I want to install a MOSFET for the heatbed on my Robo R1+

    I've watched a couple videos.

I just want to make sure I have the wiring correct.

PSU-MOSFET-RAMPS? or directly to the bed?

Also do I need to put a fan on the MOSFET?

This is the MOSFET I ended up getting.

There's a +/- for the power in side but not for the output side. It just says heatbed.

    Thanks

The MOSFET has an input for power and an output for power and another input for control.

The two labeled hot bed will be the output to the bed heater.
The +/- DC in goes to 12v Power supply.

The control input goes to the output of the RAMPS that would normally control the bed heat.

(line up all of the +/- correctly too)

Personally I'd opt for a solid state relay instead, but this will work too.

Solid state is the way to go if you want that type of set up/higher current.

I don't see a +/- on the output of the Mosfet.

Maybe I do. Do you think that's the positive side?

@Curtis Wolfe the heating element is a pure resistive load, there is no plus or minus. It can be wired any way you like.

    That's what I suspected. Thanks
