1986: E3d is a good company. You would have thought they figured that out
    May 10, 2015 at 6:24 AM - jbigler1986: [IMG]
May 10, 2015 at 6:24 AM - jbigler1986: After changing hotend. Best one I have done so far
May 10, 2015 at 6:27 AM - Bill Monroe: ya.. chimera will actually do good prints under certain conditions.. but anything with retractions or filaments with more ooze than most becomg dicey
May 10, 2015 at 6:27 AM - Bill Monroe: what filament is the red boat?
    May 10, 2015 at 6:34 AM - jbigler1986: Hatchbox
May 10, 2015 at 6:46 AM - Bill Monroe: i think I have some Hatchbox Black
May 10, 2015 at 6:47 AM - Bill Monroe: OK, printer is ready I think.. time to do a small airprint
May 10, 2015 at 6:55 AM - Les Hall: hey
May 10, 2015 at 6:56 AM - Les Hall: there's one minor issue with 3D Benchy: it floats on it's side!
May 10, 2015 at 6:57 AM - Bill Monroe: ballast
May 10, 2015 at 6:58 AM - Bill Monroe: E3D has a great single nozzles design by hey, even Ford had its Pinto :)
    May 10, 2015 at 7:02 AM - jbigler1986: Lol.
May 10, 2015 at 7:02 AM - jbigler1986: Bill did you just swap rods or install the steppers and rods
May 10, 2015 at 7:06 AM - Bill Monroe: I did exactly what you did because, I want to be just like you
May 10, 2015 at 7:07 AM - Bill Monroe: i did discover that the magnet mass is less on the rodded units.. means less torque but, still more than enough
May 10, 2015 at 7:07 AM - Bill Monroe: and I had to add a wavy washer stack to make up the difference so as to prevent the screw from moving up and down
    May 10, 2015 at 7:13 AM - Bill Monroe: http://ustre.am/1o197
May 10, 2015 at 7:15 AM - jbigler1986: Mine moved up and down a tiny bit. Once the bearing and stuff was added it didn't move at all anymore
May 10, 2015 at 7:18 AM - jbigler1986: You keep your bed so clean
May 10, 2015 at 7:19 AM - Bill Monroe: ya, I try to
May 10, 2015 at 7:19 AM - Bill Monroe: just discovered the parts fas isnt running.. not the fan so, check firmware and connections :)
    May 10, 2015 at 7:32 AM - jbigler1986: Get on it
May 10, 2015 at 7:33 AM - Bill Monroe: already on it.. looks like the cheap-ass Geeeteck fan extender board has blown... again...
May 10, 2015 at 8:01 AM - Mike Glass: whats up gents
    May 10, 2015 at 8:01 AM - Bill Monroe: S&P
    May 10, 2015 at 8:02 AM - Mike Glass: 2.0 with you?
May 10, 2015 at 8:02 AM - Bill Monroe: yup!
May 10, 2015 at 8:02 AM - Bill Monroe: she's cleaning the Jacuzzi
May 10, 2015 at 8:03 AM - Mike Glass: did you guys do naughty things?
May 10, 2015 at 8:03 AM - Bill Monroe: what, you writing a book? :)
    May 10, 2015 at 8:04 AM - jbigler1986: Lol
May 10, 2015 at 8:04 AM - Mike Glass: write, I can barely read
May 10, 2015 at 8:04 AM - Bill Monroe: must be a democrat
May 10, 2015 at 8:04 AM - Mike Glass: not even that
May 10, 2015 at 8:15 AM - Les Hall: hey
May 10, 2015 at 8:16 AM - Les Hall: i slept and slept
May 10, 2015 at 8:21 AM - Bill Monroe: Fan Problem SOlved
May 10, 2015 at 8:26 AM - Les Hall: that sounds like a good thing
    May 10, 2015 at 8:45 AM - Bill Monroe: http://ustre.am/1o197
May 10, 2015 at 8:45 AM - Bill Monroe: first layer is too high, but I'm going to let it got for this print
May 10, 2015 at 8:50 AM - Les Hall: looks good on the silver screen
    May 10, 2015 at 8:52 AM - jbigler1986: Looking good
May 10, 2015 at 8:52 AM - jbigler1986: Printed another bolt and nut Bill. Needed it for my sons toy
May 10, 2015 at 8:58 AM - Bill Monroe: showoff
    May 10, 2015 at 8:58 AM - Bill Monroe: :)

May 10, 2015 at 9:05 AM - Mike Glass: what was that?
