Cool. You can edit the CONFIGURATION.H (change that line I posted) and then follow the directions to compile and upload the firmware. Download/extract/edit/upload :)

This is your firmware (RoBo3DR1V3). The one labeled ->
    ROBO R1 (Original) Firmware 3.0
    Arduino Files for firmware customization

So, I guess I'm still a little confused - am I supposed to download arduino and the autolevel firmware?

Yes. the instructions are there under "Flashing the firmware"

Essentially, download aurdino compiler. Download firmware and extract. Edit the configuration.h, open the project file in the arduino compiler. Compile. Then upload.

Sorry it is not a simple one or two-step process.
It is something you are going to want to get familiar with eventually.
You may well have other tweaks you will want to do at some point.

Novice Expert to the rescue again. You MIGHT want to subscribe to his YouTube channel.

The only thing you NEED to do from this video is understand how to do the compile and upload. You need change only the line I referenced.

You don't use MatterControl in this case. You use the Arduino software to compile and upload the changes.
It is a little more work (you have to install the Arduino software) but not seriously bad.

It is not very easy but once you get comfortable with it. Just juggling programs :) i have a notebook that i keep.notes for reference. Like what and how i changed and i always save the firmware with notes to what i change.

    Comes in handy :)

With multiple Robos and different tweaks to each it gets... ugly.Your approach is the correct one, I even just keep the modified source in different directories for each printer..

Yes you will need to exit out of any program that uses USB when flashing the firmware or you'll get communication errors, I did it too :)

I tried 90 and it did it just fine. Try to update your firmware/software to the latest version.
