Sep 20, 2015 at 2:41 PM - bamhm182: Now that I've got the bottom of this gameboy printing out, I should really look into getting the top finished...
    Sep 20, 2015 at 3:16 PM - bamhm182: So apparently I don't have any switches...
Sep 20, 2015 at 3:16 PM - bamhm182: I think I'm just going to use a headphone jack to control the power for now
Sep 20, 2015 at 3:23 PM - Mike Kelly: Jb I'll be home in about 3 hours and can get you the files then
Sep 20, 2015 at 3:25 PM - jbigler1986: Cool. Do you think you can modify it and make the filament and ptfe tube towards the front like 2mm? The opposite direction of the stepper.
Sep 20, 2015 at 3:26 PM - jbigler1986: The idler bearing barely touches the filament and sometimes it slips off the side of it
Sep 20, 2015 at 3:28 PM - jbigler1986: For that i would think the whole thing needs modified a little. Could be wrong though
Sep 20, 2015 at 3:30 PM - jbigler1986: [IMG] this is how the filament sits against the drive gear. To give you an idea
    Sep 20, 2015 at 3:30 PM - jbigler1986: I mean the bearing
Sep 20, 2015 at 4:01 PM - Mike Kelly: Hmm yeah that should be possible. I guess I should model in the idler arm...
Sep 20, 2015 at 4:02 PM - Mike Kelly: I need to start charging you for design work :p
    Sep 20, 2015 at 4:16 PM - jbigler1986: I sent you filament. :D
    Sep 20, 2015 at 4:20 PM - Mike Kelly: Lol that's true
Sep 20, 2015 at 4:20 PM - Mike Kelly: I think I've worked that off already
    Sep 20, 2015 at 4:29 PM - jbigler1986: Probably
Sep 20, 2015 at 4:30 PM - jbigler1986: Did i miss more info about the markforge job?
    Sep 20, 2015 at 5:45 PM - NFOsec: Greetings.
Sep 20, 2015 at 5:46 PM - NFOsec: does anyone have the default gcode that was use for R1 + and MC? I'm running a little test of things and wanted to revert to the original settings (couldn't cut/paste)
Sep 20, 2015 at 5:46 PM - NFOsec: otherwise I'll uninstall the software and re-install..
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:03 PM - NFOsec: well, found what I needed.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:03 PM - NFOsec: doing a test with the PEI vs. the Zebra vs. glass with PVA.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:05 PM - NFOsec: heya danz. how's it going?
    Sep 20, 2015 at 6:05 PM - jbigler1986: i do not
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:06 PM - jbigler1986: been so long since i used mattercrap
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:06 PM - NFOsec: yeah, I figured it really didn't matter since I just pulled what I had for Cura/S3D.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:07 PM - NFOsec: I found a really interesting dilemma with some models on Thingiverse where they were intentionally crippled at a very specific layer number by a particular poster.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:15 PM - NFOsec: M104 for setting extruder do not wait / preheat where as M109 sets and waits, what's 104 covering?
    Sep 20, 2015 at 6:39 PM - jbigler1986: i use to know
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:41 PM - NFOsec: Well, setting M104 with S# sets the extruder start temp, usually something close to your desired like 150.
    Sep 20, 2015 at 6:41 PM - NFOsec: sort of a pre-heat sequence.
    Sep 20, 2015 at 6:41 PM - jbigler1986: MK you back yet?
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:41 PM - NFOsec: I found the old chart, I need to get a little more organized on my stuff today.
    Sep 20, 2015 at 6:41 PM - NFOsec: so what's new jbig?
    Sep 20, 2015 at 6:41 PM - NFOsec: don't see MK yet.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:42 PM - jbigler1986: Its a secret. Running bowden right now. Dont tell mk
    Sep 20, 2015 at 6:42 PM - NFOsec: nice.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:42 PM - jbigler1986: Although i am still using the direct drive extruder as the hotend mount
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:42 PM - NFOsec: I'm still an idiot with the types, but I do know the bowden set up is desirable.
    Sep 20, 2015 at 6:43 PM - NFOsec: my Micron3DP was a J-head set up.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:44 PM - NFOsec: I asked them if they could reduce the shaft from the stepper to the hob assembly, pending response. if they could, looking at gaining a lot more space in the area.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:45 PM - jbigler1986: Yeah bowden i believe the issue was the stupid z offset not working. I twisted the rods on this print and it printed perfect
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:48 PM - NFOsec: I remember you talking about that. that's awesome.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:49 PM - NFOsec: I keep getting these errors where error - cold extrusion stopped, send M999 to continue print. First time I've seen that in S3D, I wonder if fan is too high.
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:56 PM - jbigler1986: Usually thats what does it. Turn it down to like 50 percent and see if thst fixes it
Sep 20, 2015 at 6:57 PM - jbigler1986: If so you may need to change the fan angle
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:05 PM - NFOsec: yeah, going to. Another possibility is maybe the thermister is crapola.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:05 PM - NFOsec: hard to imagine why after only being 2 weeks old.
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:05 PM - NFOsec: but...
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:05 PM - NFOsec: such a fine quality product one can't think differently.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:06 PM - NFOsec: hey there MK.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:06 PM - Mike Kelly: Hi
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:06 PM - Mike Kelly: Cold extrusion prevented means you're trying to extrude filament below the specified temp
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:06 PM - NFOsec: I heard a "secret" earlier. lol too bad the Shoutbox logs still disclose it.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:06 PM - jbigler1986: Soooooooo. Dont read up on the chat
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:06 PM - NFOsec: LOL!
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:06 PM - Mike Kelly: I think 185 or 190
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:07 PM - NFOsec: well, that's what happened, the thing error coded, so heat was turned off, and of course the fan cooled it below safe extrusion.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:07 PM - NFOsec: happens fast when it does, I usually keep fan 0 for first 3 layers, then 25-50% up.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:08 PM - jbigler1986: Yeah i cant turn on parts fans right now because my temp drops to much.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:08 PM - NFOsec: might have been a freak thing or freakish.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:08 PM - Mike Kelly: Lol jb 4th tries the charm!
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:08 PM - NFOsec: I figured if it has a built in resistor it's not going to go over right?
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:08 PM - jbigler1986: It actually is printing good. Twisting the rods did the trick
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:09 PM - NFOsec: I know some older 3DP extrusion systems relied on a fan to cool them down.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:09 PM - NFOsec: jbig: or as bill would say: pullinmapuddah
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:09 PM - jbigler1986: Can you use the same extruder design except remove most of it?
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:09 PM - Mike Kelly: Oh nfo hmm it might have been a different error if it shut off the extruder and was spitting that out later
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:10 PM - jbigler1986: I would keep the cone shaped part for the ptfe
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:10 PM - NFOsec: I did check, but the error state didn't get captured in time before it cleared the log.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:10 PM - NFOsec: will have to watch for that.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:10 PM - NFOsec: doing an SD print this time around, have been USB for like forever with the other, figured this would be "safe" but still has a temperment.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:10 PM - Mike Kelly: It might have been a temp fall error from a loose or intermittent connection on the thermistor cable. Unplug it and plug it back it
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:11 PM - NFOsec: yeah, that's kind of where I was leaning to after reading Mark T.'s comments in the forums.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:11 PM - Mike Kelly: And kinda wiggle the connector to see if you can cause a jump
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:11 PM - NFOsec: this baby has been shaking and shimmying (like Airplane the movie). LOL
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:12 PM - NFOsec: I will on a test print, in the last 6 minutes of a cool door stop print right now.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:12 PM - Mike Kelly: Sounds good
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:12 PM - NFOsec: appreciate the pointers though, can never be "sure".
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:13 PM - Mike Kelly: Intermittent thermistors are a pain in the ass to diagnose
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:13 PM - NFOsec: so, what's the largest LCD/touch floating around for the Arduino / Robo people have used?
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:13 PM - NFOsec: yeah.
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:13 PM - NFOsec: the Micron3DP I had used a stud.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:13 PM - Mike Kelly: Struggled with that myself. Eventually found the issue but took a while
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:13 PM - NFOsec: and it was sealed with some special thermo-puddy. :)
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:14 PM - NFOsec: sort of like Robo hazing its' new customers eh?
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:14 PM - Mike Kelly: The largest screen is the xxl but it doesn't have any more pixels than the smart lcd
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:14 PM - NFOsec: your info on the S3D worked out well, made a few mods, dropped the PEI and the Zebra to compare out, the challenge I have is that the zebra is getting indented but the PEI and glass are not.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:15 PM - NFOsec: so, PS's M3 stud thermister is probably to big for the heat block on the stock R1+ I suppose.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:16 PM - jbigler1986: You can thread the heatblock
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:16 PM - Mike Kelly: You'd need to talk to don about touchscreen. He's been working on that
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:16 PM - Mike Kelly: Can you do me a favor and send a picture of the heater block?
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:17 PM - jbigler1986: Use a 3mm tap or you may be able to thread it with the stud thermistor itself
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:17 PM - NFOsec: yeah, we were talking about this a little yesterday.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:17 PM - NFOsec: it's sleeved with a condom, you know that.
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:17 PM - jbigler1986: That fucking boot
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:17 PM - NFOsec: I'm not about to knock anyone up, hell, not at my age.
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:17 PM - NFOsec: yeah, I don't like the boot.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:18 PM - Mike Kelly: I was helping robo with a thermistor secured with a screw like on the e3dv6
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:18 PM - NFOsec: had one job early last week that crapped out with filament and started making a mess.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:18 PM - Mike Kelly: Curious if it ever got implemented

Sep 20, 2015 at 7:18 PM - NFOsec: so I want to go stud, and kapton tape this baby up instead.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:18 PM - NFOsec: no, not yet.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:19 PM - NFOsec: it's tucked into the hole, then the boot secures it in place.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:19 PM - Mike Kelly: Ok thanks.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:19 PM - NFOsec: the heater is of course, but you knew that.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:19 PM - Mike Kelly: I kinda find the stud worthless because you can only go to 260
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:20 PM - NFOsec: yeah, they claim "280" but I'd want to be able to hit 280-300 if need be.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:20 PM - NFOsec: so I know the whole assembly has to go eventually.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:21 PM - NFOsec: however, at the time, I'm using the BluPrint and Taulman 910 which both do 245-250, so no desires to go higher, and ABS falls in range too but haven't done yet.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:21 PM - NFOsec: so, the "hole" in the heat block, you basically have to turn the block so the thermistor is opposite the fan in order to avoid fan affects.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:22 PM - NFOsec: mine has been on the side, so I have to rotate it.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:22 PM - NFOsec: the hole in the boot is enough to affect it.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:23 PM - NFOsec: since you didn't "read back on the chat" is jbig safe?
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:23 PM - NFOsec: lol
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:23 PM - Bill Monroe: I dont really think I wold ever say pullinmapuddah
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:23 PM - NFOsec: LOL! He lives!
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:23 PM - Bill Monroe: since, I dont know what it means :)
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:23 PM - Bill Monroe: ya.. was out surveying
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:23 PM - NFOsec: I can't remember what Mike Meyers said in the movie Love Guru.
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:23 PM - NFOsec: 2.0 or something else?
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:23 PM - NFOsec: :)
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:24 PM - jbigler1986: I think its only 260 bc of the epoxy holding it together
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:24 PM - Bill Monroe: ahhh I was out of my meyers phase when that hit the streets
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:24 PM - NFOsec: jbig: higher temp epoxies are usually black, I remembered that from my Micron.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:25 PM - Bill Monroe: naw.. thinking about changing up my building plans
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:25 PM - Bill Monroe: 2.0 is later.. she's got jacuzzi plans
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:25 PM - NFOsec: well, the great thing is you have a choice, a decision to make, and consequences to live with. :)
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:25 PM - NFOsec: nice.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:25 PM - Bill Monroe: ya.. and I get to make a building too :)
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:26 PM - NFOsec: always a fun thing.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:28 PM - NFOsec: MK: you're using the Chimera now right? like it?
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:28 PM - NFOsec: regret not going with a 4 or 16 head extrusion?
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:29 PM - NFOsec: looks like only one heat core for both extruders?
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:30 PM - NFOsec: nevermind, was looking at a wrong picture with the right title.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:34 PM - Blake Benefield: On lead screws... Does the anti backlash nut help muchor just use the regular?
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:35 PM - Bill Monroe: less backlash is better
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:35 PM - Bill Monroe: Zero backlash is valhalla
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:36 PM - Bill Monroe: but if you're talking Z axis on printers,,, not a big deal since gravity is working for ya
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:37 PM - Blake Benefield: Well thats sirt if what i was thinking... That and that typically an acme thread is cut 1.5x the depth of the nut
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:38 PM - NFOsec: this food grade filament really rocks in quality prints. I printed a couple sushi-forming blocks this weekend.
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:39 PM - Blake Benefield: Thinking about upgrading the hictop via leadscrews and nuts
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:39 PM - Blake Benefield: Hips nfo?
    Sep 20, 2015 at 7:42 PM - NFOsec: http://www.makergeeks.com/fosafdapla11.html
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:46 PM - jbigler1986: Alright mk. Going to keep it direct. So whenever you can get to editing the part just pm it. Calling it a night
Sep 20, 2015 at 7:47 PM - NFOsec: take it easy jbig.
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:16 PM - Mike Kelly: NFO I run the chimera yes, i like it well enough because it's so compact
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:26 PM - Bigc: Evening MK
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:27 PM - Mike Kelly: evening
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:28 PM - Bigc: SO how many people have had to send robo back there lead screws
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:28 PM - Mike Glass: too many
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:29 PM - Mike Kelly: oh?
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:29 PM - Mike Kelly: i guess they're not testing them
    Sep 20, 2015 at 8:29 PM - Mike Kelly: i wonder if the R1+'
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:29 PM - Mike Kelly: is having the same issue
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:30 PM - Bigc: Because one of mine is bent to the point it is rubbing against the black injected molded abs x axis
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:31 PM - Mike Kelly: time to take it out i guess
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:31 PM - Bigc: yep and request a replacement
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:32 PM - Mike Kelly: you could try centering it a bit more but if it's wobbly it's wobbly
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:34 PM - Bigc: Yeah i tried it didn't help but thanks for the suggestion
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:36 PM - Bigc: That and it is all sorts of just bent i can watch it Move side to side but the other is perfectly fine
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:39 PM - Mike Glass: how much does it move.
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:40 PM - Mike Glass: I have one on now that moves probably 2mm or so
    Sep 20, 2015 at 8:40 PM - Bigc: 1/2 AN inch to a 1/4
    Sep 20, 2015 at 8:40 PM - Bigc: an
    Sep 20, 2015 at 8:43 PM - Bigc: Correction About 4mm
Sep 20, 2015 at 8:46 PM - Bigc: Hey mike k will this file work with the X carriage 2.2 setup http://www.thingiverse.com/download:1095431
    Sep 20, 2015 at 8:46 PM - Bigc: Fan_Shroud_v6-Dual.stl

Sep 20, 2015 9:22 PM - Mike Kelly: For mod carriage v2 just use the none but I'm not sure that it fits on v2. The carriage itself has mount points for the parts fan
    Sep 20, 2015 10:58 PM - BryZad: anyone up ?
    Sep 20, 2015 11:11 PM - krouton3: yea
Sep 21, 2015 4:22 AM - Bill Monroe: good morning
Sep 21, 2015 4:43 AM - daniel871: Welp, time to get to work: [IMG]

