Is there a place I can buy extra thermistor for my robo r1. I would like to have some spares at the house.

I've got an R1 with the factory lead screw upgrade. I wasn't aware they changed them.

Then the only place to get a direct stock replacement is from Robo3D. Go to their parts request form on their main web site and request one. I have not (nor has anyone that I am aware of) found an exact match for the stock hexagon canister style thermistors.

I think @WheresWaldo found a source for them but coming from China will take awhile, I'd hit up Robo and then order if Waldo is kind enough to paste that link here (I cant find it lol)

If true -- Yes, please do.

I found some that were *maybe* the same thermistor type, but really poor construction (from an AliBaba source) and totally can't suggest them as a viable alternative, but if someone wants to mess around with trying one, hit me up with an address and I'll post it to you. (I will need to go find them myself in that case since I got them, looked at them and tossed them in a bin in the printer room somewhere).

That is a perfectly fine approach. Not one everyone is probably going to go for though :)
I use the stud thermistor on the V5 E3D, really nice.
