These are some of the things i've been doing lately. A co-worker of mine does scifi conventions and asked if i could print him a couple prop guns for his costume. so here's some pics of them from start to finish :)

i started this one in gold ABS, i don't know why but the round cylinder things kept separating mid print. i switched to PLA and it printed much better. One thing i didn't like about it was the grip seems like it was made for baby hands, lol.

here it is after XTC-3D, primer and sanding with the second prop gun which has a man sized grip.

throw some black paint on them and all done.
the guy i made these for was very impressed and said they would work perfectly. I'm not really into the cosplay/convention scene myself, but i did learn quite a bit while making these. Oh and there's a penguin in there too that my kid painted :D once.

This is a brake light housing i made for my car. the goal is to make a clear one, but i've been practicing with red to make sure my design fits correctly.
this is the lens and housing before i glued them together.

from left to right: original brake light, the one on the car now that i made, and one i did in clear ABS that didn't turn out so hot. it was the first one i made.

thanks Mike! i'm thinking about a gauge pod for my dash, I'm surprised more people don't use these machines in the custom auto industry, lol.
