The RAMPS overheating is a nasty problem to sort out. The good news is that it is fairly easy to fix.

I already have both printers raised up on feet i printed, so there is plenty of space for a larger fan. I saw a you tube video for printed fan clips for the ramps board. Thinking that's what I will use.

Just upgraded from the stock 40mm fan to an 80mm and I left off the bottom of the printer. Printing the brackets to do the same to the other Robo, hopefully that fixes the problem... we'll see.

If i had a dollar for everytime that damn fan has ruined a night of mine.....yet here i be a sucker with the stock size fan lol.

If its over 9 hour print i stick a laptop cooling dohickey .... the thing with two big fans under the robo and that helps me feel better lol

Lol, 80mm is probably to much, but I figured WTH I'll do it.never to much cooling for the ramps IMO.

It completed the hour long bracket print perfectly, so let's hope the cooling did the trick.

No. I have a 3" fan that pulls air across the RAMPS/Arduino and out the front of the case. 80 is not too much.
Like money, I am not sure too much 'air flow on the boards[' is really a 'thing'.

Mine is mounted about .5 an inch above the ramps and Arduino, that blows air straight on them.