    Sep 21, 2015 5:26 AM - jbigler1986: close enough
Sep 21, 2015 5:39 AM - Bill Monroe: if one owns nothing, he still owns his name.. I like to get it right
Sep 21, 2015 6:05 AM - bamhm182: Back of the gameboy failed like RIGHT after I went to sleep... -_-
Sep 21, 2015 6:24 AM - Bill Monroe: that's what you get for sleeping.
    Sep 21, 2015 7:06 AM - Mike Kelly: morning
    Sep 21, 2015 7:17 AM - WheresWaldo: Morning MK
    Sep 21, 2015 7:19 AM - Bill Monroe: [IMG]
Sep 21, 2015 7:19 AM - WheresWaldo: Wanted to let you know, that I reworked your Chilops fan holder and have two installed on my E3Dv6 equipped ROBO. Was able to use your shrouds directly, saved me a ton of work, Thanks. I put it up on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1026712).
Sep 21, 2015 7:21 AM - Mike Kelly: oh sure, i actually had that design already :)
    Sep 21, 2015 7:21 AM - WheresWaldo: Morning Bill
Sep 21, 2015 7:21 AM - Mike Kelly: if i knew you were gonna make then i coulda saved you some time
    Sep 21, 2015 7:21 AM - Bill Monroe: Waldo
Sep 21, 2015 7:22 AM - WheresWaldo: Well, Time I have, waiting on a lot of parts for the Eustathios.
    Sep 21, 2015 7:22 AM - jbigler1986: back
    Sep 21, 2015 7:22 AM - jbigler1986: morning fellas
    Sep 21, 2015 7:22 AM - Bill Monroe: jb
Sep 21, 2015 7:22 AM - WheresWaldo: It wasn't hard, just filled in the outer two holes and shortened it by 2 mm
Sep 21, 2015 7:22 AM - Mike Kelly: sup jb
    Sep 21, 2015 7:22 AM - Mike Kelly: right
Sep 21, 2015 7:23 AM - WheresWaldo: JB, Gameboy UP or DOWN?
Sep 21, 2015 7:24 AM - jbigler1986: not much. thinking i will stick with dual direct. bowden makes a "clicking" noise every once in a while that bothers me
Sep 21, 2015 7:24 AM - Mike Kelly: i like the simplicity of this:
Sep 21, 2015 7:25 AM - Mike Kelly: oh btw jb i did do some work on the mount last night, you said it needed to go up 12mm?
Sep 21, 2015 7:26 AM - Mike Kelly: & also what length screws are you using, are they flat head?
Sep 21, 2015 7:27 AM - JeffTheMess: good morning roboneers how was the weekend
    Sep 21, 2015 7:27 AM - Bill Monroe: Jeff
Sep 21, 2015 7:28 AM - Mike Kelly: was good, san antonio was hot
    Sep 21, 2015 7:31 AM - jbigler1986: yeah 12mm would clear the belt
    Sep 21, 2015 7:32 AM - jbigler1986: they are flathead yes
    Sep 21, 2015 7:32 AM - jbigler1986: don't forget the ptfe/filament hole too. 2mm forward should be enough on that. maybe 3
Sep 21, 2015 7:34 AM - daniel871: Since I'm going to have a bunch of extra limit switches soon, would there be any benefit to putting them on the opposite ends of the axes (and rigging up a trigger at the top of the Robo case) for some max limits to keep the machine from grinding off a belt if a bug in the drivers runs it against the physical travel limit?
Sep 21, 2015 7:35 AM - daniel871: Or does the firmware not have anything in it for halting a program if it hits a limit switch after the homing operations are done?
Sep 21, 2015 7:37 AM - JeffTheMess: I've had experience when I printed something too big...when it hit the limit switch it would ignore it
Sep 21, 2015 7:37 AM - JeffTheMess: not sure if it was suppose to do that but it happened
    Sep 21, 2015 7:37 AM - daniel871: Well, crap.
Sep 21, 2015 7:38 AM - Bill Monroe: it's possible, but I dont think it's worth the trouble
Sep 21, 2015 7:38 AM - Bill Monroe: and ya, Marlin only looks for the limits when it's homing..
Sep 21, 2015 7:38 AM - daniel871: Was only thinking of doing it since my Robo is still mostly in pieces.
Sep 21, 2015 7:39 AM - Mike Kelly: JB do you know the length? they looked like 35-40mm
Sep 21, 2015 7:39 AM - Mike Kelly: and i can't really move the hole because that would change the positions of the nozzles, but i can reduce the 10mm flat part to 8mm
Sep 21, 2015 7:39 AM - Mike Kelly: i was gonna make you a motor support
Sep 21, 2015 7:40 AM - daniel871: That's weird though, you'd think an estop trigger would be part of the firmware for limit switches when not seeking a home position.
    Sep 21, 2015 7:40 AM - Bill Monroe: it's open source..
Sep 21, 2015 7:40 AM - Bill Monroe: maker community stuff
Sep 21, 2015 7:40 AM - WheresWaldo: Marlin has provisions for Min and Max endstops.
Sep 21, 2015 7:40 AM - Bill Monroe: industry safety standards? ha!
Sep 21, 2015 7:40 AM - Mike Kelly: i believe it's possible to have it not allow movements past min/max
Sep 21, 2015 7:40 AM - daniel871: The new Marlin, Waldo or the Robo version?
    Sep 21, 2015 7:41 AM - daniel871: Yeah, I'm looking at those lines now.
Sep 21, 2015 7:41 AM - Mike Kelly: but robo just has it disabled
Sep 21, 2015 7:41 AM - WheresWaldo: The Robo revision is 1.0.0 so yes both have it.
Sep 21, 2015 7:41 AM - daniel871: The comments on those lines make it sound like if the machine thinks it's at Zero already it won't go negative, don't know if that applies to homing or not.
Sep 21, 2015 7:42 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah i know where you're looking right now
Sep 21, 2015 7:42 AM - daniel871: But if it will home anyway, it may be worth making those lines true and then not even need the max limit since you specify that in the axis length section.
Sep 21, 2015 7:42 AM - WheresWaldo: It may be only for homing, I have never messed with them.
Sep 21, 2015 7:44 AM - daniel871: Well, software_max_endstops is currently true, so I know it either doesn't work or the firmware definition for the axis length is wrong.
    Sep 21, 2015 7:44 AM - daniel871: max_software_endstops, rather.
Sep 21, 2015 7:44 AM - WheresWaldo: I think you also need to set #define max_software_endstops to false if you use mechanical Max stops.
Sep 21, 2015 7:45 AM - Mike Kelly: just be aware you need all the endstops installed, otherwise it doesn't like it
Sep 21, 2015 7:45 AM - JeffTheMess: ^ yeah it does like it at all
Sep 21, 2015 7:46 AM - daniel871: Yeah, I was going to make something to mount the Z-max on the inside of the case if I did it and the software endstop bit really did fail to work.
Sep 21, 2015 7:46 AM - Mike Kelly: i looked into max endstops for a while, decided it wasn't worth it
Sep 21, 2015 7:47 AM - WheresWaldo: I tend to agree with MK, too much work for very little ROI.
Sep 21, 2015 7:47 AM - Blake Benefield: wrecked my extruder gear last night :/
Sep 21, 2015 7:47 AM - WheresWaldo: But you simply can't put a price on peace of mind.
Sep 21, 2015 7:47 AM - daniel871: The only investment for me right now is time, as the mechanical endstops I ordered were in a pack of 10 for $5.
Sep 21, 2015 7:47 AM - Mike Kelly: uh oh blake how'd you manage that
Sep 21, 2015 7:48 AM - Blake Benefield: had a sample of the shaxon copper fill. was printing a light switch wall plate. Missed that I didn't bump to 215 from 200 from the previous filament
Sep 21, 2015 7:49 AM - Blake Benefield: metal filled just ate those aluminum teeth to shreds
Sep 21, 2015 7:49 AM - Mike Kelly: aluminum teeth? wtf
Sep 21, 2015 7:50 AM - Blake Benefield: I'll try to remember to take a picture tonight and show ya. theres a groove all the way around it
Sep 21, 2015 7:50 AM - daniel871: That for the Robo or HIC top Blake?
Sep 21, 2015 7:50 AM - Blake Benefield: it finished the print, but had bits of crap all over the bed.
Sep 21, 2015 7:50 AM - Blake Benefield: hictop daniel. Still waiting on the new bed for the robo to come in
    Sep 21, 2015 7:53 AM - daniel871: They started selling beds again?
    Sep 21, 2015 7:53 AM - Blake Benefield: didn't order a robo bed
    Sep 21, 2015 7:53 AM - daniel871: Oh.
Sep 21, 2015 7:53 AM - Blake Benefield: ordered that alum one
Sep 21, 2015 7:55 AM - Blake Benefield: so yeah, with metal fill just be careful to have your heat high enough
Sep 21, 2015 7:56 AM - Blake Benefield: luckily i had bought a pair of the gears and a 5 pack of nozzles. the nice shaxon people gave me a stainless nozzle when they gave the samples
    Sep 21, 2015 7:57 AM - Mike Kelly: sweet
Sep 21, 2015 7:57 AM - daniel871: Fingers crossed that I actually get to take my vacation next week. Put in for it a while back and it was approved, but they fired the other guy in my department that wasn't a manager a few weeks back due to "budget cuts".
Sep 21, 2015 7:57 AM - jbigler1986: i got you MK. so reduce the thickness of the extruder. That should do the trick. Totally didn't think about that
Sep 21, 2015 7:57 AM - daniel871: Just waiting for the "We're going to need to cancel that vacation time you put in for because we don't have anybody to cover your workload while you're out" crap.
Sep 21, 2015 7:58 AM - jbigler1986: i would tell them to fuck off if they didn't let you take it
Sep 21, 2015 7:58 AM - Blake Benefield: pull the "non refundable" line
Sep 21, 2015 7:58 AM - daniel871: Pulled the trigger a couple of those hardened nozzles PrintedSolid has from E3D. Figure even if I never get the Robo really running again I can use them on the BigBox I'll eventually buy.
Sep 21, 2015 7:59 AM - Blake Benefield: they approved it before you made the plans
Sep 21, 2015 8:00 AM - daniel871: Doesn't work that way here, Blake. Had to work thru Christmas week a couple years ago. My "Bonus" for doing so covered the lost cost of the reservations I'd made which was even more insulting.
Sep 21, 2015 8:01 AM - daniel871: Working on a design now where the field measurements basically show where a competitor of ours is copying our designs from other customers, which will be fun.
Sep 21, 2015 8:01 AM - Mike Kelly: sounds like a shit company
Sep 21, 2015 8:01 AM - jbigler1986: i refuse to be taken advantage of. I put my time in. More than enough. When it's time for my vaca that gets approved. Nobody is telling me no.

    Sep 21, 2015 8:01 AM - daniel871: It's the industry in general, MK.
    Sep 21, 2015 8:01 AM - jbigler1986: doubtful
Sep 21, 2015 8:02 AM - daniel871: Someone can literally be eaten by a paper machine and that machine will be running again within 24 hours.
Sep 21, 2015 8:02 AM - Mike Kelly: sounds like a shit industry
Sep 21, 2015 8:02 AM - Mike Kelly: paper industry is so dumb
Sep 21, 2015 8:02 AM - Mike Kelly: go digital
Sep 21, 2015 8:02 AM - daniel871: (happened last month at a mill out in the northwest)
Sep 21, 2015 8:03 AM - daniel871: They're shifting over to making shipping/packaging materials vs. straight up printing paper in a lot of mills, actually.
Sep 21, 2015 8:04 AM - daniel871: One mill in Macon went from being on the verge of closing to converting over to producing sheets of insulation on one machine and the materials that are made into drop-in-ceiling panels on another.
Sep 21, 2015 8:06 AM - daniel871: Our materials research kind of shot us in the foot in the long run on sales. Went from having repeat rebuilds every 8-12 months on one product line to only having rebuilds every *3 years* on the same products. Which is great in the word-of-mouth bit but makes for some real feast/famine scenarios on what was a regular line of income.
Sep 21, 2015 8:07 AM - jbigler1986: what are you thinking about motor supports mk?
Sep 21, 2015 8:09 AM - daniel871: Back on the firmware, found out yesterday while checking that the steppers were all wired in correctly that simply inverting the stepper in the firmware is no good for the actual axis steppers.
Sep 21, 2015 8:10 AM - daniel871: If they're plugged in backwards. You can invert them to get the X+ vs. X- direction correct when manual controlling them, but if the stepper is firmware inverted it tries to run to Max direction instead of the usual homing direction.
Sep 21, 2015 8:12 AM - daniel871: (and inverting the homing direction in turn just has the stepper sit in place instead of going home)
Sep 21, 2015 8:13 AM - daniel871: Mostly just playing around while waiting on parts.
Sep 21, 2015 8:13 AM - jbigler1986: also mk with the current fans mounted to the carriage they are pointing at the heat blocks and cause temp drops. So it might be time for a blower. Which I think I ordered 2 from robotdigg
Sep 21, 2015 8:14 AM - Mike Kelly: you did
Sep 21, 2015 8:15 AM - Mike Kelly: jb i'm thinking just kind of a basic gusset approach
Sep 21, 2015 8:15 AM - Mike Kelly: i just want the details of your screws so i know what to design around
Sep 21, 2015 8:18 AM - Mike Glass: oh mg
    Sep 21, 2015 8:18 AM - Mike Kelly: sup
Sep 21, 2015 8:19 AM - Mike Glass: ah, at work, booo
Sep 21, 2015 8:21 AM - Mike Glass: how was your weekend
Sep 21, 2015 8:21 AM - Mike Kelly: it was a lot of fun
Sep 21, 2015 8:21 AM - Mike Kelly: hot, but fun
Sep 21, 2015 8:24 AM - Mike Glass: where did ya go
Sep 21, 2015 8:25 AM - Mike Kelly: san antonio
Sep 21, 2015 8:25 AM - Mike Glass: man so you did some traveling this last week. wow
Sep 21, 2015 8:26 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah definitely
Sep 21, 2015 8:26 AM - Mike Kelly: i'm ready to not go anywhere for a while
Sep 21, 2015 8:28 AM - Blake Benefield: ME TOO
Sep 21, 2015 8:28 AM - Blake Benefield: unfortunately next week i'll be in kentucky
Sep 21, 2015 8:28 AM - Mike Glass: for like a month right?
Sep 21, 2015 8:28 AM - daniel871: Start running if you hear any banjos.
    Sep 21, 2015 8:28 AM - Blake Benefield: 2 weeks
Sep 21, 2015 8:28 AM - Blake Benefield: i'll come home on weekends
    Sep 21, 2015 8:29 AM - Mike Glass: why?
Sep 21, 2015 8:29 AM - Mike Kelly: key kim davis's car for me
Sep 21, 2015 8:29 AM - Blake Benefield: if i see her i'll just run over her
Sep 21, 2015 8:30 AM - daniel871: Don't, the resulting grease spot will never come out.
Sep 21, 2015 8:30 AM - Blake Benefield: not my car!
Sep 21, 2015 8:30 AM - Mike Kelly: put an equality sticker on it
Sep 21, 2015 8:30 AM - Blake Benefield: mike, i have to come home the first weekend
Sep 21, 2015 8:31 AM - Blake Benefield: birthday is wednesday. anniversary is friday
    Sep 21, 2015 8:31 AM - Mike Glass: blah
Sep 21, 2015 8:31 AM - Mike Kelly: i'm so bad at birthdays, i have no idea what to do for my wife's
Sep 21, 2015 8:33 AM - Mike Glass: I suck in that dept as well
Sep 21, 2015 8:33 AM - Blake Benefield: how old is she MK?
Sep 21, 2015 8:33 AM - Blake Benefield: i suck at it... for my wife
Sep 21, 2015 8:33 AM - Blake Benefield: other peoples wives I'm ok
Sep 21, 2015 8:34 AM - Blake Benefield: of course i normally just make something out of copper
Sep 21, 2015 8:34 AM - Mike Glass: get her that metal rose that was cool
Sep 21, 2015 8:35 AM - Mike Glass: I need to make my daughter another nickel ring for her birthday
    Sep 21, 2015 8:35 AM - daniel871: "Ugh, another one?"
    Sep 21, 2015 8:35 AM - Mike Kelly: 30
Sep 21, 2015 8:36 AM - Mike Glass: her sister lost the other one, down the heat vent.
    Sep 21, 2015 8:36 AM - Mike Kelly: bummer
Sep 21, 2015 8:36 AM - daniel871: Send her sister down the vent to get it.
Sep 21, 2015 8:38 AM - Mike Glass: it must of rolled all they way down, stuck a vacuum hose as far as I could with no luck.
Sep 21, 2015 8:39 AM - Mike Kelly: man flowers are freaking expensive
Sep 21, 2015 8:39 AM - Mike Glass: Thats why i like those metal ones. way cheaper.
Sep 21, 2015 8:40 AM - daniel871: Probably a hole in the ductwork that it rolled out of.
Sep 21, 2015 8:41 AM - Mike Glass: no holes in this, fairly new house. Im not taking it apart in the crawl space..lol
    Sep 21, 2015 8:41 AM - jbigler1986: i can get whatever sized screws are needs. That's not a biggie
Sep 21, 2015 8:42 AM - jbigler1986: if you could i would like to leave a little room for the hotend insert to use a nut on the oppsite end to hold it tight. otherwise the hotend was a litttle loose
Sep 21, 2015 8:44 AM - jbigler1986: that's why the bolts on that one were sticking way out. i needed to use a nut and just grabbed what was right beside me at the time
Sep 21, 2015 8:44 AM - daniel871: Have a couple new shows caught on Amazon deals for fairly cheap that might be good for killing time this winter.
Sep 21, 2015 8:44 AM - Blake Benefield: Make one MK
Sep 21, 2015 8:45 AM - daniel871: The Shield and The Wire. Never got around to watching either one and they're both supposed to be good.
    Sep 21, 2015 8:45 AM - Blake Benefield: [IMG]
    Sep 21, 2015 8:45 AM - Mike Kelly: lol
    Sep 21, 2015 8:45 AM - daniel871: *Print* one.
Sep 21, 2015 8:46 AM - Mike Glass: hairspray a real one then paint it gold..lol
Sep 21, 2015 8:46 AM - Blake Benefield: seriously I can about teach you how to make that over the phone so long as you can use a torch
Sep 21, 2015 8:46 AM - daniel871: Anyone ever get that lotus thing to slice properly? I kept getting gaps in the model.
    Sep 21, 2015 8:46 AM - Mike Kelly: what about a sunflower
Sep 21, 2015 8:46 AM - daniel871: Bronzefill Lotus polished up would probably be pretty neat.
Sep 21, 2015 8:47 AM - Blake Benefield: a lot harder, can do lillies and cala lillies easier
    Sep 21, 2015 8:48 AM - daniel871: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:843228/#files
Sep 21, 2015 8:48 AM - Mike Kelly: she does like lillies
Sep 21, 2015 8:48 AM - Mike Kelly: and tulips
Sep 21, 2015 8:48 AM - Blake Benefield: roses are just the easiest thing ever
    Sep 21, 2015 8:49 AM - Mike Kelly: right
Sep 21, 2015 8:49 AM - Blake Benefield: and you can buy rose oil and put a little sponge in the center and close it up. few drops of oil and it smells
    Sep 21, 2015 8:49 AM - Mike Kelly: https://plus.google.com/u/1/photos/...196293077930059297/6196293078823120978?cfem=1 this is clever
Sep 21, 2015 8:49 AM - Blake Benefield: they freak the hell out when they sniff the metal rose and it smells like a flower
    Sep 21, 2015 8:50 AM - daniel871: A surge protector mounted under a desk?
    Sep 21, 2015 8:51 AM - Blake Benefield: http://www.piehtoolco.com/contents/en-us/p10379.html
Sep 21, 2015 8:51 AM - Blake Benefield: copper is easier than steel to make
Sep 21, 2015 8:51 AM - Blake Benefield: no welding, just brazing
Sep 21, 2015 8:52 AM - Mike Kelly: i think he made some mount daniel
Sep 21, 2015 8:52 AM - Mike Kelly: either way it gives me an idea
    Sep 21, 2015 8:53 AM - Mike Kelly: http://www.ultibots.com/pg35l-048-geared-stepper-motor/ hmm
    Sep 21, 2015 8:57 AM - jbigler1986: for?
    Sep 21, 2015 8:58 AM - Mike Kelly: i'm not sure tbh
Sep 21, 2015 8:59 AM - Mike Kelly: just thought it interesting
Sep 21, 2015 8:59 AM - Blake Benefield: You see the 350mm leadscrews on robotdigg MK?
Sep 21, 2015 9:00 AM - Mike Kelly: yes, almost bought some
Sep 21, 2015 9:00 AM - Blake Benefield: if I hadn't just bought a couple more rolls of filament I would have
Sep 21, 2015 9:01 AM - Blake Benefield: building up my color library a bit lol

