Can't get printer to connect to my computer

heres what i got

 

Right click on the unknown device and click uninstall if there's an option. Then after installing the serial driver from what i linked reconnect your usb cable.

 

didnt see a unknown device, i tried to uninstall com8. i re install the serial driver and still not connecting

Are you seeing green lights on your arduino board? Note the arduino is the one under the ramps.

Try uninstalling MC and reinstalling.

Are you positive you're on an administrator account? Did you try googling the error?

Somethings defiitely up on your PC

 

i am positive im on a administrator account. i dont have a guest account on here. when i tried to google it, it wants to look for HP printers

 

Are you on a windows 7 machine?

 

Try uninstalling everything, reinstalling the serial_driver.exe file, and then connect your printer. Don't install MC

Just keep trying different combinations of uninstalling and reinstalling the driver.

It might be helpful to enable the administrator account on your computer, log into that, then try again.

 

is it not enable?

 

Link, on Win 7 some areas are protected beyond just being logged in as administrator.

When you go to install the driver, instead of double clicking, right click it and select "Run as Administrator"

i did what the link said to do and still i cant get it to connect

 

can you try a different usb cable? Also you logged into the admin after enabling it?
