Just be patient. They're behind on replacement part requests after CES and are making progress on them.

@k1e1v1i1n is one of the closest people to you that's been active lately. I think there's also @Seshan in ontario and maybe a few others.

This is why we have the introduction forum :)

The lack of bearing might have caused excess stress making it fracture like that.

I can't believe I was able to print with only three bearings and a lot of prints came out great.

Because I only have 3, shouldn't I get it free?

I think they will hook you up, 3 bearings is a QC issue I would check for any other damage while its apart just in case.

Someone else pointed out they discovered a missing bearing as well -- I remember because I immediately went and checked mine :)
So, yea, it has happened. The other three keep it aligned well enough to print, but you really need all four.

Give them a chance to respond to you

That blue they shipped with the printer is junk. You might be able to dry it out and get slightly better results, but frankly -- just toss it and get some real filament.

I noticed that the filament I using, has a very heavy casing. Not sure what you call the thing the filament wraps around. I wondering if this is causing issue with holes in the print?

Seems the filament is dragging due to the extra weight of the holder/casing and might be causing the holes.

The spool? Hmm. I guess it could. Mine are on spool arms above the printer and turn pretty easy regardless of the spool size.

I noticed that the current batch I have is really heavy compared to previous buys.

So I decided to make the Leap
I put the filament spool on top of the printer.

    Works like a charm.

I successfully installed the x-carriage with 4 bearings!

I joke that I have been printing with one bearing tied behind my back!!!

So I would like to report that by having the filament on top of the printer solved my holes issue. It would seem that the new spools that I was getting were very heavy and causing less filament to be dropped when needed. On top, gravity helps keep it flowing without a snag.

I've been printing with the filament on the top since day 2. Seems to work much smoother. the oem hook may work... but I don't like the angles.

I've seen enough shattered beds to keep me from mounting filament above my printer.

That and I have no space.

Mike would probably be terrified with what I have going for a spool holder. I have some built in shelving in my basement that I've cantilevered my 1/2" drive breaker bar off of with a c-clamp. I'm going for most needlessly expensive and maximum possible destruction.

Les than 20 bucks at Home Depot. Holds a metric ButtTon of filament, will not fall down :)
    Without help.
    A lot.
    Feeds filament perfectly.

An old picture now, but still use it.

My Robo R1 that I recently purchased didn't come with the clear cover/spool holder. It has a black spool holder that attached to the inside of the case kind of.