    Sep 21, 2015 9:04 AM - bamhm182: Hey guys
    Sep 21, 2015 9:05 AM - jim3Dbot: Dan871, are you there???
    Sep 21, 2015 9:05 AM - Mike Kelly: sup
Sep 21, 2015 9:07 AM - bamhm182: Not much. Waiting for my print to hit 58% so I can drop some M3 nuts in
Sep 21, 2015 9:08 AM - jim3Dbot: MK, just jumped in & noticed a conversation by Daniel 'bout Max limit switch possibilities, the statement was made Marlin uses only for homing, don't think that's true.....
Sep 21, 2015 9:09 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah i didn't think that was true either
Sep 21, 2015 9:09 AM - Mike Kelly: i think it is possible for them to act as actual stop points when you use both but i'm not sure how
Sep 21, 2015 9:09 AM - jim3Dbot: As we all seen servos driving to max limits with no disable of axis drive...
    Sep 21, 2015 9:11 AM - bamhm182: [IMG]
Sep 21, 2015 9:11 AM - jim3Dbot: I am sure they stop all axis...just manually drive z down, before it hits table press limit, it stops, true on all min stop limit switches...
Sep 21, 2015 9:11 AM - bamhm182: Thinking about measuring the black one, telling S3D to start printing where it failed, and gluing it
Sep 21, 2015 9:12 AM - bamhm182: I mean, basically all it's missing is several tubes for screws to run through and a little bit of the border
    Sep 21, 2015 9:12 AM - jim3Dbot: Same on X & Y....they stop...
Sep 21, 2015 9:15 AM - Mike Kelly: lookin god bam
    Sep 21, 2015 9:16 AM - jim3Dbot: Ain't sure, but I don't remember seeing x,y,z max limit inputs on ramp....
    Sep 21, 2015 9:16 AM - bamhm182: Thanks. I agree, aside from it failing. :/
Sep 21, 2015 9:16 AM - Mike Kelly: ah lame
    Sep 21, 2015 9:26 AM - jim3Dbot: OKay, chk'ed max limit inputs are on Ramp1.4....next project.............
Sep 21, 2015 9:27 AM - bamhm182: The part it failed at should only take around 1 hour and 50 cents to reprint. I think I'm going to try it
    Sep 21, 2015 9:27 AM - jbigler1986: lol
    Sep 21, 2015 9:27 AM - Bill Monroe:
Sep 21, 2015 9:27 AM - jbigler1986: is the IR sensor installed now?
    Sep 21, 2015 9:27 AM - bamhm182: I've got max limits on mine, they're unused though
Sep 21, 2015 9:28 AM - Bill Monroe: inputs be damned.. if the software isnt paying attention to it
Sep 21, 2015 9:28 AM - bamhm182: Bill, the printer doesn't accept interrupts while it's autolevelingBill, that is odd
Sep 21, 2015 9:28 AM - Bill Monroe: I got a hunch the trajectory code would be impacted by continuous checking of limits
Sep 21, 2015 9:28 AM - Bill Monroe: check the vid.. it's printing
    Sep 21, 2015 9:28 AM - Bill Monroe: it's not odd.. it's efficient
Sep 21, 2015 9:28 AM - bamhm182: Haha, don't know why I thought it was autoleveling for those who caught that
Sep 21, 2015 9:29 AM - jim3Dbot: Just completed bracket.....printing next.....mounts using existing carrage screw...the one with the acorn nut......have longitudal? holes for adj. up & down 5mm
    Sep 21, 2015 9:30 AM - bamhm182: I just figured that it would, as a safety measure
Sep 21, 2015 9:31 AM - Bill Monroe: if safety was a concern, they'd put a bolted cover with a secured door on it.
Sep 21, 2015 9:31 AM - Mike Kelly: we already knew the limit switches were ignored, the question is if you can enable it
Sep 21, 2015 9:32 AM - Bill Monroe: if you enable it, the constant watchdog for limits will interefere with the trajectory planner
Sep 21, 2015 9:32 AM - bamhm182: Seems like if you can't, you could plug the max limits in elsewhere and code them to do things if they are hit
Sep 21, 2015 9:32 AM - Bill Monroe: but hey,,, shoot you best shot
Sep 21, 2015 9:33 AM - Bill Monroe: MG you alive?
Sep 21, 2015 9:34 AM - jim3Dbot: Here's a good idea, again maybe, Just wire a limit switch to the y rear, wire correctly to the Y min. As a safety measure, your bed moves to far Y max stops Y drive, thinks it at Y min. saves robo, disable drive, push off limit, do same on all axis, you are spared, not as bad as it sounds...
Sep 21, 2015 9:34 AM - Bill Monroe: ok.. do it
    Sep 21, 2015 9:35 AM - jim3Dbot: Next project....seems right to me.....no software revs needed.
Sep 21, 2015 9:35 AM - Bill Monroe: the big boys examine all the gcode before start.. if anything exceeds, no start
Sep 21, 2015 9:35 AM - Mike Kelly: if you want to simply disable the printer if it hits max you could wire them to be an estop trigger
Sep 21, 2015 9:35 AM - Bill Monroe: and thier slicers wont slice you you placed something outside the envelope
Sep 21, 2015 9:36 AM - Bill Monroe: limits simply arent necessary.
    Sep 21, 2015 9:36 AM - bamhm182: S3D slices if it's outside
Sep 21, 2015 9:36 AM - Mike Kelly: software limits are fine
    Sep 21, 2015 9:36 AM - jim3Dbot: Oh yeah they are..........
Sep 21, 2015 9:36 AM - Mike Kelly: more just the thought practice of if it's possible
Sep 21, 2015 9:37 AM - jim3Dbot: The software won't know the wired Z max is wired to the Z min, it will just stop, thats what you want..........
    Sep 21, 2015 9:38 AM - jim3Dbot: or X or Y
    Sep 21, 2015 9:38 AM - jbigler1986: what about T axis?
    Sep 21, 2015 9:38 AM - bamhm182: [IMG]
    Sep 21, 2015 9:39 AM - jim3Dbot: turd?
    Sep 21, 2015 9:39 AM - jbigler1986: sure
Sep 21, 2015 9:39 AM - jim3Dbot: limit on that is katopecte, spellin wrong
Sep 21, 2015 9:41 AM - jim3Dbot: I'm going to try & print that bracket, if the robo still works after disassembly....later gents
    Sep 21, 2015 9:41 AM - jbigler1986: good luck
    Sep 21, 2015 9:52 AM - krouton3: hows it goin today
Sep 21, 2015 9:59 AM - Mike Glass: Ok im back
Sep 21, 2015 9:59 AM - Mike Glass: wow now everybody is gone.. Hoofhearted
    Sep 21, 2015 10:03 AM - bamhm182: Welcome back
    Sep 21, 2015 10:03 AM - bamhm182: It's not going too bad, krouton. How're you doing?
    Sep 21, 2015 10:03 AM - Blake Benefield:
    Sep 21, 2015 10:04 AM - bamhm182: That's pretty sweet, Blake
Sep 21, 2015 10:07 AM - Blake Benefield: I thought it was sort of cool
    Sep 21, 2015 10:07 AM - jbigler1986: that is awesome
Sep 21, 2015 10:07 AM - Mike Glass: 5 pens for $95 they are effin insane
    Sep 21, 2015 10:09 AM - jbigler1986: well you did buy a robo. so....
    Sep 21, 2015 10:10 AM - daniel871: Wait, the pens aren't refillable?
    Sep 21, 2015 10:10 AM - daniel871: :p
Sep 21, 2015 10:13 AM - daniel871: I like the idea of their inkjet printer cartridges better than the pen.
Sep 21, 2015 10:13 AM - daniel871: Plot your circuit after drawing it in a CAD program.
    Sep 21, 2015 10:14 AM - Mike Glass: http://spectrum.ieee.org/geek-life/hands-on/how-to-brew-your-own-conductive-ink
Sep 21, 2015 10:19 AM - daniel871: Like one of the comments there said, probably be easier to mix your own and use a fountain pen.
Sep 21, 2015 10:27 AM - bamhm182: Probably not easier, but definitely cheaper
Sep 21, 2015 10:27 AM - Mike Glass: just use carbon powder
Sep 21, 2015 10:27 AM - Mike Glass: and vinegar
Sep 21, 2015 10:29 AM - Mike Glass: cant believe people would pay $20 for a pen that is no different then a regular pen.
Sep 21, 2015 10:31 AM - Mike Kelly: laser printer, transfer to blank, acid wash
Sep 21, 2015 10:32 AM - Bigc: Mike k what size fans do you use for the X carriage 2.2 cooling
Sep 21, 2015 10:33 AM - Mike Kelly: 40mm for the parts cooling, e3dv6's are using 25mm but i think the stock fan mounts and 30mm fans work
    Sep 21, 2015 10:34 AM - bamhm182: I thought the v6 had a 30mm fan?
    Sep 21, 2015 10:35 AM - Mike Kelly: that's what i just said
    Sep 21, 2015 10:35 AM - daniel871: I used the stock fans just fine.
Sep 21, 2015 10:36 AM - daniel871: Was basically a "You're not pulling those fans back out without destroying them" fit though.
Sep 21, 2015 10:36 AM - daniel871: So not "just fine", but they did go in.
Sep 21, 2015 10:37 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah, you're the one that i got that info from
Sep 21, 2015 10:38 AM - daniel871: And I only did that because my cousin broke the 25mm fan mount piece while I was putting the other pieces together.
    Sep 21, 2015 10:38 AM - bamhm182: "e3dv6's are using 25mm"
Sep 21, 2015 10:39 AM - daniel871: Picked it up and had it held between forefinger and thumb and was all "What's this piece for?" while squeezing it.
Sep 21, 2015 10:39 AM - Bigc: I tried the stock cooling fan that came with the robo last night but for some reason there is not enough clearance
Sep 21, 2015 10:40 AM - Mike Kelly: you'd need to talk to daniel about that
Sep 21, 2015 10:40 AM - Mike Kelly: "stock fan mounts and 30mm fans"
Sep 21, 2015 10:41 AM - daniel871: Kind of hard to see, but you might be able to glimpse them in this pic from my Show & Tell thread. [IMG]
Sep 21, 2015 10:41 AM - Mike Kelly: in my design bam i used 25mm because they fit better, that's the file he has
Sep 21, 2015 10:41 AM - Mike Kelly: i don't know what to tell you bigc
Sep 21, 2015 10:41 AM - Mike Kelly: just use 25mm or try and fit the stock 30's in there
Sep 21, 2015 10:41 AM - daniel871: I think my particular prints may have had clearance for whatever random ABS shrinkage went on. All of my parts were Red ABS.
Sep 21, 2015 10:43 AM - Bigc: i thought you were using 30s for the cooling fans mtbad
    Sep 21, 2015 10:43 AM - Bigc: my bad

    Sep 21, 2015 10:43 AM - daniel871: I am?
Sep 21, 2015 10:43 AM - daniel871: Those black fans you see in the pic are the ones that came with the v6.
Sep 21, 2015 10:43 AM - daniel871: The bigger part cooling fans are 40s IIRC.
Sep 21, 2015 10:44 AM - Mike Kelly: the changes to mod carriage v2 makes it difficult to fit the v1's dual 30mm's
Sep 21, 2015 10:44 AM - Mike Kelly: and even then you had to cut up the fan in the corners to make it fit
Sep 21, 2015 10:45 AM - daniel871: I'm using the shrouds that came with the v6 as well, for a new "WTF?!" wrinkle in the discussion.
    Sep 21, 2015 10:45 AM - daniel871: I say "using". They're there while I wait on new limit switches.
Sep 21, 2015 10:46 AM - daniel871: If I don't forget I'll take a closer pic while I'm on a break during my workout this evening in the shop.
    Sep 21, 2015 10:46 AM - bamhm182: Oh, alright, makes sense now
    Sep 21, 2015 10:46 AM - daniel871: (Shop/Gym/whatever)
    Sep 21, 2015 10:47 AM - Mike Kelly: now i remember why i don't make instruction threads
Sep 21, 2015 10:47 AM - Mike Kelly: for duals
    Sep 21, 2015 10:47 AM - daniel871: Nobody follows directions?
Sep 21, 2015 10:48 AM - Mike Glass: nobody can read
Sep 21, 2015 10:48 AM - Mike Kelly: it just requires too much involvement from my part regardless of how much information i put out there
Sep 21, 2015 10:48 AM - Mike Kelly: don't want people to start something they can't finish
Sep 21, 2015 10:48 AM - Bigc: So use 30s for the cooling not the 40 and use 25s for the hotends
Sep 21, 2015 10:48 AM - Mike Glass: just leave your phone number on there it will be fine
Sep 21, 2015 10:49 AM - Mike Kelly: haha mike
    Sep 21, 2015 10:49 AM - daniel871:
Sep 21, 2015 10:49 AM - Mike Kelly: what on earth makes you think that's what we were saying
    Sep 21, 2015 10:49 AM - daniel871: How to Dual Print:
    Sep 21, 2015 10:49 AM - daniel871: Step 1
    Sep 21, 2015 10:49 AM - daniel871: Buy a Flashforge Creator Pro.
    Sep 21, 2015 10:49 AM - daniel871: Step 2.
Sep 21, 2015 10:49 AM - daniel871: Use it instead of the Robo for dual prints.
    Sep 21, 2015 10:50 AM - daniel871: Step 3. ????
Sep 21, 2015 10:50 AM - jbigler1986: "hey I just bought a R1 and I am going dual. What all do I need to do?"
    Sep 21, 2015 10:50 AM - daniel871: "Return the R1 and get a different printer"
    Sep 21, 2015 10:50 AM - Mike Kelly: right?
Sep 21, 2015 10:51 AM - Mike Kelly: How to dual extrude the robo3d: don't
Sep 21, 2015 10:51 AM - jbigler1986: i knew it would be a paint in the ass for dual. it will be satisfying
    Sep 21, 2015 10:51 AM - Mike Kelly: it's like 10% satisfying, 90% annoying
Sep 21, 2015 10:51 AM - daniel871: Yeah, I'm only doing it because I've already got the physical parts done and wired up.
Sep 21, 2015 10:51 AM - jbigler1986: the lock washers work great at adjusting the height
Sep 21, 2015 10:52 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah i just dislike how they give no lateral stability
    Sep 21, 2015 10:52 AM - Mike Kelly: that's why i liked my stud/spring approach
Sep 21, 2015 10:52 AM - daniel871: I kind of wish there was clearance somewhere so adjustment could be made from the top of the carriage.
Sep 21, 2015 10:52 AM - daniel871: But then you'd end up with screws digging into the fans.
Sep 21, 2015 10:53 AM - Mike Kelly: adjusting what
    Sep 21, 2015 10:53 AM - jbigler1986: need blowers
    Sep 21, 2015 10:53 AM - daniel871: The Z alignment for the hotends.
Sep 21, 2015 10:53 AM - Mike Kelly: it's designed to be adjusted from the top?
Sep 21, 2015 10:54 AM - daniel871: Something went wrong when I printed it then, as the nut would just spin when I assembled it the one way.
    Sep 21, 2015 10:54 AM - Mike Kelly: [IMG]
Sep 21, 2015 10:54 AM - daniel871: The screw head is on the bottom there, MK.
Sep 21, 2015 10:55 AM - Mike Kelly: it's locked in place with the first nut
Sep 21, 2015 10:55 AM - Mike Kelly: might have needed to reduce the tolerance of the nut slot though
Sep 21, 2015 10:56 AM - daniel871: I managed to strip that first slot when tightening it up. :p
    Sep 21, 2015 10:56 AM - jbigler1986: that's fun
Sep 21, 2015 10:56 AM - Mike Kelly: i know what you mean
Sep 21, 2015 10:56 AM - Mike Kelly: i probably should have made it be equal tolerance and just force it in
Sep 21, 2015 10:57 AM - Mike Kelly: or heat set
    Sep 21, 2015 10:57 AM - daniel871: Eh.
Sep 21, 2015 10:57 AM - daniel871: Oh FCS. The latest tracking update on the limit switches says they won't be here until the 24th.
Sep 21, 2015 10:59 AM - daniel871: Also, LOL, the USPS sent me an email saying the bent leadscrews will be delivered to Robo today.
Sep 21, 2015 11:00 AM - daniel871: Meanwhile, when you're the recipient you get no such notification.
Sep 21, 2015 11:00 AM - jbigler1986: leadscrews has turned into a mess for them
Sep 21, 2015 11:01 AM - daniel871: I think it's funny that the second set has the plug on the motor instead of wires going directly into the core like the 1st set.
Sep 21, 2015 11:01 AM - Mike Glass: the Pei just showed up.
Sep 21, 2015 11:02 AM - daniel871: I think you'll like it once you get it mounted MG.
Sep 21, 2015 11:02 AM - Mike Glass: good, im tired of using tape.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:03 AM - jbigler1986: i just use the glass bed :D
Sep 21, 2015 11:03 AM - Mike Glass: hopefully I get the same speed that get with tape.
Sep 21, 2015 11:04 AM - daniel871: Not sure why the PEI would affect speed.
Sep 21, 2015 11:04 AM - Mike Glass: first layer
Sep 21, 2015 11:04 AM - daniel871: Hey, would this be simpler than printing the chain like some folks have done? http://www.amazon.com/25mm-Semi-Enclosed-Carrier-Chain/dp/B005GIRT6O
Sep 21, 2015 11:05 AM - Mike Kelly: yes, probably about the same price all things considered
Sep 21, 2015 11:05 AM - daniel871: I made no changes whatsoever to the first layer other than to back it off a little bit to try and make it easier to remove.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:05 AM - daniel871: 100% in the slicer.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:05 AM - daniel871: 90% really jammed it on there.
Sep 21, 2015 11:05 AM - Mike Kelly: pretty much every robo3d upgrade has been a huge headache for them
Sep 21, 2015 11:05 AM - daniel871: Doing it right would help things, honestly.
Sep 21, 2015 11:06 AM - daniel871: I'm more wondering if the dimensions of that chain are big enough to run the wires thru.
Sep 21, 2015 11:07 AM - jbigler1986: i have connectors on my wiring so it's no bueno for me
Sep 21, 2015 11:08 AM - daniel871: I've got plenty of wire length, so I figured I'd still have the connectors/etc. floating above the carriage and the remaining length under the bottom of the Robo on the other end of the chain.
Sep 21, 2015 11:09 AM - daniel871: With the chain itself fastened to one of the sets of holes MK thoughtfully put in the carriage and the other end fastened to the side of the case so that the chain could move freely without hitting the leadscrews.
Sep 21, 2015 11:09 AM - jbigler1986: my wiring looks like a nest under the robo right now
Sep 21, 2015 11:10 AM - Blake Benefield: Pretty big though for whats needed. that's about 2/3"x1"
    Sep 21, 2015 11:11 AM - daniel871: There is a 10 x 25 as well, but thought that might be too tight.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:11 AM - daniel871: 10 x 15 rather.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:12 AM - Blake Benefield: i'
Sep 21, 2015 11:15 AM - jbigler1986: MK if you need to modify the carriage for the dual direct go for it. I need to print another anyways
Sep 21, 2015 11:15 AM - daniel871: Hey MK if you're interested in doing some design work for free I'll print it and use it. :p
Sep 21, 2015 11:16 AM - daniel871: I really need to get back into designing some things, myself. But I keep finding where someone else already did it.
Sep 21, 2015 11:16 AM - jbigler1986: we all know he doesn't work at work anyways
    Sep 21, 2015 11:17 AM - daniel871: That's why he didn't get an eager offer from whats-their-faces last week.
Sep 21, 2015 11:17 AM - daniel871: "This guy spends the whole day in the Robo3D shoutbox"
Sep 21, 2015 11:17 AM - jbigler1986: I sent him 3 spools of filament so that paid for some design work
    Sep 21, 2015 11:17 AM - Mike Kelly: 2
    Sep 21, 2015 11:17 AM - daniel871: Ugh, I hate weather shifts.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:18 AM - daniel871: So much static electricity.
Sep 21, 2015 11:18 AM - jbigler1986: i thought it was red, blue and white
Sep 21, 2015 11:18 AM - Mike Kelly: ohhh yeah
Sep 21, 2015 11:18 AM - Mike Kelly: so yeah
    Sep 21, 2015 11:18 AM - jbigler1986: lol
Sep 21, 2015 11:18 AM - Mike Kelly: send me filament, i'll design for you
    Sep 21, 2015 11:18 AM - jbigler1986: i do have a full unopened spool of ABS
Sep 21, 2015 11:19 AM - daniel871: I'm trying to remember what I was going to do in the various PLA filaments before my Robo went on the fritz.
Sep 21, 2015 11:19 AM - Mike Kelly: jb i checked the model and the file i sent you had bearing ID of 15.5 so i reduced that to 15.2

Sep 21, 2015 11:19 AM - Mike Kelly: i can send you that file
Sep 21, 2015 11:19 AM - Mike Kelly: and then i already started the modifications to the extruder mount
Sep 21, 2015 11:19 AM - Mike Kelly: just need to design the motor support
Sep 21, 2015 11:19 AM - daniel871: Oh right, the Squid Attack thing.
Sep 21, 2015 11:20 AM - jbigler1986: sweet. I may send you this black spool of abs. I thought about using it for fan shrouds and stuff. but haven't
    Sep 21, 2015 11:20 AM - Mike Kelly: gotcha
Sep 21, 2015 11:20 AM - Mike Kelly: if you want
    Sep 21, 2015 11:20 AM - Mike Kelly: i don't mind
Sep 21, 2015 11:20 AM - jbigler1986: i have had it for like 3 months. never opened it
Sep 21, 2015 11:21 AM - daniel871: good grief, that clear sample filament from when I ordered the Rambo was 3mm filament. I can't use it anyway. :p
Sep 21, 2015 11:21 AM - Mike Kelly: haha oh no
Sep 21, 2015 11:22 AM - daniel871: Wonder if it can be fed thru the weedeater.
Sep 21, 2015 11:22 AM - daniel871: People on here joke about it but I never actually checked.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:23 AM - jbigler1986: most weed eater string is like 1.9 i think
Sep 21, 2015 11:23 AM - daniel871: Did you see that post asking if things like fishing line and actual weed eater string can be used in 3d printing?
    Sep 21, 2015 11:23 AM - daniel871: On the FB group?
Sep 21, 2015 11:24 AM - bamhm182: I have been fighting so hard to save this print that was doomed from the start. >_<
Sep 21, 2015 11:25 AM - bamhm182: First it started chewing the filament and not extruding on the second layer. Fixed that, skipped the second layer and started fresh on the third after lowering it manually a smidge
Sep 21, 2015 11:25 AM - jbigler1986: MK I tossed in the hex heater cartridge since the ones i ordered sucked. I now have a 40w that i will install tonight. Do you think the 40w heater will be able to keep the temp from dropping to much when parts fan gets turned on?
Sep 21, 2015 11:26 AM - bamhm182: Second, I was an idiot and was messing with the carriage while it was printing, causing it to be thrown off on the X-axis. Got it mostly back on track, but there are a handful of layers that are very screwed up because of it

Sep 21, 2015 11:33 AM - daniel871: Figured out another way to get a bed put together for the Robo, but it's probably not the cheapest method.
Sep 21, 2015 11:33 AM - daniel871: If they never sell them again.
Sep 21, 2015 11:33 AM - Mike Kelly: jb a 40w should def handle it

    Sep 21, 2015 11:35 AM - NFOsec: at 50microns?
    Sep 21, 2015 11:35 AM - NFOsec: 100?
    Sep 21, 2015 11:35 AM - jbigler1986: 10

    Sep 21, 2015 11:35 AM - Mike Kelly: that's a fancy ass box
Sep 21, 2015 11:35 AM - NFOsec: ah, so it's centered towards mini-g.i. joe army people (with great detail) or jewelry
    Sep 21, 2015 11:36 AM - daniel871: Wait, they're shipping finally?
Sep 21, 2015 11:36 AM - NFOsec: nah, pelican boxes are a dime a dozen, I see millions of variations from photography cases.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:36 AM - Mike Glass: its a demo model
    Sep 21, 2015 11:36 AM - daniel871: Get that f-er running and post a stream. :p
Sep 21, 2015 11:36 AM - Mike Kelly: nfo no it's centered on being a toy for people who don't know anything about 3d printing
    Sep 21, 2015 11:36 AM - jbigler1986: maybe next year
Sep 21, 2015 11:37 AM - NFOsec: so, almost like a wall clock or a grandfather clock or even a metronome where they can just watch it go for hours, days, weeks, months, years?
    Sep 21, 2015 11:37 AM - Mike Kelly: http://imgur.com/a/mJDqx
Sep 21, 2015 11:37 AM - daniel871: Better than any of those little desk things where the balls click back and forth on pendulum motion.
Sep 21, 2015 11:37 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah i'd buy it for a desk toy
Sep 21, 2015 11:38 AM - Mike Kelly: don't expect it to actually make something of use though
Sep 21, 2015 11:38 AM - daniel871: Have it sitting there printing a vase while you're at work so you have the soothing 3d printer noise in the background.
Sep 21, 2015 11:38 AM - NFOsec: what are they seeking for it?
    Sep 21, 2015 11:38 AM - daniel871: $180 I think.
Sep 21, 2015 11:38 AM - NFOsec: Always loved the 5 stainless steel-ball ball thing.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:38 AM - jbigler1986: $179
    Sep 21, 2015 11:39 AM - jbigler1986: weird how 179 looks way cheaper than 180
Sep 21, 2015 11:39 AM - Mike Kelly: they haven't said how much it will retail at
    Sep 21, 2015 11:39 AM - Mike Kelly: i bet 300
    Sep 21, 2015 11:39 AM - daniel871: $349 like the M3D
    Sep 21, 2015 11:40 AM - jbigler1986: fuck that
Sep 21, 2015 11:40 AM - Mike Kelly: just looked at their "drop test" looked like a render
Sep 21, 2015 11:40 AM - Mike Kelly: oh ok
Sep 21, 2015 11:40 AM - Mike Kelly: "filmed with a high speed camera"
Sep 21, 2015 11:40 AM - NFOsec: well, it would be equally wierd if "Kelly" or Suzy Favor Hamilton charged $599 vs. her $600/hour.
Sep 21, 2015 11:40 AM - Mike Kelly: they are such a smoke an mirrors kickstarter
Sep 21, 2015 11:41 AM - Mike Glass: blue petg just showed up, its like x-mas here today.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:41 AM - jbigler1986: that raised like $3 million
Sep 21, 2015 11:41 AM - daniel871: Wait WTF people actually use fishing line for cheap nylon prints.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:41 AM - Mike Kelly: yes
Sep 21, 2015 11:41 AM - NFOsec: spiderwire is probably the best one IMHO.
Sep 21, 2015 11:41 AM - Mike Kelly: and you can print with weed trimmer
Sep 21, 2015 11:41 AM - jbigler1986: why not. just get the right size. same with weed eater string
Sep 21, 2015 11:42 AM - daniel871: Seems like it would have all kinds of diameter tolerance issues.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:42 AM - Mike Kelly: the .065" is 1.651mm
Sep 21, 2015 11:42 AM - jbigler1986: although weed eater string you probably need to dry it
Sep 21, 2015 11:42 AM - Mike Kelly: you definitely do
Sep 21, 2015 11:42 AM - Mike Kelly: and like daniel said, it's not made at a very consistent diameter
Sep 21, 2015 11:42 AM - NFOsec: anyone see those "pre-lubricated" PLA spools going around?
    Sep 21, 2015 11:42 AM - jbigler1986: nope
Sep 21, 2015 11:42 AM - daniel871: Saw something about that last week.