May 10, 2015 at 9:11 AM - jbigler1986: Damn. Hate when that happens
    May 10, 2015 at 9:20 AM - Mike Kelly: it's a prototype i'm working on
    May 10, 2015 at 9:20 AM - Mike Kelly: was a 14 hour print as well :(
May 10, 2015 at 9:22 AM - mark tomlinson: something about snoozing and loosing (but bummer)
May 10, 2015 at 9:23 AM - mark tomlinson: that sux
May 10, 2015 at 9:35 AM - Mike Kelly: i really want some kind of vision sensing camera that can look at the model and determine if it's printing "correctly" and cancel the print if it goes catastrophic
    May 10, 2015 at 9:41 AM - jbigler1986: That's asking a lot
May 10, 2015 at 9:46 AM - jbigler1986: Filament sensor would have stopped it probably
May 10, 2015 at 9:51 AM - mark tomlinson: nope, but I like Mikes camera idea. Hard, but not impossible
May 10, 2015 at 9:57 AM - Mike Kelly: whywould a filament sensor have stopped it? it was still printing
May 10, 2015 at 10:48 AM - jbigler1986: Doubt it was extruding correctly
May 10, 2015 at 10:53 AM - jbigler1986: Maybe it was still pulling filament
May 10, 2015 at 11:09 AM - Bill Monroe: there..
May 10, 2015 at 11:09 AM - Bill Monroe: My robo is back online too
May 10, 2015 at 11:33 AM - jbigler1986: How is is it working for you
May 10, 2015 at 11:39 AM - Bill Monroe: improved
May 10, 2015 at 11:39 AM - Bill Monroe: better corners,, move even overall
May 10, 2015 at 11:40 AM - Bill Monroe: quieter
May 10, 2015 at 11:40 AM - Mike Glass: but is it sexier
May 10, 2015 at 11:40 AM - Bill Monroe: as compared too......
    May 10, 2015 at 11:41 AM - Mike Glass: UM2
May 10, 2015 at 11:41 AM - Bill Monroe: no comparison
May 10, 2015 at 11:42 AM - Mike Glass: I would love one, but little out of my price range
May 10, 2015 at 11:42 AM - Mike Glass: that nea for $1100 looks really tempting
May 10, 2015 at 11:42 AM - Bill Monroe: bah... youd be better off making one... much better results and bigger too

    May 10, 2015 at 11:43 AM - jbigler1986: But more work
    May 10, 2015 at 11:44 AM - Bill Monroe: that's is true
May 10, 2015 at 11:44 AM - Bill Monroe: along with more satisfaction
    May 10, 2015 at 11:44 AM - Mike Glass: they have a 14x14x15
    May 10, 2015 at 11:44 AM - jbigler1986: Also true
May 10, 2015 at 11:44 AM - Mike Glass: not sure you could even build one for that much
May 10, 2015 at 11:44 AM - Bill Monroe: how much is that?
    May 10, 2015 at 11:45 AM - Mike Glass: $1100
May 10, 2015 at 11:45 AM - Bill Monroe: link?
    May 10, 2015 at 11:45 AM - Mike Glass: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/nea-3d-stylish-upgradeable-3d-printing-for-all
May 10, 2015 at 11:45 AM - Bill Monroe: bah, another crowdfund nightmare
May 10, 2015 at 11:48 AM - Mike Glass: Im already up to $645 and thats without bearings Steppers, and rods.
May 10, 2015 at 11:50 AM - TechSupportGo: MK you could use.. what you are asking for is simple using opencv. I could write it for you but you would need a camera and an auduino uno. then you use pictures for reference from the same angle. I am sure you could polish it up and make it really user friendly. http://opencv.org/
May 10, 2015 at 11:56 AM - TechSupportGo: I had to go back to the drawing board lol.. anyone else think the tolerance is a bit tight on this design? The top of the fan housing makes this design complicated  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8FWeUGKaHaxSXlUM1RsUk5UODA/view?usp=sharing
    May 10, 2015 at 12:01 PM - jbigler1986: Honestly ducts don't help really.
