Partially Solved E3D V6 HOT END HELP

    hi so i just took out my old hotend and im trying to install the e36 but the hotend wont slide into the extruder like the stock one did becuase its slightly larger how do i get it in ? thanks for any help :) [​IMG]

    Check out @Mike Kelly 's thread on the e3dv6 you need to counter bore (drill) some relief for the Bowden connector to fit.

    thats not the isue if you look at the top ring on the hot end it's to wide to slide in so do i sand the extruder ?

    Which Robo are you doing this on?
    Can I assume this is an R1+ or is it an R1 (or is it a Beta)?
    Looks like an R1+, but details are important.

    I'm sorry bro I don't have access to and r1 plus, hopefully one of the guys will chime in after they are done trick or treating.

    first off remove the exagon hot end fan support you do not need it then it should pop right in place

    secondo if it still doesn't work you can still print a new X carriage

    thanks for the help but none of this really addresses my issue i'm just going to hand sand and file the x carriage, thanks cheers

    you guys were helpful :) i'm just a bit challenged because this is my first printer i got it about a week ago off ebay for $625 but the hotend was botched so i ordered a e3d v6 and they sent me 2 haha so thats a bonus and i actually had it mounted a moment ago but the its not reading the hot end temp but i dont have time to screw with it right now because i have school tom ( i'm 16 ) but i'm sure you guys will be hearing from me alot on here lmao

    When you get back to it that is a loose thermistor connection or a bad thermistor.

    You need to remove the stock fan mount
