Oiler only needed for PLA, While an oiler is not necessary for other filaments it won't degrade performance. Just note it won't add any either.

A cup holder for the tumblers of whisky required to get through the learning curve. I mounted mine on the right side up near the top.

You do not need an oiler with anything except PLA, however it will not hurt those prints in any way if you just leave it on.
I like PET material properties, I just found it a bit odd to print in that you have to watch for stringing. And unlike PLA/ABS it will string when it is too cold (they usually string when too hot). Experiment to find your best temperature.

PET is my favorite filament at the moment. I like it for fan ducts and shrouds.

Alloy 910 is my new fave, but PET was it for a while.
Actually the InPLA is darn nice too.

So all I have to do is define the smart controller in 2 different areas? That's not hard. Thank you. Just got my controller and will be getting my printer today. :)

Oops, just noticed a typo, that I corrected in my original code post. Line 505 should be

    Code:
    Line 505
    - #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER
    + //#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER

I was thinking about this and another good mod is bright white LED light strips to make it easier to see inside the printer
