    Hello,

I've had my Robo3D for about a month now and was experiencing some issues with the stock hotend so I swapped it for the E3D V5 hotend. Once I had installed it I had read that I needed to heat it up to about 300 degrees and had to flash the firmware to do so (From this guide https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fryBbKG8rpOCfsWk3UbcJzHEItqHU0iFY7uVRF3sFx0/edit?pli=1#). I followed the instructions step by step and now when I connect it to mattercontrol the X-Axis button is grayed out and all the other buttons are not responsive expect for the home buttons. I also have the same issues with Repetier-Host. The bed and extruder won't preheat at all and I'm not sure what to do from here.

If anyone could give me some insight on what to do I'd be very appreciative.
    Thank you

Did you flash the current firmware (as opposed to the one linked in that doc). The process in the doc is correct, but the firmware linked in it is not for an R1.

Which firmware is the current one? And also in those instructions I was unsure what they meant at the end by reflashing "
Since I don't want to reflash my Robo 3D I don't have screen shots of this but if it doesn't work, first try to powercycle the Robo 3D by unplugging the power cord AND the USB cable. The Taurino gets power primarily from the USB cable. Then plug in the USB cable again and attempt the upload again."

What they mean by reflashing is replacing the software that controls the Arduino (what makes the printer work).
You need to get familiar with the process since the printer will occasionally need this.

I tried using the autolevel firmware and I'm still getting the same results.

I opened the arduino program and opened the file Auto_Level_6_10. I verified it and then uploaded it. After that I opened up MatterControl and it still wasn't responding when i tried to jog the axis or preheat it.

What does your board show up as in device manager?

the home all button used to move the y and x axis to home and move the z axis up (this is with previous firmware flashing) a mm or so but now it just homes the x and y axis.

I've tried using both Marlin_3_14_14 as well as Auto_Level_6_10.
When trying the Marlin_3_14_14 the Z-Axis will home as mentioned above but when i try using Auto_Level_6_10 the Z-Axis homing doesn't work at all.

From Matter Controls terminal (Configuration > Show Terminal > Filter Output is checked) send M119 with none of the endstops triggered and running 6_10 firmware, and report back with the responses

    Reporting endstop status
    x min: open
    y min: open
    z min: TRIGGERED

It gave the same message when i tried that.
I'm going to try using a powered usb hub when I get home. I was looking around the forum and some suggested that when mattercontrol isn't responding like it has been for me then perhaps the board isn't receiving enough power.

Sounds like you're not fully triggering your switches actually