May 10, 2015 at 12:04 PM - Bill Monroe: ya, what he said
May 10, 2015 at 12:06 PM - jbigler1986: Print with and without same part. Without duct looked better
    May 10, 2015 at 12:06 PM - Bill Monroe: http://ustre.am/1o197
May 10, 2015 at 12:06 PM - Bill Monroe: heh, the camera on my Robo makes the print on the table look like the opening in Star Wars Movies
May 10, 2015 at 12:08 PM - jbigler1986: I saw it for a slick second and thought it was the whole size of the bed. Lol
May 10, 2015 at 12:09 PM - Bill Monroe: well, that's the first time I threw some unknown filament on the machine and hit print.. without making any tests or changes to the setting
May 10, 2015 at 12:09 PM - Bill Monroe: seems to be perfect so far
    May 10, 2015 at 12:12 PM - jbigler1986: That's funny
May 10, 2015 at 12:17 PM - Bill Monroe: No more Chimera problems.. I'm finally free ;)
May 10, 2015 at 12:18 PM - Bill Monroe: I feel like I just got divoced from 0.9b
May 10, 2015 at 12:18 PM - jbigler1986: High five. Did you really even print dual colors or material?
May 10, 2015 at 12:18 PM - Bill Monroe: once
May 10, 2015 at 12:19 PM - Bill Monroe: getting/keeping the nozzles perfectly even was impossible
    May 10, 2015 at 12:19 PM - jbigler1986: Ha. Yeah I don't think I would use dual
May 10, 2015 at 12:20 PM - Bill Monroe: i gotta plan I'm sure will work, but not on the robo
May 10, 2015 at 12:21 PM - jbigler1986: Anybody here have duals working without issues
May 10, 2015 at 12:22 PM - Bill Monroe: a couple have claimed to, but failed to show anything
May 10, 2015 at 12:23 PM - Bill Monroe: the cyclops is better but it has it's own issues.. and can only print like materals
May 10, 2015 at 12:26 PM - jbigler1986: No thanks. To much of a pain
    May 10, 2015 at 12:27 PM - jbigler1986: Wonder if I could print a m4 bolt.
May 10, 2015 at 12:28 PM - Bill Monroe: if you could, we would all be unworthy
May 10, 2015 at 12:28 PM - Bill Monroe: i dont even think my strat could do a decent M4
May 10, 2015 at 12:29 PM - Bill Monroe: well. we could we config it I suppose.. but then it waout take forever to do anything
May 10, 2015 at 12:29 PM - Bill Monroe: now that I got all that ducting out of the way, the cideo dont look bad at all
May 10, 2015 at 12:29 PM - jbigler1986: My spring loaded m4 is a little to long. If it was coarse threads it might me ok
    May 10, 2015 at 12:30 PM - jbigler1986: Cideo = video?
May 10, 2015 at 12:30 PM - Bill Monroe: heh ya
May 10, 2015 at 12:30 PM - Bill Monroe: lots of nice colors
May 10, 2015 at 12:30 PM - jbigler1986: About to print a regular one and see what happens. Why not
May 10, 2015 at 12:31 PM - Bill Monroe: go for it
May 10, 2015 at 12:31 PM - Bill Monroe: I'll get my kneeling pillow ready
    May 10, 2015 at 12:31 PM - jbigler1986: Yeah I wouldn't. Lol
May 10, 2015 at 12:32 PM - Bill Monroe: ya never know... 2.0 is here.. might be useful :)
May 10, 2015 at 12:35 PM - jbigler1986: About to start it. Gonna do .08 height
May 10, 2015 at 12:39 PM - jbigler1986: Heating up. Hopefully it sticks and I don't need to add a brim
    May 10, 2015 at 12:42 PM - jbigler1986: Cross my fingers
    May 10, 2015 at 12:44 PM - jbigler1986: It stuck
May 10, 2015 at 12:46 PM - Bill Monroe: when you've had a snack of fresh hot Cashews, you know there must be a god.
May 10, 2015 at 12:47 PM - TechSupportGo: the duct is absolutely necessary, unless you have another way of mounting dual 40mm fans
May 10, 2015 at 12:47 PM - Bill Monroe: dual fans are unnecessary
May 10, 2015 at 12:48 PM - Bill Monroe: but there are ways to mount them, no problemo
May 10, 2015 at 12:48 PM - TechSupportGo: please elaborate
May 10, 2015 at 12:49 PM - Bill Monroe: there are several ways to mount more than a single fan without using any ducting, without any problems
May 10, 2015 at 12:49 PM - jbigler1986: Use MK dual fan holder.
May 10, 2015 at 12:49 PM - TechSupportGo: mounting it directly to the fan mount results in the fan housing extruding below the nozzle about 10mm..