Sep 21, 2015 11:42 AM - jbigler1986: seems like overkill on the pla

Sep 21, 2015 11:45 AM - NFOsec: Now, if we could just get a picture of "customers also bought" (add a Robo3D or other 3DP)
    Sep 21, 2015 11:45 AM - daniel871: Out of stock.
    Sep 21, 2015 11:45 AM - daniel871: :(

Sep 21, 2015 12:12 PM - Mike Glass: Hey don I got the digisparks working now to test the lights but not sure how they hookup
Sep 21, 2015 12:12 PM - Mike Kelly: also true

Sep 21, 2015 12:13 PM - Mike Glass: Hey you dont eff with glass
Sep 21, 2015 12:13 PM - daniel871: That particular bit of glass was probably dropped by slave laborers.
Sep 21, 2015 12:14 PM - donhuevo: which lights did you get?

Sep 21, 2015 12:16 PM - donhuevo: alrighty... 6 soldering pads and good markings on the back
Sep 21, 2015 12:16 PM - donhuevo: they daisy chain
Sep 21, 2015 12:17 PM - daniel871: Turns out that kid that "built" the clock for that class cheated. Here is the kind of clock he stripped and stuff in a pencil box. http://i.xomf.com/lwlxr.jpg
Sep 21, 2015 12:17 PM - Mike Glass: yep, looks simple enough
Sep 21, 2015 12:17 PM - donhuevo: 5v goes in and out of each onto the next
Sep 21, 2015 12:17 PM - donhuevo: the Din and Dout also
Sep 21, 2015 12:17 PM - daniel871: Knew I'd seen that big red LCD somewhere before. I had that alarm clock for years before it finally died and I started using my phone for my alarm clock.
Sep 21, 2015 12:17 PM - Mike Glass: Hopefully I should be able to test it tonight
Sep 21, 2015 12:18 PM - Mike Glass: now that I understand the digispark
Sep 21, 2015 12:18 PM - donhuevo: first one in the chain connects to the arduino
    Sep 21, 2015 12:18 PM - donhuevo: or digispark
Sep 21, 2015 12:18 PM - donhuevo: so one digital pin runs them all
Sep 21, 2015 12:19 PM - Mike Glass: yep, so just need 5v to the lights
Sep 21, 2015 12:19 PM - donhuevo: which the digispark may already have available
    Sep 21, 2015 12:20 PM - Mike Glass: yes it has a 5v regulator
    Sep 21, 2015 12:20 PM - donhuevo: and boom.
Sep 21, 2015 12:21 PM - Mike Glass: not sure how many it would handle though
Sep 21, 2015 12:22 PM - donhuevo: you can always switch to an external power supply and then just run the digital wire to the digispark
Sep 21, 2015 12:23 PM - donhuevo: this makes the wiring really clear... [IMG]
Sep 21, 2015 12:23 PM - Mike Glass: yea, it will mostly be run off battery, at least for the chair, for the robo not sure what I need to do there for the temp monitoring

    Sep 21, 2015 12:24 PM - Mike Glass: lm317 work for that
Sep 21, 2015 12:24 PM - NFOsec: those remind me of the ADAfruit Floras.

Sep 21, 2015 12:25 PM - daniel871: Also LOL at whoever pitched in with the $1 USB cable.
Sep 21, 2015 12:25 PM - NFOsec: well, you build the foundation for a rudimentary bomb, you BET you're going to get some freebies.
    Sep 21, 2015 12:25 PM - daniel871: Nah. It was literally a repackaged clock.
Sep 21, 2015 12:25 PM - Mike Glass: that aint nothing, you should see his car.
    Sep 21, 2015 12:26 PM - NFOsec: yeah.

    Sep 21, 2015 12:27 PM - daniel871: I'm just glad he didn't get shot.
Sep 21, 2015 12:27 PM - NFOsec: but the original video I saw of him had a radical religious book behind him on the shelf.
Sep 21, 2015 12:27 PM - daniel871: Or baton-whipped in the face like that one kid last year.
Sep 21, 2015 12:28 PM - NFOsec: regardless, still great to see that Radioshack will still have some customers in the future.
Sep 21, 2015 12:28 PM - daniel871: I like how everyone focuses on whether it looked like a bomb or not instead of the part where the cops detained him illegally for several hours and refused to contact his parents or allow anyone else to contact them.
Sep 21, 2015 12:29 PM - Mike Glass: Radioshack..lol it will be gone soon
Sep 21, 2015 12:29 PM - daniel871: Radioshack is already gone from around here.
Sep 21, 2015 12:30 PM - Bill Monroe: how do you figure it was illegal?
Sep 21, 2015 12:31 PM - NFOsec: grabbed some "fire" and "midnight" semiflex. Prime rulez
Sep 21, 2015 12:31 PM - NFOsec: nothing illegal about what little Johan did.
Sep 21, 2015 12:31 PM - jbigler1986: radioshack is gone around here too
Sep 21, 2015 12:31 PM - daniel871: There are actual laws about police being required to immediately contact the parents of any students they are holding under suspicion of a crime.
    Sep 21, 2015 12:32 PM - Mike Glass: just got some pet-g
Sep 21, 2015 12:32 PM - NFOsec: the problem Bill lies with the fact that terrorist suceed in either causing financial loss or fear. In this case, they suceeded because the school was "scared".
Sep 21, 2015 12:32 PM - jbigler1986: they were trying to sell me the whole racks of capacitors and switches. Including the rack itself
Sep 21, 2015 12:32 PM - NFOsec: yeah, I have one of those coming tomorrow, decided to try the stainless steel as well.
Sep 21, 2015 12:32 PM - Mike Glass: gonna start printing parts for MPCNC-2
Sep 21, 2015 12:33 PM - Mike Kelly: *raises eyebrow*
Sep 21, 2015 12:33 PM - Bill Monroe: so, NFO, you'
Sep 21, 2015 12:33 PM - daniel871: Also, the police physically removed him from the school campus and took him to a juvenile detention center without contacting his parents.
    Sep 21, 2015 12:33 PM - Bill Monroe: you're labeling the kid a terrorist
Sep 21, 2015 12:34 PM - Mike Kelly: richard dawkins raises an interesting point
Sep 21, 2015 12:34 PM - daniel871: Dick Dorkins never raises any interesting points.
Sep 21, 2015 12:34 PM - Mike Kelly: good rebuttal
Sep 21, 2015 12:35 PM - donhuevo: wondering what Richard Dawson from Hogan's Heroes would rebutt with
Sep 21, 2015 12:35 PM - daniel871: Why would a kid cobble together some electronics for an engineering class that wasn't "I need to put something together that works so I don't fail this assignment"?
Sep 21, 2015 12:36 PM - Mike Kelly: whatever the motivation he sure got something out of it
Sep 21, 2015 12:36 PM - Bill Monroe: ya, the kids actions were suspicious and atypical
Sep 21, 2015 12:36 PM - daniel871: Literally the only reason to contemplate "motives" is because you're being a racist because of his name and skin color. A white kid building the same thing wouldn't have had anything happen to him.
Sep 21, 2015 12:36 PM - Mike Kelly: hopefully the motivation was innocent but we'll never know
Sep 21, 2015 12:36 PM - Mike Kelly: certainly proved racism still exists
Sep 21, 2015 12:36 PM - Bill Monroe: and, violating the school's policy
    Sep 21, 2015 12:37 PM - Bill Monroe: gawd..

Sep 21, 2015 12:37 PM - Mike Kelly: "No clocks allowed"
Sep 21, 2015 12:37 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah whoever that teacher was should work for the TSA
Sep 21, 2015 12:37 PM - Bill Monroe: No personal electronics
Sep 21, 2015 12:37 PM - Mike Kelly: they might actually catch something
Sep 21, 2015 12:37 PM - Mike Kelly: granted i'm sure the "random screenings" would continue in the same non-random trend
Sep 21, 2015 12:38 PM - daniel871: "Wanna touch those tits. Pull that woman aside for screening"
Sep 21, 2015 12:39 PM - Mike Kelly: "wearing a turban? random screening" "But I'm a Sihk!" "That's what all the terrorists say"
    Sep 21, 2015 12:39 PM - Mike Kelly: #AmericanFreedoms
Sep 21, 2015 12:40 PM - donhuevo: I'm gonna start looking for another planet now
    Sep 21, 2015 12:40 PM - Mike Glass: Uranus?
Sep 21, 2015 12:40 PM - NFOsec: sihks are NOT of the terrorist breed.
    Sep 21, 2015 12:40 PM - NFOsec: others perhaps.
Sep 21, 2015 12:40 PM - Mike Kelly: that was the joke
Sep 21, 2015 12:40 PM - Mike Kelly: i should apply to some of those jobs in germany
    Sep 21, 2015 12:41 PM - NFOsec: well, they don't give a sihk.
    Sep 21, 2015 12:41 PM - NFOsec: ok.
Sep 21, 2015 12:42 PM - NFOsec: well, don, don't put all your eggs in one basket, you should look into other galaxies.
    Sep 21, 2015 12:42 PM - donhuevo: oh definitely
    Sep 21, 2015 12:42 PM - NFOsec: Perhaps join Salazaar's mob squad?
Sep 21, 2015 12:43 PM - donhuevo: I just came up with a new reality show in the vein of the current survival shows on now
Sep 21, 2015 12:44 PM - donhuevo: living entirely off of amazon
    Sep 21, 2015 12:44 PM - donhuevo: food, water,
    Sep 21, 2015 12:44 PM - daniel871: Too easy.
Sep 21, 2015 12:44 PM - donhuevo: movies... all the essentials

Sep 21, 2015 12:45 PM - daniel871: Well, Big Brother is still going and that's literally about watching people locked in a house go crazy with boredom.
Sep 21, 2015 12:45 PM - Mike Glass: I ordered stuff on saturday, wasnt suppose to be here till tomorrow, came in today..
Sep 21, 2015 12:45 PM - donhuevo: same here... 2 day has turned into 1 day
Sep 21, 2015 12:46 PM - Mike Glass: that never happens, specially here in the middle of nowhere.
Sep 21, 2015 12:46 PM - NFOsec: I live less than 15 miles from an Amazon distribution center, so those same day/next day things are definitely cool for Amazon fulfilled.
Sep 21, 2015 12:47 PM - NFOsec: daniel: yeah, and it will continue to go.
Sep 21, 2015 12:47 PM - daniel871: Did anything happen with that Mars expedition?
Sep 21, 2015 12:47 PM - daniel871: Or did they get launched and die in transit with everything being kept hush hush?
Sep 21, 2015 12:48 PM - NFOsec: the studio they were filming the excursion in had caught fire, so when they get a new spot they'll resume filming.
    Sep 21, 2015 12:48 PM - NFOsec: LOL
Sep 21, 2015 12:49 PM - jbigler1986: yeah I get same day stuff too. order before 12 and you can get it same day

Sep 21, 2015 12:52 PM - Mike Kelly: yup, i only did 2mm but i think that should be enough
Sep 21, 2015 12:53 PM - jbigler1986: i need to make the recess for the bowden clip on the v6
Sep 21, 2015 12:53 PM - Mike Kelly: it should have clearance for that
    Sep 21, 2015 12:54 PM - jbigler1986: hmmm
Sep 21, 2015 12:54 PM - Mike Kelly: did it not?
Sep 21, 2015 12:54 PM - jbigler1986: pretty sure i had to drill it out
Sep 21, 2015 12:54 PM - jbigler1986: then it's a snug fit and if i want to remove the hotend the bowden clip gets stuck and it pops out. i have to reinsert it
Sep 21, 2015 12:55 PM - Mike Kelly: hmm ok i guess it needed more
Sep 21, 2015 12:55 PM - jbigler1986: is that what the "cut out" is for?
Sep 21, 2015 1:15 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah, i guess i need to make it larger
    Sep 21, 2015 1:18 PM - BryZad: Hi all

    Sep 21, 2015 1:30 PM - BryZad: That's what I got Mike lol
Sep 21, 2015 1:30 PM - daniel871: As in the livestock, not the police.

Sep 21, 2015 1:31 PM - daniel871: Some pretty funny things along the lines of the Jared images are being made.
Sep 21, 2015 1:32 PM - Mike Glass: Hey bry you might want to try PEI, just got mine today.
    Sep 21, 2015 1:33 PM - daniel871: Have you mounted it yet?

    Sep 21, 2015 1:41 PM - BryZad: What's pei ?
Sep 21, 2015 1:46 PM - Mike Glass: its a sheet for printing on
Sep 21, 2015 1:48 PM - daniel871: I may need some help figuring out a way to get the LCD display working on the Rambo later. I have the adapter for it, but I keep getting white squares on the LCD (direct PC USB connection and phone USB connection can control it though)
Sep 21, 2015 1:56 PM - daniel871: Gotta be some setting in the firmware somewhere because I know I've seen a couple threads around here where the same thing happened on the Ramps.
Sep 21, 2015 2:24 PM - Mike Glass: ok this thing is bizzare. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:398324
Sep 21, 2015 2:26 PM - Mike Kelly: definitely confused by that MG
    Sep 21, 2015 2:27 PM - donhuevo: using the two 350mm rods for x... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SG134DU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
Sep 21, 2015 2:27 PM - donhuevo: one rod is 7.98mm the other is 8.01
Sep 21, 2015 2:27 PM - donhuevo: and too much variance for the Igus LM8UU's
    Sep 21, 2015 2:28 PM - Mike Glass: youch
    Sep 21, 2015 2:28 PM - Mike Kelly: lame
Sep 21, 2015 2:30 PM - Mike Glass: this is what I use now on mine. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BBF9SY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
Sep 21, 2015 2:33 PM - donhuevo: granted my calipers are uncertified but still
Sep 21, 2015 2:42 PM - Mike Glass: they are uncertified. oh mg
    Sep 21, 2015 2:44 PM - donhuevo: lol
    Sep 21, 2015 2:59 PM - Mike Glass: 16 vs 20 tooth would 16 have more torque?
    Sep 21, 2015 3:05 PM - donhuevo: ummmm
Sep 21, 2015 3:06 PM - Mike Glass: ok thanks
    Sep 21, 2015 3:10 PM - donhuevo: ummmm
    Sep 21, 2015 3:10 PM - donhuevo: not sure I agree
Sep 21, 2015 3:10 PM - donhuevo: and it depends
Sep 21, 2015 3:13 PM - Mike Glass: it would be less rotations right?
Sep 21, 2015 3:16 PM - Mike Kelly: uhm, no that's a pretty fundamental rule of gearing
Sep 21, 2015 3:16 PM - Mike Kelly: 35:1 will spin slower but produce more torque
Sep 21, 2015 3:16 PM - Mike Kelly: at the output
    Sep 21, 2015 3:16 PM - Mike Kelly: vs say 5:1
Sep 21, 2015 3:26 PM - donhuevo: depends on the application... 16 tooth gear at the end of a stepper to drive a belt is torquier than a 20 tooth
Sep 21, 2015 3:41 PM - donhuevo: for every revolution, which one moves the belt farther?
    Sep 21, 2015 3:41 PM - Mike Kelly: the 16
Sep 21, 2015 3:41 PM - Mike Kelly: wait no
Sep 21, 2015 3:42 PM - Mike Kelly: the 20 has a larger circumfrance thus 1 revolution will move the belt more
    Sep 21, 2015 3:42 PM - Mike Kelly: hmm
Sep 21, 2015 3:42 PM - Mike Kelly: crap now you have me confused
Sep 21, 2015 3:42 PM - donhuevo: and thus less torque
Sep 21, 2015 3:42 PM - Mike Kelly: you win this round
    Sep 21, 2015 3:42 PM - donhuevo: haha
Sep 21, 2015 3:43 PM - Mike Kelly: total brain fart on that one, sorry about that
Sep 21, 2015 3:43 PM - Mike Kelly: because the closer you are to the drive shaft the more torque
Sep 21, 2015 3:46 PM - donhuevo: brain farts happen
Sep 21, 2015 4:49 PM - Mike Kelly: Do you think they sell mini bottles of 30 year scotch? Seems unlikely to me
    Sep 21, 2015 5:21 PM - jbigler1986: fucking phone
Sep 21, 2015 5:22 PM - jbigler1986: just randomly restarted earlier and deleted everything. recovering everything now
Sep 21, 2015 5:36 PM - Sonny's Robo3D: No sure if anyone on know - but If I want to update Marlin - do I put the files over the firmware files or put it in a separate "marlin" folder?
Sep 21, 2015 6:51 PM - Mike Glass: Hey don you around?
Sep 21, 2015 8:22 PM - Sims Reaper: Hey guys, so this last weekend I was filling up my truck, and for some reason the pumps were running slow. After about 2 min of holding the nozzle handle, I snap, because all the gas stations got rid of that little latch.
Sep 21, 2015 8:23 PM - Sims Reaper: Then I realize, OMG I have a bloody 3D printer. Some autodesk, and viola
    Sep 21, 2015 8:31 PM - Sims Reaper: [IMG]
Sep 21, 2015 8:39 PM - nonmindo: image didnt load for me here at work(blocks cloud storage)...but based off what it is i think it would be super useful, did you upload it to thingiverse or anything?
Sep 21, 2015 8:57 PM - krouton3: well that tip didnt come out well on the sword
Sep 21, 2015 8:57 PM - krouton3: ut owell was gonna sand and dull downt he tip anyways

Sep 22, 2015 4:53 AM - jbigler1986: not bad. things in my case are going really well finally. My phone decided to restart yesterday and delete everything. So I spent all last night recovering all that I could
    Sep 22, 2015 4:55 AM - Bill Monroe: phones

Sep 22, 2015 4:59 AM - Bill Monroe: sorta.. i'm going to look for other work just to see what I can find.. if nothing attractive comes along by years end, I'll pull the plug, sell the sane diego place and more to JT full time.. retire
Sep 22, 2015 5:00 AM - Bill Monroe: got the problems with my CBC router sorted out yesterday though.. that ended the day nicely
    Sep 22, 2015 5:01 AM - jbigler1986: cbc?
Sep 22, 2015 5:01 AM - Bill Monroe: oops CNC
    Sep 22, 2015 5:03 AM - jbigler1986: so it's working now?
Sep 22, 2015 5:04 AM - Bill Monroe: all the motion and interfaces are working.. still need to tune the servos and calibrate it, make a worksurface, etc.. just details
    Sep 22, 2015 5:04 AM - jbigler1986: got any pictures?
Sep 22, 2015 5:06 AM - Bill Monroe: not yet.. but they'll be coming

Sep 22, 2015 5:51 AM - daniel871: You should watch it if it airs again this week. It was actually pretty funny.
Sep 22, 2015 5:52 AM - daniel871: Not for kids though. First episode features a sideline of a kid finding out Santa Claus isn't real.
Sep 22, 2015 5:53 AM - daniel871: And being all "What else isn't real? The Tooth Fairy? The Easter Bunny? GOD?!"
Sep 22, 2015 5:55 AM - daniel871: "No, honey, that last one is real" "I'm going to need some time alone for a bit while you and dad figure out how to rebuild your credibility"
    Sep 22, 2015 5:56 AM - JeffTheMess: lol
Sep 22, 2015 5:58 AM - daniel871: Also the grandpa doing an early funeral for himself because he thinks he'll get to hear all kinds of good things people think about him and getting mad when that doesn't pan out.

