Well I am in a holding pattern on repairing this until I get a Skype from someone at Robo this coming Monday at 6:45. It appears it is not motor related but driver related. What tools should I have on hand when this wise sage calls on Monday? Should I go on and buy a ceramic screwdriver to adjust the driver? I have read enough that messing on one with a metal one will fire it all. Should I consider buying another driver? Of course I don't know if that will fix it.

Yes to a ceramic screwdriver.if you buy another driver it may also need adjustment. If you follow the directions in the video I posted for you it should be pretty easy for you to adjust yours.

Ceramic would be perfect, but some little plastic ones will work as well (I used to have a set for tuning TVs with -- don't laugh, I am old).

I got my ceramic screwdriver from Amazon today. Not something Radio Shack or Bestbuy carries at retail. And while it is a flat head and the driver Phillips I can see it turn. Tom's video told one to guess and I have been trying it at various spits and no change. What are other options? Thank you

If no matter what you do it acts up id imagine a failed stepper driver.

I just had a stepper driver go out on my Y-Axis. I first swapped plugs with one of the Z-Axis stepper motors (make sure to unplug the other one) to determine the motor itself was fine. Then I decided to swap X and Y stepper drivers, if the issues follow the driver you know the problem. Pretty quick and painless test for Stepper Motors and Drivers.
