    I think it's 4mm. The original is 3mm.

Glad the write up could be of use guys! I thought they were going to include that along with the kits but I guess they didn't get around to it.

Rick when you say you can't get the plate to heat, I had a very similiar issue. Are you using Repetier-Host or MatterControl? Does it show a temperature? If you have a multimeter test to see if you are getting voltage from the heater, if yes then check the continuity between the pins for the thermistor on both ends of the connector. My issue ended up being in the connector one wire wasn't crimped correctly, I ended up having to cut away some plastic so I could get some solder and a soldering iron into it because I could not get the pin to release.

So how many of you received your upgrade? Or should I say, how many have they sent out?

Yea, I purchased it as soon as it was posted as available.
No, it was not recently charged, but rather within a few days of purchase.

A batch of almost a dozen is going out today. They would have shipped yesterday if it wasn't for the holiday.

I emailed Jerry because I didn't see the charge on my credit card back in February, but then remembered I used Paypal-duh! But asked him anyway what was going on. He replied that the supplier shorted him bearings and they were being shipped as we spoke. So, we wait.

So i finally got my new Y Axis installed and working.
    I followed the instructions http://mikedifilippo.com/robo-y-axis-upgrade/

I have to say that the complete disassemble and rebuild is a dog but inst all that taxing other than time.

The axis upgrade is worth every cent and then some. I can now safely print with greater precision at higher speeds without having to worry about my bed shaking all over the place.

One point i have to make is check the wiring when you receive your upgrade. Mine was really badly put together with broken and/or exposed wires, also the plugs were wired incorrectly so i had the negative from the plate power wired to the negative of the thermistor and viseversa.

Oh and one final point, the bed is a lot higher now than when it was on the stock rails which means the z stop screw only just reaches the stop. I have the auto bed levelling kit which i will put in once i get a response from Jerry on how to install it :)

Got a shipping notice and tracking number in yesterdays email.
w00t! Will install it once I get back home (another week or so).

You can relocate/raise the Z-stop screw. I raised mine last time I had the bed off (of course then with manual leveling you have to relevel the bed). Tesseracts bed levelers really shined with that as well.

Any more update on shipping one these? I was one of the first 50. What is the update on getting more bearings. April delivery and now we are into June.
Either they need to hire more employees to cover customer support or spend less time on changing the current product.

If you look they have been behind since day one with shipping product and getting product to customers. I know how China works and the delays you get with them. The thing is that if you want to update and make new product you need have the proper staff accommodate customer support, product design and shipping logistics with not only your customers but China.
It is just frustrating to see that you order something in February and you are promised a April delivery and it is June and your customer support guy is on the road for the company. Then you hear and see that most the staff is out doing every maker faire and show know to man.

The company seems in over there head and need to slow down and put the horses back in front of the cart