    Sep 22, 2015 6:44 AM - daniel871: Blah, feel like I'm getting sick again.
    Sep 22, 2015 6:44 AM - daniel871: I was *just* sick a couple weeks ago.
Sep 22, 2015 6:45 AM - Bill Monroe: i'm violently ill.. but that's because I've been reading about Fiorina
Sep 22, 2015 6:45 AM - jbigler1986: yeah i was sick then got over it. then a week later i got sick again. I just got over it esterday

Sep 22, 2015 6:46 AM - JeffTheMess: its that time of year
Sep 22, 2015 6:46 AM - daniel871: I'm trying to figure out what the problem is.
Sep 22, 2015 6:47 AM - daniel871: Other than her being nominally Republican.
    Sep 22, 2015 6:47 AM - daniel871: ;)
Sep 22, 2015 6:47 AM - Bill Monroe: she single-handedly ruined one of the foundations of business in my city, and still doesnt acknowledge it
Sep 22, 2015 6:47 AM - Bill Monroe: and boy, you think Hilary is a liar?
Sep 22, 2015 6:48 AM - Bill Monroe: i cant wait for 3rd quarter next year
Sep 22, 2015 6:50 AM - daniel871: She's disgusting for her role in lying about what happens at Planned Parenthood, but I don't see anything about her ruining businesses herself.
    Sep 22, 2015 6:50 AM - JeffTheMess: (i have a feeling that bill doesn't like Hilary)
Sep 22, 2015 6:50 AM - Bill Monroe: you didnt live in the shadow of HP
    Sep 22, 2015 6:54 AM - daniel871: What does that even mean?
Sep 22, 2015 6:54 AM - Bill Monroe: She almost killed HP
Sep 22, 2015 6:55 AM - Bill Monroe: when they finally ousted her, it took her sucessor almost 8 years to get into the black
    Sep 22, 2015 6:55 AM - Bill Monroe: basically, she's a delusional idiot
Sep 22, 2015 6:57 AM - Bill Monroe: she had a meeting with putin once.. ONCE.. for no state reason.. now she says she had foreign policy expeirence
Sep 22, 2015 6:57 AM - Bill Monroe: and the scarry thing is, she actually believes that
Sep 22, 2015 6:57 AM - Bill Monroe: I'd like to know who's funding her campaign since, they'll equally clueless
Sep 22, 2015 6:58 AM - daniel871: So she's the female version of Trump with better hair?
Sep 22, 2015 6:59 AM - Bill Monroe: Trump is in a class by himself :)
Sep 22, 2015 6:59 AM - daniel871: Has she ever actually filed bankruptcy in a company she ran?
Sep 22, 2015 6:59 AM - daniel871: Trump has her beat there, three times over.
Sep 22, 2015 7:00 AM - daniel871: The whole Republican field is abysmal, really.
Sep 22, 2015 7:00 AM - Bill Monroe: they're all, not just the pubs
Sep 22, 2015 7:00 AM - Bill Monroe: i mean one word. Hillary
Sep 22, 2015 7:01 AM - Bill Monroe: my gawd.. I'm heading for Canada
Sep 22, 2015 7:01 AM - daniel871: The Pubs are the only ones I'm seeing making stupid remarks about black people and muslims not being real citizens.
Sep 22, 2015 7:01 AM - Bill Monroe: people to profess to be pubs are saying it.. dont put the blame on the whole party
Sep 22, 2015 7:01 AM - daniel871: Or saying that POWs aren't heroes for enduring torture until they were rescued.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:02 AM - jbigler1986: Bill I will go with you
Sep 22, 2015 7:02 AM - daniel871: Is Mike Huckabee not part of the Party?
    Sep 22, 2015 7:02 AM - jbigler1986: i'm bringing my kids though
Sep 22, 2015 7:02 AM - Bill Monroe: he's one guy.. wake up and stop drinking the koolaide
Sep 22, 2015 7:03 AM - Bill Monroe: Canada is real nice
Sep 22, 2015 7:03 AM - Bill Monroe: but its a little difficult for ex-pats to live there
    Sep 22, 2015 7:04 AM - Bill Monroe: bring 'em justin.. let's start a soccer team :)
Sep 22, 2015 7:04 AM - daniel871: There's always Australia if you want to go to the other former British penal colony.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:04 AM - jbigler1986: nah
Sep 22, 2015 7:04 AM - Bill Monroe: keyword "former"
    Sep 22, 2015 7:05 AM - daniel871: You'd rather go to a current penal colony?
Sep 22, 2015 7:06 AM - daniel871: Also yeah, Australia has that "literally every native bit of wildlife can and will probably try to kill you" thing.
Sep 22, 2015 7:06 AM - jbigler1986: Australia is nice. It's very expensive to live in the nice places though
    Sep 22, 2015 7:06 AM - daniel871: Also huge spiders.
Sep 22, 2015 7:07 AM - daniel871: Like that Huntsman spider that gets as big as a small dog, or the Goliath Bird-eating spider that actually leaps onto low-flying birds and eats them.
Sep 22, 2015 7:09 AM - Bill Monroe: i'm going through my severence package enhancement
    Sep 22, 2015 7:09 AM - jbigler1986:
    Sep 22, 2015 7:09 AM - jbigler1986: no thanks
    Sep 22, 2015 7:13 AM - daniel871: What about Malta, Bill?
Sep 22, 2015 7:13 AM - daniel871: I hear that's pretty much the best place to go to.
Sep 22, 2015 7:16 AM - Bill Monroe: i dont know anything about Malta
Sep 22, 2015 7:16 AM - Bill Monroe: i do know a couple of people that did early retirement and moved to Costa Rica
Sep 22, 2015 7:17 AM - Bill Monroe: they're each living like kings

Sep 22, 2015 7:17 AM - daniel871: It's supposed to be a really cool retirement place, except in the Mediterranean instead of the Caribbean.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:19 AM - daniel871: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malta
Sep 22, 2015 7:19 AM - daniel871: Check out the section about the climate.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:19 AM - daniel871: Always between 50-90F year round.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:19 AM - daniel871: Man.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:45 AM - Mike Kelly: morning
    Sep 22, 2015 7:49 AM - NFOsec: morning.
Sep 22, 2015 7:50 AM - daniel871: I wish the tracking system would make up it's mind. Now my limit switches are coming in today instead of the 24th.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:51 AM - daniel871: I don't know WTF now.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:51 AM - jbigler1986: morning MK and nfo
Sep 22, 2015 7:52 AM - Mike Kelly: how are things up in here
    Sep 22, 2015 7:53 AM - daniel871: Eh.
Sep 22, 2015 7:56 AM - daniel871: If I can't get the LCD to work with the Rambo due to bad cables or whatever the issue is (got a support email in to Ultimachine since the firmware checks out according to their Wiki), what would be required to get a tablet working to control the printer? Just a powered USB hub so it doesn't drain the battery while a print is running?
Sep 22, 2015 7:57 AM - Mike Kelly: jb print any parts
    Sep 22, 2015 7:57 AM - Mike Kelly: that's a good question daniel
Sep 22, 2015 7:58 AM - jbigler1986: nope. trying to find a way to even get the extruder to print without installing the old carriage to do it
    Sep 22, 2015 7:58 AM - Mike Kelly: ah
    Sep 22, 2015 7:59 AM - jbigler1986: i am so pissed right now
Sep 22, 2015 8:01 AM - NFOsec: jbig: blame the designer.
Sep 22, 2015 8:03 AM - jbigler1986: so I told my ex on friday that I would call my kids on saturday at 12. I called saturday and she didn't answer. I texted her and asked her what time I could call to talk to the kids. No response all day saturday. I texted her sunday at 10am and asked what time I could call and talk to the kids on sunday. She texted me at 4pm telling me I could call at 7pm.
Sep 22, 2015 8:03 AM - daniel871: For that matter, what would be a good hub to get that would actually keep my device charged? The basic ones I'm pulling up say they won't keep a tablet charged.
Sep 22, 2015 8:04 AM - jbigler1986: So while talking to my oldest son I asked him if he won his soccer game on saturday. He said "My game was cancelled. Right mom?" She said yes. So i contacted his coach to see if they played saturaday or not. They played saturday but my son wasn't there.
    Sep 22, 2015 8:05 AM - Mike Kelly: :(
Sep 22, 2015 8:05 AM - Bill Monroe: sounds familiar
Sep 22, 2015 8:05 AM - daniel871: Did you tell the coach that you'd need something in writing to give the judge next hearing?
Sep 22, 2015 8:05 AM - jbigler1986: So my buddy sends me a picture a little bit ago that my ex posted on facebook sunday with her and her boyfriend.
Sep 22, 2015 8:06 AM - jbigler1986: I guarentee you that is what she was doing on saturday and left my kids with her mom. I don't care that she was with her boyfirend. Just give me my damn kids and I will take him to his soccer game
    Sep 22, 2015 8:06 AM - jbigler1986: Pisses me off
Sep 22, 2015 8:06 AM - Mike Kelly: so selfish
Sep 22, 2015 8:07 AM - jbigler1986: yep. I bet she does it all of the time. That is why I am so glad that I got a guardian ad litem. For that info to come out
    Sep 22, 2015 8:08 AM - Bill Monroe: ^^
Sep 22, 2015 8:08 AM - jbigler1986: Go be with your boyfriend. I honestly don't care. I just want my fucking kids and her to stop being so damn childish
Sep 22, 2015 8:10 AM - daniel871: I guarantee you that if you weren't calling all the time she'd have been reversing things and calling you to come get them.
    Sep 22, 2015 8:11 AM - daniel871: It's spite.
    Sep 22, 2015 8:14 AM - Mike Kelly: http://formlabs.com/products/3d-printers/form-2/ Form 2
Sep 22, 2015 8:15 AM - jbigler1986: I know it's spite. So selfish. Absolutely not the best interest of her kids. That's clear
    Sep 22, 2015 8:16 AM - jbigler1986: holy hell on the laser
    Sep 22, 2015 8:16 AM - Mike Kelly: right? .145mm
    Sep 22, 2015 8:17 AM - jbigler1986: cartridges now?
Sep 22, 2015 8:17 AM - Mike Kelly: they may be refillable
Sep 22, 2015 8:17 AM - Mike Kelly: but i think it's just a way of controlling output
    Sep 22, 2015 8:18 AM - jbigler1986: i am fine with it. Less of a mess too
Sep 22, 2015 8:18 AM - Mike Kelly: it has an open mode
    Sep 22, 2015 8:19 AM - jbigler1986: the quality is crazy
    Sep 22, 2015 8:19 AM - jbigler1986: they have flex resin
Sep 22, 2015 8:20 AM - Mike Kelly: yeah if i made miniatures i'd use SLA
Sep 22, 2015 8:20 AM - Mike Kelly: the quality is top notch
    Sep 22, 2015 8:22 AM - jbigler1986: wow. 1l of resin can only do 90 11mm rooks
    Sep 22, 2015 8:23 AM - jbigler1986: for over $100 a liter that is madness
    Sep 22, 2015 8:28 AM - Mike Glass: morning
    Sep 22, 2015 8:28 AM - jbigler1986: good afternoon
Sep 22, 2015 8:29 AM - daniel871: Yeah, I'm trying to figure out what I'd use an SLA to print that would justify the price that isn't "Get the really expensive metal resins, print custom jewelry" path.
    Sep 22, 2015 8:29 AM - Mike Glass: ? not yet
    Sep 22, 2015 8:29 AM - jbigler1986: i'm overseas
    Sep 22, 2015 8:29 AM - jbigler1986: jk
    Sep 22, 2015 8:29 AM - Mike Glass: madrid?
    Sep 22, 2015 8:30 AM - jbigler1986: nah. Israel. I heard it's an awesome place
Sep 22, 2015 8:30 AM - Mike Glass: think im going to order these charms. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/5Pcs...g-wheel-Gear-stainless-steel/32437074113.html
    Sep 22, 2015 8:31 AM - jbigler1986: i ordered 2 of those. MK has them
Sep 22, 2015 8:31 AM - Mike Glass: what are you using them for?
Sep 22, 2015 8:32 AM - jbigler1986: probably use them as the direct drive drive gear if they work well
Sep 22, 2015 8:33 AM - Mike Glass: im going to try on the flintextruder, they also have a mk8 version now
    Sep 22, 2015 8:33 AM - jbigler1986: [IMG]
Sep 22, 2015 8:38 AM - daniel871: That "hotend heatup after autolevel" thread may have me facepalming a bruise in a few minutes.
Sep 22, 2015 8:42 AM - daniel871: Sounds like the guy deleted G29 and then wondered why Autolevel wasn't working any more.
    Sep 22, 2015 8:43 AM - jbigler1986: woops
Sep 22, 2015 8:46 AM - Mike Glass: man that resin is expensive for the form2
Sep 22, 2015 8:46 AM - Mike Kelly: yes it is
    Sep 22, 2015 8:47 AM - Mike Glass: is the mk8 gear for both 1.75 and 3mm
Sep 22, 2015 8:47 AM - Mike Kelly: not necessarily
Sep 22, 2015 8:51 AM - daniel871: How long is the resin good for once you break the seal on it and start printing?
    Sep 22, 2015 8:51 AM - Mike Glass: 10 minutes
Sep 22, 2015 8:51 AM - daniel871: Or is it like a sublimation printer where the resin will expire eventually so there is no point in trying to stock it and you'd better run as much of it at once as you can?
Sep 22, 2015 8:59 AM - NFOsec: man, nothing worse than sublimination ink drying up/expiring.
Sep 22, 2015 8:59 AM - NFOsec: especially at the rate they cost.
Sep 22, 2015 9:00 AM - Mike Kelly: i don't think it expires per se, but it has issues being "reused"
Sep 22, 2015 9:03 AM - jbigler1986: just think of how awesome yodas will look
Sep 22, 2015 9:03 AM - daniel871: At least with sublimation ink you have some time. The starter pack my mom got with her printer is good until April of next year.
Sep 22, 2015 9:04 AM - NFOsec: well, really it's an environmental/storage thing too. ink left in a system can dry faster than one in storage unused.
Sep 22, 2015 9:05 AM - daniel871: I think that's what the reservoir in the printer is for. Supposedly purging the bits of ink that sit in the print heads waiting for a job if they start to go bad or whatever.
    Sep 22, 2015 9:05 AM - daniel871: (the one you're supposed to dump/replace every now and then)
Sep 22, 2015 9:06 AM - jbigler1986: will be 2 months here soon. freaking awesome. not
Sep 22, 2015 9:07 AM - jbigler1986: daniel what are you waiting on for your printer?
    Sep 22, 2015 9:09 AM - bamhm182: hey everyone
    Sep 22, 2015 9:09 AM - jbigler1986: hello
Sep 22, 2015 9:09 AM - daniel871: Limit switches to replace the ones where the little trigger inside the stock Robo ones had managed to get stuck.
Sep 22, 2015 9:09 AM - bamhm182: I know MG uses a lot of heat-set inserts, but does anyone else here use them?
    Sep 22, 2015 9:10 AM - Mike Glass: ?
    Sep 22, 2015 9:10 AM - jbigler1986: MK
    Sep 22, 2015 9:10 AM - bamhm182: Oh, didn't see you there
Sep 22, 2015 9:11 AM - Mike Glass: just ordered the DMD chip for my dlp projector, hopefully thats all it needs.
Sep 22, 2015 9:11 AM - bamhm182: You were telling me that you don't need to make a hole for them, you can just press them in, right?
    Sep 22, 2015 9:11 AM - Mike Kelly: yes?
    Sep 22, 2015 9:11 AM - Mike Kelly: oh
Sep 22, 2015 9:11 AM - daniel871: Also I need to figure out a way to get the LCD to play with the Rambo board.
Sep 22, 2015 9:11 AM - bamhm182: How do you prevent the inside from filling with plastic?
Sep 22, 2015 9:11 AM - Mike Kelly: i've only used heat set from the bondtech
Sep 22, 2015 9:11 AM - Mike Glass: I was just using nuts bam
Sep 22, 2015 9:11 AM - bamhm182: Do you just stick an M3 bolt in there?
Sep 22, 2015 9:12 AM - Mike Kelly: the hole needs to be the right size