May 10, 2015 at 12:50 PM - Bill Monroe: negative
May 10, 2015 at 12:50 PM - jbigler1986: I'm using the same one just modified to work on the v6 hotend
May 10, 2015 at 12:50 PM - TechSupportGo: they are designed for 20mm fans
May 10, 2015 at 12:50 PM - TechSupportGo: hex stock
May 10, 2015 at 12:50 PM - Bill Monroe: Ive got a 40 blowing right now
    May 10, 2015 at 12:50 PM - jbigler1986: I have dual 40mm fans on right now
May 10, 2015 at 12:50 PM - Bill Monroe: .... and before jb jumps on that.. 2.0 is 38 :)
May 10, 2015 at 12:50 PM - TechSupportGo: show me
    May 10, 2015 at 12:51 PM - jbigler1986: Ok
May 10, 2015 at 12:51 PM - Bill Monroe: TSG is in Missouri
May 10, 2015 at 12:51 PM - TechSupportGo: you fan is most likely 40x40x10 mine is 40x40x20
    May 10, 2015 at 12:52 PM - TechSupportGo: hahahah
    May 10, 2015 at 12:52 PM - TechSupportGo: i will show you
May 10, 2015 at 12:52 PM - Bill Monroe: look: http://ustre.am/1o197 one fan, no problem
    May 10, 2015 at 12:53 PM - jbigler1986: You didn't specify the fan dimensions
    May 10, 2015 at 12:53 PM - jbigler1986: Why not just get 2 normal 40mm fans
    May 10, 2015 at 12:54 PM - jbigler1986: Bill threads don't look terrible
May 10, 2015 at 12:55 PM - Bill Monroe: why thanks.. I went cothing shopping last night
May 10, 2015 at 12:55 PM - Bill Monroe: clothing
    May 10, 2015 at 12:55 PM - jbigler1986: Haha
May 10, 2015 at 12:56 PM - jbigler1986: I shit you not. I think it will be usuable
May 10, 2015 at 12:56 PM - Bill Monroe: i should try it now that I have jbiglerized my robo
May 10, 2015 at 12:56 PM - Bill Monroe: but I opted for a more conservative fannage solution
May 10, 2015 at 12:56 PM - jbigler1986: You should. I have to use cura on the nuts and bolts. S3d doesn't like them
May 10, 2015 at 12:56 PM - Bill Monroe: really?
    May 10, 2015 at 12:57 PM - jbigler1986: Yep
May 10, 2015 at 12:57 PM - Bill Monroe: this escapment wheel is coming out *damn* nice
May 10, 2015 at 12:58 PM - Bill Monroe: how much retraction do you use?
    May 10, 2015 at 12:58 PM - jbigler1986: 4.5mm
May 10, 2015 at 12:59 PM - Bill Monroe: wow
    May 10, 2015 at 12:59 PM - jbigler1986: Speed 40mm
May 10, 2015 at 12:59 PM - Bill Monroe: ya, I know you liked to retract at lusicrous speed
May 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM - Bill Monroe: err ludicrous
    May 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM - jbigler1986: [IMG]
May 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM - Bill Monroe: nice
May 10, 2015 at 1:01 PM - Bill Monroe: aha!
    May 10, 2015 at 1:01 PM - jbigler1986: looks good so far
May 10, 2015 at 1:02 PM - Bill Monroe: there's a jet ranger at the airport that says KVWM channel 4 on it, but there's no channel like that around here...
May 10, 2015 at 1:02 PM - Bill Monroe: just found out it's the one they used on Anchor Man :)
    May 10, 2015 at 1:04 PM - jbigler1986: Love those 2 movies

May 10, 2015 at 1:05 PM - Bill Monroe: my daughter was in High School when the first one came out.. she and all her freinds used to pile into my family room to watch it
May 10, 2015 at 1:05 PM - Bill Monroe: that, and Lost.
May 10, 2015 at 1:06 PM - jbigler1986: Have yet to watch any lost
May 10, 2015 at 1:06 PM - Bill Monroe: it was OK.. but the kids were totally in to it
May 10, 2015 at 1:07 PM - Bill Monroe: it came on at 9 on a school night.. I had a deal with her that all her homework was to be done and all her freinds too.
