Motors not working!!!

    I see. I have a couple of spools of ABS so I'd like to beat the ABS issue. I only have the small amount of PLA that came with the printer.

    blue tape being too thick is not the issue but many people do not use it at all they use a slurry mix or white glue and water or hairspray
    and then you have to worry about warping and teh print lifting and many other things
    and is the printer in a heated chamber all of these can come into play with ABS so you not have PLA available it is much easier to start with

    you will have more than enough to do the proper setup and it is important you know how and what to look for when printing that is what I am trying to get to you and PLA gives the most regular prints so you can easily see what I am talking about
    then you can attack the ABS witht his knowledge and be that much farther ahead
    using ABS now will take much longer to get there

    Jeff, I have to do something with Skype on line. I'm getting tired and am going to call it a night, work comes at 5:30 tomorrow morning. I'll hit it again tomorrow.

    Well here I am again. Everything seems to be working OK but the PLA plastic is not sticking to the unheated bed. I have blue painters tape on the bed. Any ideas?

    Yes but my wife has the phone and I still have to sort out the Skype voice problem.
    Anyway, I've changed over to PLA and replaced the blue painters tape. I've increased the extruder temperature a little but all I get is the plastic adhering nicely to the extruder head, not the print bed.