Sep 22, 2015 9:12 AM - daniel871: I either have a bad LCD screen or the adapter itself is bad.
    Sep 22, 2015 9:12 AM - jbigler1986: what is it for bam?
Sep 22, 2015 9:12 AM - daniel871: When I connect via USB I can read the SD card in the LCD screen assembly so I don't think the connections are bad, it's weird.
Sep 22, 2015 9:12 AM - Mike Glass: best of you drill out a little bit if you want to heat press
Sep 22, 2015 9:12 AM - bamhm182: Nothing in particular right now. I just bought some and was seeing about sticking them into this extruder I previously printed and had no plans on using
Sep 22, 2015 9:14 AM - WheresWaldo: Good Midday everyone.
    Sep 22, 2015 9:14 AM - Mike Glass: morning/afternoon Waldo
Sep 22, 2015 9:16 AM - WheresWaldo: Bam, I use heat set inserts all the time. Any time there is a nut trap, if I can use a heat set insert I modify the model. McMaster has CAD files of all their inserts as well as hole specs.
    Sep 22, 2015 9:16 AM - bamhm182: Alright, fair enough
Sep 22, 2015 9:17 AM - bamhm182: So I'm guessing you just want the hole to be about the same diameter as the smaller OD on the heat-set insert?
    Sep 22, 2015 9:17 AM - daniel871: Anyone else seen this? http://www.house4hack.co.za/makerdroid
    Sep 22, 2015 9:17 AM - daniel871: Uses Skeinforge to slice.
    Sep 22, 2015 9:17 AM - daniel871: Severely limited otherwise though.
Sep 22, 2015 9:18 AM - WheresWaldo: Yep, usually, for some inserts they make a tool, I just use a short screw and a soldering station.
Sep 22, 2015 9:20 AM - WheresWaldo: Dan are you using this adapter https://reprapelectro.com/product/rambo-smart-lcd-adapter/
    Sep 22, 2015 9:21 AM - daniel871: Yes.
    Sep 22, 2015 9:21 AM - jbigler1986: https://reprapelectro.com/product/full-graphics-smart-lcd-controller/ lol at the price
Sep 22, 2015 9:22 AM - WheresWaldo: Bam, I also wouldn't worry if a tiny bit of plastic gets in the way when using the insert. It kind of makes it work like a nylon insert nut.
    Sep 22, 2015 9:22 AM - Mike Glass: $12 part for $69. good deal
    Sep 22, 2015 9:22 AM - bamhm182: Fair enough, thanks
    Sep 22, 2015 9:22 AM - jbigler1986: doesn't include adapter either
Sep 22, 2015 9:23 AM - daniel871: Thing is, when I google about it the problem could be the adapter, the LCD cables, the LCD or the Rambo itself.
Sep 22, 2015 9:23 AM - donhuevo: ^ for what Waldo said. Love the heat-set inserts
Sep 22, 2015 9:24 AM - jbigler1986: no hello or anything. you just jump right in. :)
Sep 22, 2015 9:24 AM - WheresWaldo: Well even eBay is all over the place on price with the LCD Controllers. I ended up buying mine from Banggood because I had a coupon, Full Graphics ended up less than $10 with free shipping.
    Sep 22, 2015 9:24 AM - donhuevo: hi!
Sep 22, 2015 9:25 AM - WheresWaldo: Don, how is my mod working?
Sep 22, 2015 9:26 AM - donhuevo: sorry to say, I haven't gotten near it. I still need to create all those .bin files first
Sep 22, 2015 9:26 AM - Mike Glass: hey don
    Sep 22, 2015 9:26 AM - donhuevo: oh mg
    Sep 22, 2015 9:27 AM - jbigler1986: priorities. what are those
Sep 22, 2015 9:27 AM - WheresWaldo: While I have a few of you here, especially JB who has tried nearly every extruder known to mankind. Does anyone have any experience with the Bulldog?
    Sep 22, 2015 9:28 AM - jbigler1986: i do not
    Sep 22, 2015 9:28 AM - donhuevo: ^
    Sep 22, 2015 9:28 AM - jbigler1986: haven't really looked at it
Sep 22, 2015 9:28 AM - bamhm182: Anyways, got to go take care of a few things. I'll see you guys around
    Sep 22, 2015 9:28 AM - jbigler1986: see ya bam
    Sep 22, 2015 9:28 AM - donhuevo: ^
    Sep 22, 2015 9:28 AM - WheresWaldo: ditto
Sep 22, 2015 9:29 AM - jbigler1986: let me look it up really quick
Sep 22, 2015 9:30 AM - jbigler1986: really doesn't look much different than most extruders
    Sep 22, 2015 9:30 AM - jbigler1986: besides it being metal
Sep 22, 2015 9:31 AM - Mike Glass: Don, what do I need to hook up the lights to the arduino for the heat up sequence.
Sep 22, 2015 9:31 AM - donhuevo: the 5v buck converter and some wire
Sep 22, 2015 9:32 AM - WheresWaldo: Just wondered about it, supposed to be much stronger than the Greg's Wade.
    Sep 22, 2015 9:33 AM - donhuevo: mg.... look this over: https://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=63974
Sep 22, 2015 9:33 AM - jbigler1986: gregs wade isn't bad honestly. it works really well for direct
    Sep 22, 2015 9:33 AM - jbigler1986: it just doesn't like lots of retraction
Sep 22, 2015 9:35 AM - Mike Glass: does that convert the 12 volts to 5 volts then?
    Sep 22, 2015 9:36 AM - donhuevo: yep
    Sep 22, 2015 9:36 AM - Bill Monroe: back
Sep 22, 2015 9:40 AM - Mike Glass: so the power just goes to the lights and then what plugs into D42 and D44
Sep 22, 2015 9:40 AM - Mike Glass: just need one for the d(in)
Sep 22, 2015 9:41 AM - Mike Glass: I see you have them separated for each neo
Sep 22, 2015 9:42 AM - Mike Kelly: gotta love people who claim their parts defective when they broke it during assembly
    Sep 22, 2015 9:42 AM - Mike Kelly: uhhhh
Sep 22, 2015 9:44 AM - donhuevo: I have one neopixel mounted to the bed and the other two in the carriage. As they go in two different directions, I opted for two digital pins
Sep 22, 2015 9:45 AM - Mike Glass: Bed? where is that one.
Sep 22, 2015 9:48 AM - donhuevo: I have mine tucked in behind the unused screw hole in the front bracket
Sep 22, 2015 9:48 AM - Mike Glass: So this should work right? http://www.amazon.com/DROK-Switchin...2940467&sr=8-6&keywords=5+volt+buck+convertor
    Sep 22, 2015 9:50 AM - Mike Glass: actually I guess this one. http://www.amazon.com/DROK-Switchin...2940467&sr=8-6&keywords=5+volt+buck+convertor
    Sep 22, 2015 9:51 AM - donhuevo: probably?
Sep 22, 2015 9:52 AM - Mike Glass: those lights I got are effin bright
Sep 22, 2015 9:53 AM - Mike Glass: digisparks are kinda cool too.
Sep 22, 2015 9:54 AM - donhuevo: so you got them running! cool!!

Sep 22, 2015 9:55 AM - Mike Glass: Yea thats what I want to do, just have to do some drilling to inset the one on the bottom.

Sep 22, 2015 10:03 AM - daniel871: As in it runs slow as hell, not sure about wear and tear.
Sep 22, 2015 10:04 AM - daniel871: Spend half the time printing spare parts for the axes of movement.

Sep 22, 2015 10:44 AM - daniel871: Was there a sudden price drop on the Form1 as the Form2 came out? I seem to remember it being a lot more expensive.
Sep 22, 2015 10:45 AM - daniel871: More expensive than the current Form2 price, even.
Sep 22, 2015 10:46 AM - Mike Kelly: what is it now?
    Sep 22, 2015 10:48 AM - daniel871: $3500
    Sep 22, 2015 10:48 AM - daniel871: For the Form2

    Sep 22, 2015 10:48 AM - daniel871: Form1+ is now $2800
    Sep 22, 2015 10:48 AM - Mike Kelly: i think it's always been that, maybe like 2800
Sep 22, 2015 10:49 AM - daniel871: For some reason I was thinking it was double that.

Sep 22, 2015 11:07 AM - donhuevo: it gets sprinkled here and there in the firmware
Sep 22, 2015 11:07 AM - Mike Glass: do you just add a tab?
Sep 22, 2015 11:08 AM - Mike Glass: nvm, guess I should learn to read
    Sep 22, 2015 11:08 AM - donhuevo: haha
Sep 22, 2015 11:08 AM - donhuevo: those neopixel libraries need imported into the sketch first though
    Sep 22, 2015 11:09 AM - jbigler1986: you would
Sep 22, 2015 11:10 AM - Mike Glass: what version of arduino are you using now?
Sep 22, 2015 11:11 AM - Mike Glass: so the led for the bed does that do the warm up sequence as well?

Sep 22, 2015 11:51 AM - daniel871: What kind of filament is it?

Sep 22, 2015 11:55 AM - NFOsec: daniel: my shipment of semi-flex came in today.
Sep 22, 2015 11:55 AM - NFOsec: got sapphire, fire, midnight and white.
Sep 22, 2015 11:55 AM - daniel871: What are you going to make with it?
Sep 22, 2015 11:55 AM - donhuevo: jb needs a new pair of shoes
Sep 22, 2015 11:55 AM - NFOsec: I'm printing something in the fire (test print) but one thing I wanted to test was the flops.
Sep 22, 2015 11:56 AM - NFOsec: for jb: a "thong" shoe would be more than enough. I can't imagine the visual it provides, but simple 3-point string would suffice.
    Sep 22, 2015 11:56 AM - daniel871: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:929970
Sep 22, 2015 11:56 AM - NFOsec: the semi-flex fire is almost tempting to eat, reminds me of Twizzlers.
Sep 22, 2015 11:56 AM - NFOsec: soft consistency as well.
Sep 22, 2015 11:57 AM - NFOsec: the recommended speed was 30mm, so I'm starting this "test" collapsible cup I mocked up to see how it holds on build.
Sep 22, 2015 12:14 PM - Printed Solid: lol. don't eat the filament!
Sep 22, 2015 12:15 PM - Mike Kelly: NFO i felt the same way
Sep 22, 2015 12:15 PM - Mike Kelly: not sure if it was the color or consistency but something about it just said twizzlers
Sep 22, 2015 12:17 PM - krouton3: i seem to keep hearing a grinding noise almost from the x axis
Sep 22, 2015 12:17 PM - jbigler1986: Matt. when are you sending that label
Sep 22, 2015 12:17 PM - Mike Glass: oil it up krouty
Sep 22, 2015 12:19 PM - Mike Glass: I need some flex samples, so I can see if it will work.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:19 PM - Mike Glass: I need a 70 meter sample..lol
Sep 22, 2015 12:20 PM - krouton3: well im midway through a print so oiling will have to wait lol
Sep 22, 2015 12:21 PM - Mike Glass: belt loose?
Sep 22, 2015 12:22 PM - Mike Glass: Mike did you order endmill bits?
Sep 22, 2015 12:24 PM - donhuevo: speaking of samples... how many lm8uu's did Igus send you?
Sep 22, 2015 12:24 PM - Mike Kelly: not yet
Sep 22, 2015 12:26 PM - Mike Glass: don, they sent me ZERO.
Sep 22, 2015 12:26 PM - Mike Glass: the assgrinders
    Sep 22, 2015 12:26 PM - daniel871: IGUS-style LM8UU are the new Tiko.
Sep 22, 2015 12:27 PM - donhuevo: they should work well with quality smooth rods.
Sep 22, 2015 12:28 PM - donhuevo: haven't given up on them yet
Sep 22, 2015 12:28 PM - donhuevo: but getting close
Sep 22, 2015 12:28 PM - Mike Glass: Thompsons are nice rods
Sep 22, 2015 12:28 PM - Mike Glass: but they dont stock them on amazon, just the 10 and 12 mm
Sep 22, 2015 12:29 PM - donhuevo: Igus sells aluminum smooth rods and they are exactly 8mm
Sep 22, 2015 12:29 PM - donhuevo: and nowhere near cheap
Sep 22, 2015 12:29 PM - daniel871: Robo QC is really slipping if that one poster is correct about neither of their Robo's having an SD card slot installed. :p

Sep 22, 2015 12:32 PM - Mike Glass: the sd card is not on the heatblock
Sep 22, 2015 12:32 PM - donhuevo: they need to add a flourescent sticker to the case... "Stick it in Here" with an arrow
Sep 22, 2015 12:32 PM - daniel871: R1++ feature "Added labels to point out SD card and USB port locations"
    Sep 22, 2015 12:32 PM - Mike Kelly: haha
Sep 22, 2015 12:32 PM - daniel871: Don's label could result in a completely different kind of problem.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:32 PM - donhuevo: maybe

    Sep 22, 2015 12:34 PM - donhuevo: I invent lots of crap
    Sep 22, 2015 12:35 PM - daniel871: Teledildonics
Sep 22, 2015 12:35 PM - NFOsec: actually, the SD slot on the R1+ is poorly positioned. it's easier to push the card in betewen the top or bottom of the slot than into the slot. I've had to open the bottom twice to retrieve the card, so I've resorted to not using it until I drop another solution in.
Sep 22, 2015 12:35 PM - jbigler1986: the sd card reader is inside the extruder
    Sep 22, 2015 12:36 PM - daniel871: Raspberry Pi + Octoprint
Sep 22, 2015 12:36 PM - Mike Kelly: anyone wanna share their T-Glase settings
Sep 22, 2015 12:36 PM - donhuevo: I thought it was that really big slot at the top of the case
Sep 22, 2015 12:36 PM - NFOsec: wait until it's script, people will have to sign their name in X format.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:36 PM - jbigler1986: haha
    Sep 22, 2015 12:36 PM - daniel871: I will when I rediscover them, MK.
Sep 22, 2015 12:36 PM - NFOsec: donhuevo, couldn't be, it was not square enough, the edges were roughly cracked off of a hacksaw effort.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:37 PM - NFOsec: Raspberry PI B+ + Octopussy
    Sep 22, 2015 12:37 PM - NFOsec: or was that |Octomom.

Sep 22, 2015 12:37 PM - daniel871: Ok, I've become an idiot when it comes to Amazon search apparently. Anyone know of a good powered USB hub I can use with a cheap tablet to run the Robo over USB?
Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - donhuevo: I just picked one up lemme go find it
    Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - daniel871: That way the tablet won't die before a print finishes?
    Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - jbigler1986: the amazon brand one
Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - donhuevo: oh wait... it was usb 3.0
    Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - jbigler1986: 7 ports
    Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - NFOsec: Yeah, it's called MatterHackingReguritatorControl.
Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - NFOsec: so you would run a Windows platform tablet?
    Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - jbigler1986: http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-...qid=1442950986&sr=8-3&keywords=amazon+usb+hub
Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - daniel871: I'm only looking because the USB on the Robo won't charge the tablet directly and it only has the one port.
Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - NFOsec: why not just pop wifi on the baby.
Sep 22, 2015 12:38 PM - NFOsec: so much easier.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:39 PM - donhuevo: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VDVCQ84?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
    Sep 22, 2015 12:39 PM - NFOsec: MC doesn't have batteries.
Sep 22, 2015 12:39 PM - NFOsec: Tablet is better powered on or power safe feature disabled.
Sep 22, 2015 12:40 PM - daniel871: Yeah, I would disable power save features on it.
Sep 22, 2015 12:40 PM - daniel871: Trying to determine whether it's easier/cheaper to do the powered hub + tablet or Raspberry Pi + Octoprint
Sep 22, 2015 12:41 PM - Mike Kelly: gonna try 240 on the extruder, 45 on bed, 30mm/s, and no cooling
Sep 22, 2015 12:41 PM - Mike Kelly: should only take 2 minutes to print this diffuser lol
    Sep 22, 2015 12:42 PM - jbigler1986: add 20%
    Sep 22, 2015 12:44 PM - daniel871: What size nozzle, MK?

  16. TaigaChat

    TaigaChat Guest

Sep 22, 2015 12:45 PM - daniel871: I always went 255 nozzle, 65 bed, 20mm/s but that was with the volcano and a huge nozzle.
Sep 22, 2015 12:47 PM - NFOsec: what kind of tablet.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:50 PM - Mike Kelly: .4
Sep 22, 2015 12:51 PM - NFOsec: MK: I explained to Wayne @ Printinz about the indentations that the hot-end made during the auto-leveling routine. it basically pock-marked the board, so I had to offset Z to a different number to accomodate the marks.
Sep 22, 2015 12:51 PM - NFOsec: the tension/strength of the mechanical probing is far too strong, wasn't sure if there was a way to adjust that.
Sep 22, 2015 12:52 PM - jbigler1986: i thought it had to be probed cold?
    Sep 22, 2015 12:52 PM - NFOsec: i did probe cold.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:53 PM - jbigler1986: damn. that sucks
Sep 22, 2015 12:53 PM - NFOsec: it was almost like dropping a CNC router into the plate.
Sep 22, 2015 12:53 PM - NFOsec: so I reduced the probing Z-speed until I was able to figure out how to mitigate further damage.
Sep 22, 2015 12:53 PM - NFOsec: but, I have to say, that zebra plate does wonders for no-stick.
Sep 22, 2015 12:55 PM - NFOsec: I had 1 concern on the PEI, one with the semi-flex (some areas adhered way too much on PEI so even at cold temps or hot temps, it suffered during lifts
Sep 22, 2015 12:57 PM - NFOsec: I think I'm going to mock up a buffie pad (nipple cap) and post up on Thingiverse.
Sep 22, 2015 12:57 PM - daniel871: It would be an Android tablet, or my Android phone in a pinch if I couldn't find a good cheap tablet that would work with the Google Play store.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:57 PM - jbigler1986: price range?
Sep 22, 2015 12:57 PM - NFOsec: so, what would you intall software-wise?
Sep 22, 2015 12:59 PM - daniel871: Only ArduinoDroid for updating firmware and GCode Printer.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:59 PM - NFOsec: I've got a Samsung Galaxy 7, Note 3, and an LG 7
    Sep 22, 2015 12:59 PM - NFOsec: interesting.
    Sep 22, 2015 12:59 PM - NFOsec: a 10" note on Robo3D would be like watching a 60" TV.
Sep 22, 2015 1:00 PM - daniel871: I can confirm that those apps already work with the Robo, as I was using my phone to update and fiddle with things, but not relying on it to run the printer as I had an LCD controller for that.
Sep 22, 2015 1:00 PM - daniel871: Gcode Printr was mainly used to manually cycle the axes around more rapidly than the LCD did since you had touch screen controls.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:00 PM - daniel871: Also sliders for temps and fan speeds/etc.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:01 PM - NFOsec: interesting. mmm.
Sep 22, 2015 1:01 PM - daniel871: That's why I was asking about a powered USB hub since (as in the case of my phone) power saving mode turns off automatically when it's plugged in and it just dims the screen when not actively navigating something for a few minutes.
Sep 22, 2015 1:02 PM - NFOsec: I've got a box of 2 ArduinoWIFI shields and an Arduino Ethernet
Sep 22, 2015 1:02 PM - NFOsec: I wonder if I should dump that on.
Sep 22, 2015 1:03 PM - daniel871: I do know that GCode Printr looks for Wifi/Bluetooth connections first if you don't specify a USB connection when telling it to connect.
Sep 22, 2015 1:03 PM - NFOsec: you could set background tasks on the phone to not fall into power-saving state if you really want to go extreme, but battery drainer nonetheless.
Sep 22, 2015 1:03 PM - NFOsec: any connection can be mimiced.
Sep 22, 2015 1:04 PM - daniel871: The device would stay plugged in to a charger either way.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:04 PM - NFOsec: yeah.
Sep 22, 2015 1:04 PM - daniel871: If you were using it to feed the code.
Sep 22, 2015 1:05 PM - daniel871: Not sure I trust Bluetooth that far, Wifi might be okay if that's all it was doing.
Sep 22, 2015 1:07 PM - NFOsec: is there a USB A male to a B micro cable out there?
    Sep 22, 2015 1:08 PM - daniel871: Yeah. Hang on.
Sep 22, 2015 1:09 PM - NFOsec: I don't recall one in my arsenal, otherwise I could use an adapter. Got a few tablets to try a test wiht nonetheless.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:09 PM - daniel871: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NXU806A
Sep 22, 2015 1:09 PM - daniel871: That will adapt the cable that came with the Robo to your Android device.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:09 PM - daniel871: Should anyway.
Sep 22, 2015 1:09 PM - daniel871: Works for my Galaxy phone, not sure if they all use the same port or not.
Sep 22, 2015 1:10 PM - daniel871: I don't know if there are actual cables out there that go from one to the other directly.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:11 PM - jbigler1986: lg g pad are awesome. i got 2 for my kids. I have the g3
Sep 22, 2015 1:13 PM - NFOsec: Yeah, I have the same jbig. nice pads.
Sep 22, 2015 1:13 PM - NFOsec: I wonder, maybe paying $299 for the MC tablet you could get that same piece, for a lot more.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:13 PM - NFOsec: lol
    Sep 22, 2015 1:14 PM - jbigler1986: agreed. usually good price too
    Sep 22, 2015 1:14 PM - jbigler1986: probably a shitty tablet
Sep 22, 2015 1:14 PM - NFOsec: the MatterControl? Yeah, after researching, it's lower than the cheapest off-brand WallyMart was selling for $30-$40
Sep 22, 2015 1:15 PM - NFOsec: so you can imagine, one without a battery and adding a $4 cable bundle with software loaded on it crippled was a killing for profit.
Sep 22, 2015 1:15 PM - jbigler1986: probably freezes all of the time too. Also MC is free so no added cost there.
Sep 22, 2015 1:16 PM - NFOsec: Daniel: this it?
    Sep 22, 2015 1:16 PM - NFOsec: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.dietzm.gcodesimulatorprinter&hl=en
Sep 22, 2015 1:16 PM - NFOsec: right. you would have to root the tablet just to allow local storage, wifi access, network access, etc.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:16 PM - Mike Kelly:
Sep 22, 2015 1:16 PM - NFOsec: and if you're up to it, you could drop a battery in it.
Sep 22, 2015 1:17 PM - NFOsec: *yawn* another project by the bald guy.
Sep 22, 2015 1:17 PM - jbigler1986: rooting an extremely cheap table is usually a hug pain in the ass. also getting gapps on it too
Sep 22, 2015 1:26 PM - daniel871: Sorry, boss was asking me something.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:26 PM - daniel871: Yeah, that's the app.
Sep 22, 2015 1:26 PM - NFOsec: Mm.... this whole thing is giving me an idea, maybe I should create an Android app for the Robo.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:26 PM - NFOsec: np.
Sep 22, 2015 1:27 PM - daniel871: A generic Reprap app would probably be better for the sweet in-app purchases to get rid of ads.
Sep 22, 2015 1:27 PM - daniel871: As there really aren't that many to choose from.
Sep 22, 2015 1:28 PM - NFOsec: yeah. perhaps that.
Sep 22, 2015 1:29 PM - NFOsec: I'm pretty seasoned in Android development (I create personal apps/-in-circle apps at request). this isn't rocket science, but I'll have to look at the details needed.
Sep 22, 2015 1:30 PM - daniel871: Would be neat if you could roll ArduinoDroid's features into it as far as pulling the firmware settings from the printer to determine axis travel limits/etc.
Sep 22, 2015 1:30 PM - daniel871: (ArduinoDroid can mirror the firmware for editing, IIRC)
    Sep 22, 2015 1:31 PM - daniel871: Haven't tested that particular feature though as I think it's a Premium one and I didn't pay for it.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:31 PM - daniel871: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=name.antonsmirnov.android.arduinodroid2&hl=en
Sep 22, 2015 1:35 PM - NFOsec: I grabbed the premium one. wow, really nice product. if it doesn't pan out on the Robo, I can at least use it on my ZenbotCNC retrofitted with Micron3DP.
Sep 22, 2015 1:36 PM - NFOsec: it has robo3D in the list of supported printers, but I assume R1, so need to check gcode.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:36 PM - Mike Kelly: R1+ is an R1
Sep 22, 2015 1:36 PM - NFOsec: yeah, without the crutch of MC. :)
    Sep 22, 2015 1:36 PM - NFOsec: lol.
Sep 22, 2015 1:37 PM - Mike Glass: they just addded a + so it sounded cool
Sep 22, 2015 1:37 PM - NFOsec: I remember you saying that, but wasn't there some slight gcode difference?
    Sep 22, 2015 1:37 PM - Mike Kelly: nope
Sep 22, 2015 1:37 PM - NFOsec: yeah, or should have +R1+ mods both ways.
Sep 22, 2015 1:37 PM - Mike Glass: just firmware
Sep 22, 2015 1:37 PM - Mike Kelly: there's only 1 difference between the two, 800 steps per mm on the Z instead of 2560 or 2267.72
Sep 22, 2015 1:38 PM - Mike Glass: or whatever they felt like when they shipped it out
Sep 22, 2015 1:38 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah that was a fun 4 months of "why are all my prints short"
    Sep 22, 2015 1:39 PM - NFOsec: wow.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:39 PM - NFOsec: slight differnce.
Sep 22, 2015 1:39 PM - NFOsec: how's the dust boot coming in semiflex?
Sep 22, 2015 1:40 PM - Mike Kelly: lets see, looks like my camera went down again
Sep 22, 2015 1:42 PM - Mike Kelly: appears to be still on the ABS section
Sep 22, 2015 1:43 PM - NFOsec: ah, dual extrusion?
Sep 22, 2015 1:44 PM - daniel871: Make sure for the ArduinoDroid app you copy the libraries from your PC installation so it can do everything you may do on a PC firmware edit so there aren't any "missing library" issues for full graphics LCD's and such.
Sep 22, 2015 1:44 PM - daniel871: Found that out for Waldo's version of the firmware back when I was playing with that.
Sep 22, 2015 1:45 PM - NFOsec: are you talking about the one I am thinking of building?
    Sep 22, 2015 1:45 PM - daniel871: Either or both.
Sep 22, 2015 1:45 PM - NFOsec: yeah, certainly would have to. Otherwise it'll just be another MatterHacking product.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:45 PM - daniel871: :p
Sep 22, 2015 1:46 PM - daniel871: Would be sweet to get Simplify3D running on the tablet as well but I think that's a long distance pipe dream right now.
Sep 22, 2015 1:46 PM - NFOsec: for the gcodeprintr app you don't need anything brought in (or did you?)
    Sep 22, 2015 1:46 PM - Mike Kelly:
Sep 22, 2015 1:46 PM - daniel871: Nah, GCode Printr ran pretty much right out of install without issues.
Sep 22, 2015 1:47 PM - Mike Kelly: dual extrusion yes