May 10, 2015 at 1:08 PM - Bill Monroe: a major part of it had to do with expermintal medical research and a series of numbers.. I bought them all scrubs and had the number silk screened on them.. gave them out at a season premier episode.. 52 kidss.. what a riot that was
May 10, 2015 at 1:09 PM - Bill Monroe: my neighborhood had parent cars double parked at 10 to pick them up.. they all walked out looking like the had uniforms on.. what a sight
May 10, 2015 at 1:12 PM - jbigler1986: Lol father of the year
May 10, 2015 at 1:13 PM - Bill Monroe: i sure miss having my kids here
May 10, 2015 at 1:14 PM - Bill Monroe: she and all her freinds were amazing.. most were honor students.. all went to college
May 10, 2015 at 1:14 PM - Bill Monroe: there were all Band kids
May 10, 2015 at 1:15 PM - Bill Monroe: walmart sells scrubs uber-cheap
    May 10, 2015 at 1:15 PM - jbigler1986: Never checked
May 10, 2015 at 1:17 PM - Bill Monroe: 2.0 wears them when she makes soap
    May 10, 2015 at 1:18 PM - Bill Monroe: .................... and nothing else......... :)
May 10, 2015 at 1:20 PM - Bill Monroe: this wheel looks like a production part
    May 10, 2015 at 1:22 PM - jbigler1986: Ready for it Bill
    May 10, 2015 at 1:23 PM - Bill Monroe: I'm not sure :)

    May 10, 2015 at 1:24 PM - Bill Monroe: git a nut?
May 10, 2015 at 1:24 PM - Bill Monroe: err got a nut?
May 10, 2015 at 1:25 PM - jbigler1986: About to print one. I do have some regular ones.
    May 10, 2015 at 1:25 PM - Bill Monroe: try them1
    May 10, 2015 at 1:28 PM - jbigler1986: Started to. Then...
May 10, 2015 at 1:28 PM - Bill Monroe: uto
    May 10, 2015 at 1:28 PM - jbigler1986: [IMG]
May 10, 2015 at 1:29 PM - Bill Monroe: aww too bad
    May 10, 2015 at 1:29 PM - jbigler1986: Maybe 910 could handle it
May 10, 2015 at 1:30 PM - jbigler1986: Oh well. Threads looks pretty good though
May 10, 2015 at 1:31 PM - Bill Monroe: yup
May 10, 2015 at 1:31 PM - jbigler1986: So can you see an improvement with the rods?
May 10, 2015 at 1:32 PM - Bill Monroe: ya, a little.. there's a noticable increase in smooth operation and reduction in noise
May 10, 2015 at 1:34 PM - jbigler1986: Yeah. Glad Robo is starting to include them in the robo r1 soon
May 10, 2015 at 1:34 PM - Bill Monroe: I spent a bit of time working the old carriage so that I could arrange the parts in such a way so the nozzle was easy to see.. that was worth the effort
May 10, 2015 at 1:35 PM - jbigler1986: Not sure what I want to print now
May 10, 2015 at 1:54 PM - Bill Monroe: have you weighted the x axis to balance out the stepper drive motor?
    May 10, 2015 at 2:07 PM - jbigler1986: I have not
    May 10, 2015 at 2:07 PM - jbigler1986: That's a good idea
May 10, 2015 at 2:08 PM - Wraith: anyone have the matter control tablet with the r1? I have a question
May 10, 2015 at 2:09 PM - Bill Monroe: ok.. Design a box that can hold nuts or bullets or something kinda heavy, so that it can hang or clip to the left-hand carriage part
    May 10, 2015 at 2:09 PM - jbigler1986: No way would I buy that
    May 10, 2015 at 2:10 PM - jbigler1986: We don't like mattercontrol around here
May 10, 2015 at 2:10 PM - jbigler1986: Where would it clip to Bill
    May 10, 2015 at 2:10 PM - Wraith: thanks you've been a great help
    May 10, 2015 at 2:11 PM - jbigler1986: Sorry
May 10, 2015 at 2:11 PM - jbigler1986: Try over at matter hackers forum
May 10, 2015 at 2:12 PM - Bill Monroe: maybe a hook that hangs between the rods?
May 10, 2015 at 2:12 PM - Bill Monroe: on the outside
May 10, 2015 at 2:13 PM - Bill Monroe: i'm going to do it if you dont.. but since you wanted something to print :)
May 10, 2015 at 2:13 PM - jbigler1986: Hmmm. Let me look at where it could go
May 10, 2015 at 2:14 PM - jbigler1986: Only good and safe place I see is to hang it off of the idler pully nut
May 10, 2015 at 2:16 PM - Bill Monroe: naw... dont touch my nuts
May 10, 2015 at 2:16 PM - jbigler1986: Wait I see where you are talking about
    May 10, 2015 at 2:16 PM - Bill Monroe: <hi5>
May 10, 2015 at 2:17 PM - Bill Monroe: i've got like 5000+ 9mm bullets, I was planning on using either those or lead shot
    May 10, 2015 at 2:18 PM - jbigler1986: [IMG]
    May 10, 2015 at 2:18 PM - jbigler1986: There?
