Can't get printer to connect to my computer

i tried a new USB and im still logged in as admin

 

i tried a new cable which i received two in my order but no power cable. i had a spare sitting around from a old computer

 

I mean your computer is obviously seeing the arduino so it's not faulting on that side. Something is faulty on your computer. Do you have a different one you can try?

 

this is the only computer i have. guess im going to redo this computer from the beginning

 

tried my wifes laptop and it still cant find the printer

 

You weren't saying it couldn't find the printer before. You said it was saying "access denied"

Can you post a more in depth description of your entire process of using your wifes laptop. The vagueness is not helping me help you. I need to know every step you did and what you saw. If you saw it in the device manager, etc.

Communication issues are the hardest to troubleshoot but they almost always resolve in some inexplicable manner.

 

its was trying to find the drivers on the web and it said it didnt install. her laptop is windows vista

 

Install the driver I linked.

 

right now im trying it again on my wifes laptop. im downloading the updated mattercontrol

 

its taking sometime. her laptop is slower