Sep 22, 2015 1:47 PM - NFOsec: looks like it.
Sep 22, 2015 1:47 PM - Mike Kelly: i hope this one doesn't fail like the last one...
Sep 22, 2015 1:49 PM - NFOsec: do you think it will shimmy?
Sep 22, 2015 1:51 PM - Mike Kelly: last time it managed to spit the semiflex out the side of the bondtech somehow
Sep 22, 2015 1:54 PM - NFOsec: mmm... got too excited since the ABS was extruding at a higher speed?
Sep 22, 2015 1:54 PM - NFOsec: they're both comparable on the heat side right?
Sep 22, 2015 1:55 PM - NFOsec: looks good so far.
Sep 22, 2015 1:56 PM - NFOsec: daniel: this app is really nice. I'm thinking about trying two approaches, bluetooth on the OTG and USB direct.
Sep 22, 2015 1:56 PM - NFOsec: wifi doesn't seem to be an option at the moment.
    Sep 22, 2015 1:58 PM - daniel871: Which one, GCodePrintr?
Sep 22, 2015 2:00 PM - Mike Kelly: since i'm using 2 profiles, it prints the ABS at 60mm/s and the flex at 10
Sep 22, 2015 2:00 PM - Mike Kelly: or at least i think i set it to 10
Sep 22, 2015 2:01 PM - Mike Kelly: man this feed is wonky
    Sep 22, 2015 2:02 PM - NFOsec: 10? wow. that's slow.
Sep 22, 2015 2:02 PM - NFOsec: I did flex at 30 (fast) 20 (normal) and it was doing perimeters at 50% of max.
    Sep 22, 2015 2:02 PM - NFOsec: yeah, gcodeprintr.
    Sep 22, 2015 2:03 PM - Mike Kelly: i'm on bowden
    Sep 22, 2015 2:03 PM - NFOsec: they've got 4 connection types, lots of other add-ins, including a web-feed for status, etc.
Sep 22, 2015 2:03 PM - Mike Kelly: gotta run it slower
Sep 22, 2015 2:03 PM - NFOsec: bowden, snowden, doesn't matter if you leak, you leak.
    Sep 22, 2015 2:03 PM - NFOsec: LOL.
Sep 22, 2015 2:03 PM - NFOsec: yeah, that makes sense.
Sep 22, 2015 2:04 PM - NFOsec: mmm... I gotta open up my Adafruit boxes and pull out those adapters.
Sep 22, 2015 2:07 PM - Mike Kelly: hmm wonder where i can buy 7" schedule 40 pipe
    Sep 22, 2015 2:08 PM - NFOsec: 7" schedule 40 pipe? why not find a local steamfitter?
    Sep 22, 2015 2:08 PM - NFOsec: graingers. :)
Sep 22, 2015 2:08 PM - NFOsec: I can't remember what they call those guys...
    Sep 22, 2015 2:09 PM - Mike Kelly: i need to fit an 8
    Sep 22, 2015 2:09 PM - Mike Kelly: " tube inside an 8in SCH40 pipe
Sep 22, 2015 2:09 PM - Mike Kelly: then another tube/pipe inside that tube
Sep 22, 2015 2:10 PM - Mike Kelly: according to the internet there should exist a 7.75" tube with .25" wall thickness, but not sure
Sep 22, 2015 2:10 PM - Mike Kelly: might need to get one custom formed
Sep 22, 2015 2:10 PM - Mike Kelly: but that's assuming i can find 8" tube with .065" wall thickness
    Sep 22, 2015 2:14 PM - Mike Kelly: $190 for 6" of 8" tube - .120t
    Sep 22, 2015 2:21 PM - NFOsec: daniel?
Sep 22, 2015 2:22 PM - NFOsec: tabletexpress.com - source for your tablets. also was the source for the MC controller. tablet. damn, I hate it when I can research.
Sep 22, 2015 2:23 PM - NFOsec: MK: you're not happening to make a potato launcher are you?
    Sep 22, 2015 2:23 PM - NFOsec: that's thin, don't you want something with some integrity? :)
Sep 22, 2015 2:26 PM - jbigler1986: time to go and try to print something
    Sep 22, 2015 2:26 PM - NFOsec: jbig: shoes.
    Sep 22, 2015 2:26 PM - jbigler1986: be back in a little bit
    Sep 22, 2015 2:26 PM - NFOsec: enjoy.
Sep 22, 2015 2:28 PM - Mike Kelly: na it's for work, it's a means to prevent desiccant from flowing through the cracks on the screen
    Sep 22, 2015 2:29 PM - Mike Kelly: it's not holding pressure
Sep 22, 2015 2:29 PM - Mike Kelly: so it can be thin wall
Sep 22, 2015 2:30 PM - Mike Glass: cut a slot in 8 " then put it back together with hot glue.. Boom
Sep 22, 2015 2:33 PM - Mike Glass: petg just dropped in price, figures.
Sep 22, 2015 3:02 PM - Mike Kelly: well feed died but it looks like the print is still working
Sep 22, 2015 3:30 PM - Mike Kelly: and it failed
    Sep 22, 2015 3:32 PM - Mike Glass: damn
Sep 22, 2015 3:41 PM - Mike Kelly: same thing, filament came out the side
Sep 22, 2015 3:41 PM - Mike Kelly: i guess i need to have it run even slower
Sep 22, 2015 3:48 PM - Mike Kelly: was printing 20, gonna go down to 10
    Sep 22, 2015 5:28 PM - Mike Kelly: https://plus.google.com/+AnthonyMorris/posts/5DxRt8iUYyL Whoa
Sep 22, 2015 5:38 PM - jbigler1986: Fucking min temp error after modifying the extruder. Ugh
    Sep 22, 2015 5:40 PM - Mike Kelly: ouch
Sep 22, 2015 5:45 PM - jbigler1986: Not sure where the issue is
Sep 22, 2015 5:50 PM - jbigler1986: Min temp is thermistor right? Happens as soon as I turn on the printer
Sep 22, 2015 5:51 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah it means something is reading 0
Sep 22, 2015 6:03 PM - Patrick Elliott: What's the best Auto leveling Mod?
Sep 22, 2015 6:06 PM - jbigler1986: Pretty sure this thermistor pooped. Damnit
Sep 22, 2015 6:33 PM - danzca6: Patrick, what kind of improvement are you looking for in an auto leveling mod?
Sep 22, 2015 6:33 PM - Mike Kelly: How much you want to spend
Sep 22, 2015 6:34 PM - Patrick Elliott: I've just recently upgraded my Kickstarter to a new y axis and Z axis, is the robo version of auto leveling any good or should I go with mikes?
    Sep 22, 2015 6:34 PM - danzca6: hmmm
    Sep 22, 2015 6:34 PM - danzca6: lol
    Sep 22, 2015 6:34 PM - danzca6: Mike?
Sep 22, 2015 6:35 PM - danzca6: actually I like what Mike did, but I also like another approach that don did the other day that eliminates the nozzle pushing on the bed
Sep 22, 2015 6:35 PM - Mike Kelly: I've loved the mini height sensor
    Sep 22, 2015 6:36 PM - Patrick Elliott: Link?
    Sep 22, 2015 6:36 PM - danzca6: http://www.soliforum.com/topic/4714/automatic-bed-leveling-and-z-offset-howto-level-23/
Sep 22, 2015 6:36 PM - danzca6: this will get you the idea...I'll try and find the parts he used for the Robo
Sep 22, 2015 6:37 PM - danzca6: The code is in the firmware already for that mod and just needs to be uncommented and you have to define the offset from the extruder. That setup is explained in that link
    Sep 22, 2015 6:38 PM - Mike Kelly: http://www.filastruder.com/collecti...s/products/mini-differential-ir-height-sensor
Sep 22, 2015 6:39 PM - Mike Kelly: Kinda pricey though
Sep 22, 2015 6:44 PM - danzca6: donhuevo from here is the user I was referring two and he put his model on thingiverse http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1019239
    Sep 22, 2015 6:44 PM - danzca6: so you have options
    Sep 22, 2015 6:44 PM - danzca6: I wish I could find the video he did
Sep 22, 2015 6:46 PM - danzca6: he has a pretty modified robo as well, so that part might not fit yours, but will give you an idea...looking at youtube for that vid
    Sep 22, 2015 6:47 PM - danzca6:
Sep 22, 2015 6:49 PM - danzca6: with all that said, my stock autolevel does a pretty darn fine job
Sep 22, 2015 6:50 PM - danzca6: on another note, jury duty this past week has paid for my new leadscrews. I hope to have those this weekend. Who says doing your cival duty doesn't pay off?
    Sep 22, 2015 6:51 PM - Patrick Elliott: any opinions on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:301715 ?
Sep 22, 2015 6:54 PM - danzca6: hadn't seen that one yet, but ziggy is a pretty smart guy as well. Looks like a lot of parts and is 1.5 years old. Mike, have you heard anything about that one?
Sep 22, 2015 6:55 PM - danzca6: Mike that IR is going in my bookmarks...that is pretty cool and $40 isn't too crazy pricey
Sep 22, 2015 6:55 PM - danzca6: is ziggy doing something similar to what don did?
Sep 22, 2015 7:00 PM - Patrick Elliott: I'm a sucker for flashing lights..... I'll have to order one of those...
    Sep 22, 2015 7:04 PM - Mike Kelly: I like ziggy's but it's pretty bulky
    Sep 22, 2015 7:04 PM - danzca6: flashing lights and lasers...anything with lasers Patrick are a must
Sep 22, 2015 7:04 PM - Mike Kelly: And the ir sensor is non contact and solid state so I'm a big fan
Sep 22, 2015 7:05 PM - danzca6: I've heard you mention it at times Mike but this was the first link I've seen...I am quickly becoming a fan
Sep 22, 2015 7:07 PM - Patrick Elliott: ordered, I'll let you know how it turns out.
Sep 22, 2015 7:09 PM - danzca6: always glad to help others spend money :) I might be right behind you. Let us know how it goes. Love to see a pic, vid, or something as well
Sep 22, 2015 7:14 PM - Mike Glass: good evening peeps
    Sep 22, 2015 7:19 PM - NFOsec: wheeee....
Sep 22, 2015 7:20 PM - NFOsec: MK: so when is it a packaged deal?
    Sep 22, 2015 7:25 PM - danzca6: evening MG and NFO
    Sep 22, 2015 7:26 PM - danzca6: NFO, MK isn't showing online anymore
Sep 22, 2015 7:34 PM - NFOsec: ah. I saw him on, maybe refresh needed.
Sep 22, 2015 7:35 PM - NFOsec: so, evening danz. what's going on?

    Sep 22, 2015 7:35 PM - danzca6: yeah, I wish that would refresh automatically
    Sep 22, 2015 7:35 PM - danzca6: going pretty well
    Sep 22, 2015 7:35 PM - danzca6: how are thing up north
Sep 22, 2015 7:36 PM - NFOsec: oh, the cows are still pumpin' curds and whey, cottage cheese and ice cream weather soon enough.
Sep 22, 2015 7:36 PM - danzca6: heading up that way for the cranberry festival this weekend
    Sep 22, 2015 7:36 PM - Mike Kelly: dan: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5xmx85wv7nqa8ts/Video Sep 08, 8 18 24 PM.mov?dl=0
Sep 22, 2015 7:36 PM - Mike Kelly: doesn't show the autolevel but you get the idea
Sep 22, 2015 7:36 PM - NFOsec: was talking with daniel earlier, grabbed gccodeprintr on Google play, used one of my tablets to run Robo.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:37 PM - NFOsec: it lives.
Sep 22, 2015 7:37 PM - Mike Kelly: just finished dishes
Sep 22, 2015 7:37 PM - danzca6: I saw a bit about that NFO and was trying to catch up
Sep 22, 2015 7:37 PM - Mike Kelly: got some more cleaning to do though
    Sep 22, 2015 7:37 PM - danzca6: welcome back Mike
    Sep 22, 2015 7:37 PM - danzca6: domestic duties and all
Sep 22, 2015 7:38 PM - NFOsec: works pretty cool. need to evaluate enabling bluetooth though, USB is perfect.
Sep 22, 2015 7:38 PM - NFOsec: well, 2.3 might be demanding if he didn't do those duties.
Sep 22, 2015 7:39 PM - danzca6: wow mike, I figured you were already wired in with the IR...that is cool
Sep 22, 2015 7:40 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah i love it, super consistent
Sep 22, 2015 7:40 PM - Mike Kelly: i ran 20 autolevel sequences cause i couldn't figure out the repetability test in marlin
Sep 22, 2015 7:40 PM - Mike Kelly: need to analyze the data
Sep 22, 2015 7:41 PM - danzca6: man, you have all the cool toys
Sep 22, 2015 7:41 PM - danzca6: $40, might just have to pull the trigger on that
Sep 22, 2015 7:41 PM - krouton3: printing off last part of the sword
Sep 22, 2015 7:41 PM - danzca6: another day at jury duty would have covered that :)
    Sep 22, 2015 7:41 PM - danzca6: when is that event krouton3
Sep 22, 2015 7:42 PM - NFOsec: perhaps next time use a rotating laser matrix. :)
Sep 22, 2015 7:42 PM - krouton3: and these pieces dont want to fit together.... curse this pla shrinkage or bad models with not room for error haha
Sep 22, 2015 7:42 PM - NFOsec: so, did the dust cover pan out?
Sep 22, 2015 7:42 PM - jbigler1986: she is printing. crossing my fingers that it actually finishes
Sep 22, 2015 7:42 PM - NFOsec: well, that's not unusual krouton. I did a couple of those shoe clips and found they had to be slightly sanded.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:43 PM - NFOsec: cool.
Sep 22, 2015 7:43 PM - danzca6: yeah, where are the pics of those clips NFO
Sep 22, 2015 7:43 PM - NFOsec: yeah, reminds me. I ddin't post them on thingi. mmm...
Sep 22, 2015 7:43 PM - NFOsec: did gold on gold, then gold with black.
Sep 22, 2015 7:45 PM - krouton3: ya i bought some 150 grit sandpaper todaygonna try sandit them down
Sep 22, 2015 7:45 PM - danzca6: once my z ribbing is gone...knock on wood...I hope to print a pair of those clips
Sep 22, 2015 7:46 PM - krouton3: while i am going to be soldering the pieces together i kinda want the keys to fit in just for the extra support instead of just gettign rid of them lol
Sep 22, 2015 7:46 PM - Mike Kelly: dual extrusion print is still crawling along
Sep 22, 2015 7:46 PM - Mike Kelly: 10mm/s is painful to watch
Sep 22, 2015 7:46 PM - danzca6: record it and play it back at 10x
Sep 22, 2015 7:47 PM - NFOsec: here is the set of "large" straight out of the printer, glod on glod. didnt clean yet: [IMG]
Sep 22, 2015 7:48 PM - danzca6: Mike, have you tried the IR on the bare glass?
Sep 22, 2015 7:48 PM - Mike Kelly: i did test it on glass before i installed it
Sep 22, 2015 7:48 PM - NFOsec: that one was done at 100mm, the others were at 30 and 60, so the outer perimeter on one part was a little rough.
Sep 22, 2015 7:48 PM - NFOsec: but, all sandable.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:49 PM - danzca6: I haven't done anything over 50 so I was going to say it looked a bit rough
    Sep 22, 2015 7:49 PM - danzca6: not bad for 100 though
    Sep 22, 2015 7:49 PM - danzca6: butterscotch glod
Sep 22, 2015 7:50 PM - NFOsec: yeah, I usually do 60 with fine tuning on the x y speeds and temperatures for the filament.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:50 PM - NFOsec: surprisingly, 210 does better than 200 at 60mm
Sep 22, 2015 7:50 PM - NFOsec: but then again.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:50 PM - krouton3: the sword progress http://i.imgur.com/4YhpFSB.jpg
    Sep 22, 2015 7:51 PM - danzca6: I can see that making sense
    Sep 22, 2015 7:51 PM - NFOsec: doesn't anything make sense?
    Sep 22, 2015 7:51 PM - danzca6: going to paint it when it's all done? krouton3
Sep 22, 2015 7:52 PM - NFOsec: you should lightly sand or even heat-gun the connections then slip and cool.
Sep 22, 2015 7:52 PM - NFOsec: sure looks wicked. how large is it length wise? 34"?
Sep 22, 2015 7:52 PM - danzca6: you could even use some bondo on the seems if you are going to prime and paint
Sep 22, 2015 7:53 PM - NFOsec: yeah? bondo, everyones' favorite scrape and wipe.
Sep 22, 2015 7:53 PM - krouton3: yea bought blue and silver spray paint along with clear coat and primer and some small bottles of regular paint for the little gem on the hand guard and the decals on the shield
Sep 22, 2015 7:53 PM - NFOsec: still looks pretty cool.
Sep 22, 2015 7:54 PM - NFOsec: I printed 2 of those door step guys with the X X eyes. was kind of funny, but one of the doors I was going to use it on has a much higher gap.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:54 PM - krouton3: on layer 207/ 910 for this last part
Sep 22, 2015 7:55 PM - NFOsec: so, need to print a fat guy.
    Sep 22, 2015 7:55 PM - danzca6: lol
Sep 22, 2015 7:55 PM - krouton3: the hand guard i split in half and printed both halves seperately so i wouldnt have to deal with alot of overhang
    Sep 22, 2015 7:55 PM - danzca6: little budda
    Sep 22, 2015 7:56 PM - NFOsec: MK: do the 910 yet?
Sep 22, 2015 7:56 PM - NFOsec: kind of thought that dust cover would have been a good 910 project.
Sep 22, 2015 7:57 PM - NFOsec: that makes good sense krouton.
Sep 22, 2015 7:57 PM - jbigler1986: Missing some extrusion here and there. Hopefully it will survive
Sep 22, 2015 7:57 PM - jbigler1986: Of not I will throw on the other carriage to print them. Boooo
Sep 22, 2015 7:58 PM - NFOsec: someone should package up bondo for 3D printers, would make a killing in the ameteur market.
Sep 22, 2015 8:00 PM - danzca6: well, been up for over 40 hours now...going to try and get a full night sleep. Happy printing gents!
Sep 22, 2015 8:01 PM - Mike Kelly: PS forgot to include the 910... again
Sep 22, 2015 8:07 PM - krouton3: no wonder my right z axis seems to shake a bit when i am moving the extruder up and down
Sep 22, 2015 8:08 PM - krouton3: just noticed that it isnt sitting in the housing built into the machine lol but i havent really had a zbanding probolem so didnt look too much into it lol
Sep 22, 2015 8:08 PM - krouton3: after this print ima pop it back into its housing
    Sep 22, 2015 8:10 PM - jbigler1986: fail
Sep 22, 2015 8:16 PM - krouton3: i like how this one came with housings for the z axis instead of needing to print one off lol
    Sep 22, 2015 8:17 PM - NFOsec: brb
Sep 22, 2015 8:28 PM - NFOsec: back. needed to plug in the 3rd monitor.
Sep 22, 2015 8:28 PM - NFOsec: what did jbig state failed?
Sep 22, 2015 8:31 PM - Mike Glass: krouton the sword looks nice
Sep 22, 2015 8:34 PM - jbigler1986: Tried to modify this extruder to get it to print the correct one. Need to install the single carriage to print them. Project for tomorrow
    Sep 22, 2015 8:48 PM - Mike Kelly: bummer
Sep 22, 2015 8:48 PM - Mike Kelly: now i want to make a sword
Sep 22, 2015 8:48 PM - Mike Glass: with neopixels
Sep 22, 2015 8:50 PM - Mike Kelly: energy sword
Sep 22, 2015 8:50 PM - Mike Kelly: illuminated with neopixels
Sep 22, 2015 8:52 PM - Mike Glass: this looks like a fun project http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1025752
Sep 22, 2015 8:52 PM - Mike Kelly: that is neat
Sep 22, 2015 8:54 PM - Mike Kelly: didn't know you could upload to thingiverse without a stl
Sep 22, 2015 8:55 PM - Mike Glass: that is odd
Sep 22, 2015 8:56 PM - Mike Glass: guess laser projects are counted though
    Sep 22, 2015 8:58 PM - Mike Kelly: yeah
Sep 22, 2015 8:59 PM - Mike Glass: nothing for the base though just the plexi cutouts