May 10, 2015 at 2:18 PM - Bill Monroe: exactly
May 10, 2015 at 2:18 PM - Bill Monroe: hanging off the outside, out of the way
May 10, 2015 at 2:19 PM - Bill Monroe: wait.. these are .45
May 10, 2015 at 2:19 PM - Bill Monroe: total weight needs to be 9.5 oz
    May 10, 2015 at 2:21 PM - Bill Monroe: 19 bullets
May 10, 2015 at 2:21 PM - jbigler1986: Well if you beat me to designing it care to share it?
May 10, 2015 at 2:21 PM - Bill Monroe: i'm gunna let you do it
May 10, 2015 at 2:21 PM - jbigler1986: I'm cooking chicken scallopini at the moment
    May 10, 2015 at 2:22 PM - Bill Monroe: I'm doing homework :)
    May 10, 2015 at 2:22 PM - jbigler1986: Is the weight necessary
May 10, 2015 at 2:22 PM - jbigler1986: Also you gotta take in the weight of the pully
May 10, 2015 at 2:22 PM - Bill Monroe: dunno... that's why I want to do it so it will hang, can be removed or modified easily
May 10, 2015 at 2:22 PM - jbigler1986: So might not need as much weight as you think
May 10, 2015 at 2:22 PM - Bill Monroe: yup
    May 10, 2015 at 2:35 PM - TechSupportGo: hi
May 10, 2015 at 2:36 PM - TechSupportGo: bill, fly to texas and pick me up in your plane
May 10, 2015 at 2:44 PM - Mike Glass: wazabi tech
    May 10, 2015 at 2:48 PM - TechSupportGo: yolo
    May 10, 2015 at 2:52 PM - jbigler1986: Hola
May 10, 2015 at 2:52 PM - jbigler1986: Got my printer back in shape
May 10, 2015 at 2:57 PM - Mike Kelly: tsg since my camera is at a more or less fixed point you think it's possible to have it generate a 3d view and use OpenCV to monitor?
May 10, 2015 at 2:58 PM - Mike Kelly: jb did you want my counter weight
May 10, 2015 at 3:08 PM - Bill Monroe: why? dont you like Texas?
May 10, 2015 at 3:09 PM - TechSupportGo: I have been thinking about it, it will be more complicated than originally thought. you have to have a comparison pic for every step along the way or it will assume your print is messed up.
May 10, 2015 at 3:11 PM - Mike Kelly: ah
May 10, 2015 at 3:20 PM - TechSupportGo: you can stream to ustream and just check it from your phone every once and a while then use phone my pc to stop the print if there is a problem. thats what I used to do.
May 10, 2015 at 3:27 PM - jbigler1986: MK does the weight have any effect
    May 10, 2015 at 3:30 PM - jbigler1986: Did you see my M4 bolt
May 10, 2015 at 3:43 PM - jbigler1986: MK are you still sending the bowden adapter?
May 10, 2015 at 3:54 PM - jbigler1986: I just use team viewer if I need to stop a print. Although I rarely have my printer connected to my laptop though.
May 10, 2015 at 4:01 PM - Shank: what would be the reasons for layers not sticking to each other?
May 10, 2015 at 4:05 PM - jbigler1986: Low heat. Turn up the temperature
May 10, 2015 at 4:06 PM - TechSupportGo: I am having the same problem I think.. Any suggestions? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8FWeUGKaHaxb3R6ZUFGY1dLRk0/view?usp=sharing
May 10, 2015 at 4:07 PM - Shank: Thanks jb
May 10, 2015 at 4:07 PM - Mike Kelly: more cooling!
