They will email you when it ships. They do not monitor the forums :)

This was now the threat I´m looking for - the bearings from my upgrade a couple of weeks ago failed now during the last night print - the carriage jamming and blocking like a wild horse - Need to get now new bearings....

Mark, where did you get your bearings from? I got some from this ebay store based in New Hampshire http://stores.ebay.com/Folger-Technologies-LLC?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 and am about to install them. I don't know how to tell the quality other than trial and error. I'm sure I probably can fine higher quality ones from Misumi at a price but I don't have any experience ordering from them.

Thanks, I'm going to guess that the are very similar in quality to the Folger ones.

Safe bet, those are not rated as high quality or anything special, but they are better than what I had.

One thing I notice is that they don't seem to have rubber seals. They will run with less friction but make sure you keep the rails clean. It says they "run smoother than standard bushings". Other than the seal friction and perhaps higher quality I don't see why the metal ends would make them better. Let us know how they work out and compare to the usual LM8UUs.

I have emails robo3d support at least 5 times and still do not have a response on expected shipping dates.
I am getting really p'ed off. I wish they would do me the courtesy and at least give an update.

It should not be so hard....

They don't know when the new glass is coming in.

I was one of the people that pre-ordered in for the first batch in mid February.
What is the back story on the glass?
Are you saying they did not get enough glass to complete the first 50 they were getting prepaid for?
    Almost 7 months......

They had tons of glass, until the recall. That ate their entire supply.

This is what happens when they try and do something out of good intentions.

    Sorry what recall?
Do they expect their customers to be telepathic and just know what is happening?
I would have at least expected an email explaining the delay.
After all this time, the robo3d team is still struggling with basic customer service.
I'm happy they have good intentions, but intentions do not make customers happy, actions do!

Yeah you're telling me man. What can you do though? I certainly can't give them more money to hire customer support people. Maybe offer some investment money so they can I guess.

So what is the recommended course of action to get an answer to my simple question from the RoboTeam - 'when do you expect to ship my upgrade?'
I've tried all official email addresses I could find, online forms, tried facebook, the forum, what else?

I was happy to give them some good room on the kick starter champaign, new company any all, new territory for them. But this is ridiculous.
Robo3D are working in a highly competitive space now, new entrants every day, along with some very strong players. Products are not that differentiated. Customer service is key for survival.......