Sep 22, 2015 at 9:01 PM - NFOsec: you bet.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:01 PM - NFOsec: gotta love those laeer projects. :)
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:02 PM - Mike Glass: these cheap neopixels I got are fun
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:03 PM - NFOsec: those plates would take about 20 minutes to cut/engrave.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:04 PM - Mike Glass: if I had a laser yea
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:04 PM - NFOsec: <--- 50w CO2
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:05 PM - NFOsec: I think I'd like to embark on that kind of a toy for a project. I LOVE multi-colored LED layered acrylic signs.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:05 PM - NFOsec: so cool.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:05 PM - Mike Glass: I will send you the plexi. :)
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:05 PM - NFOsec: I wonder, looks like 1/8".
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:06 PM - Mike Glass: yea def not 1/4
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:07 PM - NFOsec: No, 1/4 would be pretty damn excessive.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:07 PM - NFOsec: mm... took german in college, might be able to muster something. :)
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:07 PM - NFOsec: ACHTUNG!
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:07 PM - Mike Glass: bless you
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:07 PM - NFOsec: NEIN! HEIL
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:07 PM - NFOsec: very funny.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:08 PM - NFOsec: so those are adafruit neopixels?
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:08 PM - NFOsec: like an 8x8 grid.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:09 PM - Mike Glass: that he is using?
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:11 PM - NFOsec: it looks like he's using the strip 8 x WS2812 5050 LEDs, which is a single-row 8 LED board. I'd say you'd have better function with the 8x8 grid because then you could throw multiple colors on the backgrounds against a bright foreground, etc.
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:12 PM - Mike Glass: http://www.banggood.com/8-x-WS2812-LED-strip-5050-RGB-for-Arduino-Trinket-Gemma-p-978363.html
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:12 PM - NFOsec: no, looks like 4 LED not 8, but yeah.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:12 PM - NFOsec: cheap stuff.
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:13 PM - Mike Glass: http://www.banggood.com/50Pcs-DC-5V...MD-LED-Board-Built-in-IC-WS2812-p-963382.html
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:13 PM - NFOsec: they have an 8x32 grid which is awesome, but you don't get a lot of clearance between them.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:13 PM - Mike Glass: those are the ones I have, really like them.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:13 PM - NFOsec: those look like it.
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:13 PM - NFOsec: cool.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:13 PM - Mike Glass: I have 2 hooked up now, super bright
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:14 PM - NFOsec: no kidding, gotta dim them.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:14 PM - NFOsec: I bought an 16 pack of them last year, but still sitting in the antistatic bag.
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:14 PM - Mike Glass: 50 for $10
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:14 PM - NFOsec: was going to do a flora project.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:14 PM - NFOsec: yeah, dirt cheap.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:15 PM - Mike Glass: 3 going on the robo
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:15 PM - NFOsec: I kind of wish I got involved with Ruud lighting before Cree came in. could have made a killing.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:15 PM - NFOsec: I kind of thought ofu ptting a landing strip... haha. actually the undercarriage of the bed is wrapped with a heat-safe LED strip on mine.
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:16 PM - NFOsec: with a 44 color remote/combination.
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:16 PM - NFOsec: wild.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:16 PM - NFOsec: shit like this would sell easy.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:20 PM - NFOsec: mm... I'm going to look at the corel draw file, see what specs are.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:20 PM - Mike Glass: it opened in open office for me
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:24 PM - NFOsec: yeah, I have Corel Draw X7 suite since I use it for laser stuff.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:24 PM - NFOsec: 50mm width plates for each number.
    Sep 22, 2015 at 9:25 PM - NFOsec: 2" each basically.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:26 PM - NFOsec: mmm... I have some 12x12 acrlyic sheets in clear I could chop up. but need 0-9 so there are a number of plates needed.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:27 PM - NFOsec: crap, onlyo gt 1/4" left.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:28 PM - NFOsec: tons of black 1/8th. *sigh* time to work the streets to order more.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:28 PM - Mike Glass: lol
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:29 PM - NFOsec: the key of course is having the plates sit over the leds and not so much have the LEDs shining in front of or behind the plates, but rather on the edge. so it has to be at least 1/8" or really small LEDs.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:29 PM - NFOsec: well, going to research this a little. ctchya l8r.
Sep 22, 2015 at 9:30 PM - Mike Glass: ok see ya
Sep 23, 2015 at 2:07 AM - Bill Monroe: good morning
Sep 23, 2015 at 2:13 AM - PeterkSharma: good morning
    Sep 23, 2015 at 3:58 AM - Bill Monroe:
    Sep 23, 2015 at 4:49 AM - jbigler1986: morning
Sep 23, 2015 at 4:51 AM - daniel871: Just saw that switch test video Bill, lol
    Sep 23, 2015 at 4:52 AM - daniel871:
Sep 23, 2015 at 4:54 AM - jbigler1986: picked up a cheap brand dremel last night. also got a flex shaft for it. it's pretty awesome. It doesn't get hot at all either. I know my old dremel got hot as hell
Sep 23, 2015 at 4:58 AM - Bill Monroe: ya, what can I say?
Sep 23, 2015 at 4:59 AM - Bill Monroe: hi guys
    Sep 23, 2015 at 4:59 AM - daniel871: Hi.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:00 AM - Bill Monroe: i have to hope that all the "experts" that insisted it works just dont have any experience is doing real machine automation programming
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:00 AM - daniel871: Got a response from Ultimachine about the LCD where they sent me a hex file with the lcd setting known to be correct in it.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:01 AM - daniel871: Now I just need to figure out how to edit it to add the Robo's particular settings with the dual carriage.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:03 AM - daniel871: I think the discussion was about whether it was something that could be toggled on or if it would have to be programmed out.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:05 AM - Bill Monroe: i couldnt seem to get into thier heads that in order for one to add limit switches and for it tow work like they expect, the watchdog for the switches will interrupt the trajectory planner
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:05 AM - jbigler1986: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:76702 hmmmm
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:05 AM - Bill Monroe: just cuz the ramps has a plug, dont mean it will work
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:06 AM - Bill Monroe: but whatever, some people just have to try it...
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:06 AM - daniel871: Beyond the Arduino's capabilities to keep track of?
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:07 AM - jbigler1986: bill i have a question for you
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:07 AM - Bill Monroe: high end printer manufactures' have the slicer check location and fail if one trys to print something out of limits.. a MUCH better approach
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:08 AM - Bill Monroe: ?
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:08 AM - jbigler1986: 3d printers you build from the bottom up. cnc router you start from the top and cut down. how do you go about doing that in a slicer
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:09 AM - jbigler1986: or what software do you use for it
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:09 AM - daniel871: Wait, a software solution to a hardware limitation? :p
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:09 AM - Bill Monroe: you dont use a slicer for CNC routing
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:10 AM - jbigler1986: what software do you use
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:10 AM - daniel871: You'd think Simplify3D would tell you if your print goes outside the specified print area, but it seems to ignore skirts for this.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:10 AM - Bill Monroe: :) danny.. nice catch but it's really not a hardware limitation, you could put switches in BUT, while thge project is still in software, you can remove the requirement for the switches so, it's not a limitation, just not a requirement :)
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:11 AM - Bill Monroe: ya,, I think S3D needs to fix that but they're smart guys so they mush of had a reason
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:11 AM - daniel871: We use AlphaCAM at work for our CNC stuff because the powers that be think MasterCAM is too expensive.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:11 AM - Bill Monroe: well, it's pricey alright
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:11 AM - Bill Monroe: mastercam is overkill for home routers though
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:12 AM - daniel871: I think a lot of people use Mach3 to drive the machine and some combination of conversational programming and/or Vcarve for artistic stuff.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:13 AM - Bill Monroe: I would agree
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:13 AM - daniel871: For home users.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:13 AM - Bill Monroe: SheetCam is real popular for home guys
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:14 AM - daniel871: There is another one by Autodesk that works with Solidworks that has a free version I'm forgetting the name of.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:14 AM - Bill Monroe: that would be fun to look into
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:15 AM - Bill Monroe: I used CamWorks for the machines at work, or I should say, where I *used* to work
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:16 AM - daniel871: HSMXpress
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:16 AM - daniel871: HSMWorks is the paid version.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:17 AM - Bill Monroe: I'd be interested if you can use a solid that represents a rough shape as a starting solid
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:18 AM - Bill Monroe: sheetcam cant do that
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:25 AM - jbigler1986: hmmm
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:26 AM - daniel871: http://www.hsmworks.com/gethsmxpress/
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:27 AM - daniel871: Doesn't work with the "got it from my Russian friend" versions of Solidworks as you have to provide valid licensing details.

    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:28 AM - jbigler1986: well damn
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:29 AM - daniel871: Yeah.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:30 AM - Bill Monroe: It doesnt mention the feature I'm after, I'll send them an email
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:30 AM - daniel871: There's also DelCAM express, but I know next to nothing about it.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:30 AM - daniel871: http://www.delcamforsolidworks.com/xpress/
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:32 AM - JeffTheMess: good morning roboneers
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:33 AM - daniel871: Morning Jeff.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:35 AM - daniel871: I think everyone is looking at CAM software right now.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:36 AM - JeffTheMess: mostly Bill, MK, and MG
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:37 AM - daniel871: I think JB is looking too.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:37 AM - jbigler1986: yeah
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:38 AM - JeffTheMess: everyone going cnc?
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:38 AM - jbigler1986: i am just curious right now
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:39 AM - Bill Monroe: i have sheetcam, but there's just that one feature that I'd like.. it's used mostly for production rework or machining castings which isnt common in CNC
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:39 AM - Bill Monroe: the MIkes made one of those conduit machines
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:39 AM - Bill Monroe: I've had CNC mill and routers for years
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:39 AM - JeffTheMess: nice
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:39 AM - daniel871: Did MeshCAM ever go anywhere? I seem to remember that one working almost exclusively with STL file imports.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:40 AM - Bill Monroe: i think it's still out there
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:40 AM - daniel871: Something like that may be the easiest transition CAM for someone coming from 3d printers to CNC milling machines.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:41 AM - daniel871: Would still need proper CAM software later but would probably help get their feet wet with toolpaths and stuff.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:41 AM - daniel871: (assuming the price for a license wasn't ridiculous)
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:42 AM - daniel871: Yep. MeshCAM is still out there. http://www.grzsoftware.com/
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:43 AM - daniel871: $250, may or may not be pure garbage by now.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:44 AM - JeffTheMess: (must be free somewhere on the internet)
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:45 AM - jbigler1986: there is
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:46 AM - daniel871: Something called FreeMill also works with Solidworks, but you don't get to actually save programs generated with it any more unless you buy some other software they make.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:46 AM - daniel871: Which is dumb.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:46 AM - daniel871: DelCAM's thing may be the quickest trial software to try out JB. If you have 2016 Solidworks.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:47 AM - jbigler1986: not sure if I have 16 or 15
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:47 AM - daniel871: Probably 15, 16 hasn't been out for too long.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:50 AM - JeffTheMess: JB was that what got you thinking about it CAM http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:76702
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:50 AM - jbigler1986: yeah
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:51 AM - JeffTheMess: seams pretty simple
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:52 AM - jbigler1986: i have everything that would be needed
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:53 AM - daniel871: No wait, that DelCAM for Solidworks 2016 is their version number, the actual filename says it's for 2015.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:53 AM - daniel871: So you should be good to go trying that JB (downloading it myself right now).
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:53 AM - jbigler1986: get a velleman printer and use it as a router.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:54 AM - jbigler1986: lol
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:54 AM - JeffTheMess: (should be backward compatible)
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:55 AM - jbigler1986: wonder what firmware changes would be needed
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:55 AM - daniel871: Solidworks will open older files, but you cannot save anything in an older Solidworks format.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:55 AM - daniel871: So if someone else is using newer Solidworks software than you, you cannot open any files they send you.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:55 AM - JeffTheMess: oh that sucks
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:56 AM - daniel871: Yeah, it's a pretty basic feature for other CAD software but Solidworks basically says "Fuck you, you should buy the current software".
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:57 AM - daniel871: Probably going to be the biggest thing that keeps OnShape going if the Solidworks parent company doesn't decide to eat them.
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:58 AM - daniel871: (saving in older formats for other people to be able to open)
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:58 AM - Bill Monroe: i think it's funny people think solidworks does that just to fuck with people
Sep 23, 2015 at 5:59 AM - daniel871: I've actually had Solidworks salesmen say that if my company kept a current service/maintenance contract going we'd stay updated on the software.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 5:59 AM - JeffTheMess: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:559263
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:00 AM - daniel871: As if the otherwise useless $3k/year is worth it vs. buying an upgrade when an actual feature improvement comes out.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:03 AM - daniel871: Restarting this PC to see if DelCAM is a trainwreck or not after installing it.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:09 AM - jbigler1986: http://community.robo3d.com/index.php?threads/show-and-tell-from-michigan.6538/
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:09 AM - jbigler1986: some ugly prints
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:10 AM - daniel871: Nope, won't work. They had a link for the version that matches the Solidworks version we have at work (2013), but it causes that version of Solidworks to hang up and crash on startup because it detects that it isn't the current version and sends you to the website to download the latest one.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:10 AM - daniel871: Uninstalling.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:11 AM - daniel871: That's the guy on FB trying to sell his Robo, JB.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:12 AM - daniel871: He went through tightening everything up and following all of the suggestions people were giving him, then one of his steppers died and he's been unable to get a replacement (Robo taking several days to get back to him, etc.).
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:12 AM - jbigler1986: shitty
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:18 AM - JeffTheMess: wow talk about customer services
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:23 AM - daniel871: To be fair, I think the only person from Robo that responded to him was Harry. Everyone else seems to be off doing whatever.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:24 AM - daniel871: But Harry is just an intern so.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:25 AM - JeffTheMess: still this is the type of thing that will lead people away from robo
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:26 AM - jbigler1986: yep. has led me away from it. I will never buy another
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:28 AM - JeffTheMess: exactly
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:28 AM - daniel871: Eh. It's a perfect storm of people that have no business playing with 3d printers buying them and people that don't have the inclination to teach people about them running the company (and depending on these forums for that).
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:30 AM - danzca6: Harry is just an intern? Very good customer service from him. I have also worked with Jerry and he is great as well. Haven't had a bad experience yet.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:30 AM - JeffTheMess: hope he's a paid intern
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:31 AM - danzca6: this forum is a huge piece of customer service for ROBO
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:31 AM - danzca6: without it, I wouldn't know 80% of what I know now about the printer and 3d printing
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:31 AM - Bill Monroe: it's also a huge robo bashing forum
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:31 AM - danzca6: true, but ...
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:33 AM - JeffTheMess: (not a place for the weak heart people, for sure)
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:34 AM - daniel871: If he's an intern then I'm pretty sure he isn't paid by definition.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:34 AM - danzca6: I was paid as an intern when in college
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:34 AM - daniel871: "You're getting invaluable job experience for your resume, why should we pay you?"
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:35 AM - daniel871: Guess it depends on the company.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:35 AM - Bill Monroe: In some industries.. interns actually pay the company
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:35 AM - daniel871: Yeah, there is also that.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:36 AM - JeffTheMess: eh...but the amount of work he does for robo is huge
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:38 AM - daniel871: LOfnL, there is supposed to be a lunch thing today for one of the VP's that has been with the company for 20 years and nobody gives a shit, but it's one of those things where everyone will put on their ass-kissing mask and smile and carry on at the actual thing.]
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:40 AM - JeffTheMess: free food is good enough reason lol
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:40 AM - daniel871: For an extra "fuck you" to the guys in the shop, I heard their supervisor telling them that since it was going to be a longer lunch break they won't be getting an afternoon break.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:41 AM - Bill Monroe: what state are you in?
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:42 AM - daniel871: Georgia.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:42 AM - Bill Monroe: ah.. that's legal then
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:42 AM - daniel871: Yeah. Just a shitty thing to do.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:44 AM - daniel871: That's the same supervisor that asked someone why they thought they needed to take the next day to be with their daughter at the hospital while she had a kid because they weren't going to be delivering the baby themselves.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:44 AM - JeffTheMess:
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:44 AM - jbigler1986: Robo doesn't want this forum to be about troubleshooting either. IDK what they would do if this forum didn't have troubleshooting for people
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:44 AM - JeffTheMess: what shame
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:45 AM - Bill Monroe: where'd you hear that?
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:45 AM - JeffTheMess: they still have that "phone customer service"?
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:45 AM - daniel871: Someone was asking us if there would be any problem eliminating the Troubleshooting section of the forum.
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:45 AM - Bill Monroe: "someone"
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:45 AM - daniel871: Not Harry, but they had red text in the Shoutbox.
    Sep 23, 2015 at 6:45 AM - jbigler1986: robo someone
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:46 AM - Bill Monroe: i dont know how you'd get eliminating it from here
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:46 AM - jbigler1986: MK has brought it up a few times as well which was brought up to him from team robo
Sep 23, 2015 at 6:47 AM - daniel871: Oh yeah, that same supervisor was also giving some guy shit for wanting to take off to be with his live-in girlfriend when she had her baby because he wasn't married to her.