May 10, 2015 at 4:07 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah i am JB i need to remember to do that
    May 10, 2015 at 4:07 PM - jbigler1986: No problem. I'm not in a hurry. Just wondering
May 10, 2015 at 4:07 PM - Mike Kelly: i saw your M4 bolt, ain't no way you can put a nylok nut on a printed bolt :)
May 10, 2015 at 4:08 PM - jbigler1986: Well it didn't even get that far into the nut before it snapped
May 10, 2015 at 4:09 PM - Mike Kelly: ouch
    May 10, 2015 at 4:09 PM - jbigler1986: I could probably print a M4 nut and scale it up a tiny bit
May 10, 2015 at 4:10 PM - jbigler1986: I was just surprised that the threads came out good

May 10, 2015 at 4:19 PM - jbigler1986: MK your turn for the upgrade. Lol
    May 10, 2015 at 4:21 PM - Mike Kelly: maybe for the 1.6 :)
May 10, 2015 at 4:29 PM - jbigler1986: Well since robo will be coming with it stock that's a good idea
May 10, 2015 at 4:35 PM - jbigler1986: I might buy another when they release it with that
May 10, 2015 at 4:36 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah i need to hold off buying anything for a bit
May 10, 2015 at 4:36 PM - Mike Kelly: those bondtech weren't cheap
May 10, 2015 at 4:36 PM - Mike Kelly: gonna try ABS on the 1.6
May 10, 2015 at 4:37 PM - jbigler1986: Trying to find this damn paper organizer that i printed from thingiverse a few months ago. Don't feel like designing it right now
May 10, 2015 at 4:37 PM - Mike Kelly: curious how it'll do without an enclosure
May 10, 2015 at 4:40 PM - jbigler1986: Warps like crazy for me
May 10, 2015 at 4:42 PM - Mike Kelly: what methods did you try
May 10, 2015 at 4:44 PM - jbigler1986: Nothing to crazy. Hairspray, glue stick, 8mm of brim. Bed all the way up to 90
May 10, 2015 at 4:46 PM - Mike Kelly: ever try a raft?
May 10, 2015 at 4:48 PM - jbigler1986: I did on the Up Mini. Don't think I tried on the robo
May 10, 2015 at 5:16 PM - Printed Solid: hey guys
    May 10, 2015 at 5:16 PM - mark tomlinson: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
May 10, 2015 at 5:17 PM - Printed Solid: Trying to figure out what that symbol means...
May 10, 2015 at 5:17 PM - Printed Solid: I really don't want to get back to work.
May 10, 2015 at 5:18 PM - mark tomlinson: That is a bummer
May 10, 2015 at 5:18 PM - Printed Solid: really not sure how I am going to get up for work tomorrow!
May 10, 2015 at 5:18 PM - Printed Solid: first world problems.
    May 10, 2015 at 5:18 PM - jbigler1986: Question. If I change nozzle to .8 should i change top/bottom thickness too?
    May 10, 2015 at 5:19 PM - jbigler1986: and welcome back Matt
    May 10, 2015 at 5:19 PM - Printed Solid: if you want a different to/bottom thickness :)
May 10, 2015 at 5:19 PM - Printed Solid: thanks
May 10, 2015 at 5:19 PM - mark tomlinson: The width would not make a huge difference to the thicknesses
    May 10, 2015 at 5:20 PM - jbigler1986: so 1.2 should be fine
May 10, 2015 at 5:22 PM - mark tomlinson: Sure, unless you want thicker :)
May 10, 2015 at 5:22 PM - Mike Glass: Hey Matt, question for you. I got some bridge from you, but keep having failed prints, is the stock robo capable of printing bridge?
May 10, 2015 at 5:24 PM - Printed Solid: it should be. The hexagon can be a bit tight sometimes though. How is it failing?
May 10, 2015 at 5:25 PM - Mike Glass: the filament gets bound in the hob, does not shred it just puts a j in it.
May 10, 2015 at 5:26 PM - Mike Glass: i run it at 245 no fan, runs for 30 min sometimes 15 no real place it fails.
May 10, 2015 at 5:26 PM - Printed Solid: It kind of sounds like the hex might be too tight for you.
May 10, 2015 at 5:26 PM - Printed Solid: Some people have run a 2mm drill bit through the hex with decent success. I think the issue is that the diameter on the heatsink is too small.
May 10, 2015 at 5:26 PM - Mike Glass: what I have printed it really like, but cant get a part finished.
May 10, 2015 at 5:26 PM - Printed Solid: have you checked diameter throughout the spool?
May 10, 2015 at 5:27 PM - Printed Solid: Taulman has been good about replacing them if they are out of spec.
    May 10, 2015 at 5:27 PM - Mike Glass: 1.74 - 1.90
May 10, 2015 at 5:29 PM - Printed Solid: yeah, it's those 190 spots that are a problem. Pretty sure it is spec'd 1.75+/-.1. Sometimes later in the batch gets a little wonky on diameter with the nylons.
May 10, 2015 at 5:29 PM - Printed Solid: Tom hates the hexagon.
    May 10, 2015 at 5:29 PM - jbigler1986: yeah hex doesn't like 1.90. experienced it myself
    May 10, 2015 at 5:30 PM - Bill Monroe: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/bills-lab
May 10, 2015 at 5:30 PM - Mike Glass: ok, will just have to wait till I get my other printer finished.
