Do you have a multimeter to measure the voltage output? Almost 99% sure you have a loose connection.

I will be getting one today to test it. I assume when i probe the black wires coming off the hotend that will tell me if its getting any current?

I'd probe them off the ramps board first to verify that it's not the board first

Just be very careful not to cause a short or else you'll damage your ramps like I did.

ok the board is lighting up with 2 leds for the bed and nozzle, but i have this yellow wire just kind of hanging there so thats probably the cause, anyone know where it goes?

It looks like on mine that the yellow wire goes to the print head. Hard to say for sure without disassembling it. It tucks up in there with the other print head wires though.

I have to say when this printer is on its mark everything turns out great! however after almost every print my Z axis is off and I have to readjust it almost everytime not sure how to fix that but it is frustrating, almost adds a routine to the printer and not a good one.

Sounds like something might still be loose. Check the drives for the threaded rods.

Yup. Unless you have to move a screw or do some maintenance, if your Z axis is set you shouldn't need to generally much with it.

Yes, that is what I meant. One of mine was not tight--you could spin the rod by hand :(

ok then yeah its not that lol, what aout the switch? mine has the part that sticks up higher (the thin piece that hits the switch) towards the back so that means it hits the lowest part of that strip.

Some of the switches were on backwards.
I think there is a thread on that (with pictures).

Mine was backwards and when I took the printer to Robo to have them help me get it to print anything, they said having it backwards didn't matter. Go figure.
