fyi - mine ABS+PLA arrived last friday (order No. 1465).

 

#1651 just got my shipping confirmation PLA only

 

Update: We had also gotten some extra PLA/ABS and apparently the delay (on what they say is the last Kickstarter order) is due to the grey PLA not being in stock until Today or Tomorrow, so shipping should be by late tomorrow at the latest I hope.

 

I receive my order two weeks back, my order # 1758 for ABS+PLA model

 

I am getting worried. Sent in another email and got the following reply:

Hi Peter,

Actually I’m surprised we have not shipped your printer yet. I will have it ship tomorrow for sure. Sorry that we have not shipped it yet.
.......

I was expecting a tracking number. 2 days later and no news.

Did everyone get a tracking number before getting their delivery?

Good news/ Bad news. I got my printer and even though I ordered a PLA only, i think I got an ABS+PLA model. It has a heated bed...thats the difference right?
Bad: followed all of the steps and went to push some filament through the extruder and nothing comes out. Messed with it and i get some dribbles. It must be clogged is all I can think. but I guess my first print will have to wait a little longer

 

Haywire, what temperature were you trying to push it in at?

 

230c. It what the instructions said......I'm pretty sure. Not for normal use but when pushing through the first time....I'm gonna go recheck that.

 

Try again but this time give it a decent amount of force and make sure the tip is hitting the melt zone. You might be jamming on something before you get to it.

 

Haywiire, You may have clogged your extruder some how. Take a look at this video on cleaning it out.

 

Here's my Unboxing video. Nothing amazing and i'm still working on getting it cleaned out otherwise this would have been a unboxing and a first print video.

 

One thing for the future, our printer arrived to the depot in less than 24 hours (DHL is impressive), unfortunately it was tagged as "Printer - Gift". Which means that it is now tied up in customs until we can sort this out.

Robo, please, please, don't do that. I'm perfectly fine paying the duty required.

 

Hi Aienan, we sent as a gift because thats how all of the kick starters were processed. Since it was a donation they are technically gifts. Do you know why they are holding it up?

 

Interesting. The DHL site says "Shipment is held pending clarification of goods valuation", which is unsurprising for Canadian customs.

It's good to know about the donation thing, and that makes sense from a technical sense, but I doubt that we could convince customs that it was a donation.