    May 10, 2015 at 5:30 PM - jbigler1986: it's past your bedtime bill
May 10, 2015 at 5:31 PM - Bill Monroe: heh ya, it is
May 10, 2015 at 5:31 PM - Bill Monroe: this homework is kicking my ass
May 10, 2015 at 5:31 PM - Mike Glass: I have run t-glase with success but not any big parts
May 10, 2015 at 5:32 PM - Bill Monroe: im running XT faster than I ever have before... and it's working beautifully
May 10, 2015 at 5:32 PM - Printed Solid: It's more an issue with the nylons than with t-glase.
May 10, 2015 at 5:32 PM - Printed Solid: even then it is just sporadic.
May 10, 2015 at 5:32 PM - Printed Solid: awesome Bill! what temps?
    May 10, 2015 at 5:33 PM - Bill Monroe: 245
    May 10, 2015 at 5:33 PM - jbigler1986: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jbigler1986
May 10, 2015 at 5:33 PM - Bill Monroe: i'm bumping it up to 250

May 10, 2015 at 5:35 PM - Printed Solid: bumping up temp will help. slowing down as well.
May 10, 2015 at 5:36 PM - Bill Monroe: slow it down?? blaphemy!

May 10, 2015 at 5:37 PM - Mike Glass: Matt you gonna be carrying the linear rods anytime?
May 10, 2015 at 5:38 PM - Mike Glass: I was going to be doing a group buy, we have 3 people so far that want them.
May 10, 2015 at 5:43 PM - Printed Solid: I could. Wasn't really planning on it. If you think you have a good source, I might be up for stocking them.
May 10, 2015 at 5:43 PM - Printed Solid: They might be a pain in the ass to ship though. They are longer than 12", right?
May 10, 2015 at 5:43 PM - Mike Glass: Hey Jb I think you should print this. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:218026
May 10, 2015 at 5:44 PM - Mike Glass: I think they are 12 total
May 10, 2015 at 5:45 PM - Printed Solid: just replacements or larger diameter>

    May 10, 2015 at 5:45 PM - Mike Glass: T8 acme threads
May 10, 2015 at 5:46 PM - Printed Solid: oh, threaded rods. I thought you meant y-axis
May 10, 2015 at 5:46 PM - Printed Solid: I was kind of thinking of stocking up on the rods that JB has used where there is no coupling.
    May 10, 2015 at 5:46 PM - jbigler1986: I should print that dragon. Haven't printed one yet
May 10, 2015 at 5:47 PM - jbigler1986: Yeah that's what he is talking about
May 10, 2015 at 5:47 PM - Mike Glass: oh yea threaded rods, should of said that
May 10, 2015 at 5:47 PM - Bill Monroe: might want to make up a white paper on how to swap them out.. it's not always a simple swap-out
May 10, 2015 at 5:47 PM - jbigler1986: Robo says they will offer it as an upgrade kit but I don't see it happening anytime soon
May 10, 2015 at 5:48 PM - Printed Solid: If you need a minimum to get to a price break, I can pick up the extra and put them in the shop if anyone wants them.
May 10, 2015 at 5:48 PM - Printed Solid: robo plus upgrade kit has been a bit rough historically!
May 10, 2015 at 5:48 PM - Mike Glass: His he had to swap the compenents with his stock steppers, the ones we are looking at are the same on Don has used on his.
May 10, 2015 at 5:48 PM - Bill Monroe: link?
May 10, 2015 at 5:49 PM - Printed Solid: I've got to run out of the room for a bit, but just let me know.

May 10, 2015 at 5:49 PM - Mike Glass: puts us at $120 shipped to the door
May 10, 2015 at 5:49 PM - Mike Glass: per set
May 10, 2015 at 5:50 PM - jbigler1986: That's pricey. Matt would have to charge to make a profit as well. Wonder if he can find them cheaper
May 10, 2015 at 5:51 PM - Mike Glass: that shipping though to your door also
May 10, 2015 at 5:52 PM - jbigler1986: Well Amazon was $97 to my door. Lok

May 10, 2015 at 5:55 PM - Mike Glass: I have an outfit I may try tomorrow and see if they can get me a better deal on shipping that the killer part.
May 10, 2015 at 5:55 PM - Printed Solid: Is there a price break over 10?
May 10, 2015 at 5:57 PM - Printed Solid: If shipping is a killer, they must be coming from OUS, right? You can fit a ton of those in a MFR box.
