Is the printer leveling correctly? Which software do you use? Is the firmware/software up to date?

I'm using simplify. I just redownloaded it, so i'm sure it's up to date.

After remeasuring it's only going 50mm when I press 100mm. I marked at 150mm. The mark moved down to 100mm. That leaves me at 1446.76 as the total number, correct?

Oh and i'm doing M92 E1446.76. Then i do M500 to save it in communications.

Ok. I updated. Did a test cube. Same results. Think i'm going to take it apart tomorrow and cook it in my toaster oven.

Then run the calibration. About 4-5 times. Take the average of those numbers. Put that number in the equation mark posted and try again.

The way i interpret what your saying is your are extruding 75 mm more now so your number is much to large.

Whoops meant 75. Not 175. lol

I've also noticed that these marks appear in the same place (though they're different E steps)

Don't forget you MUST reset the EEPROM if you have been using that to store settings.
Otherwise you can flash the firmware until the cows come home and nothing will change.

Main reason I don't use the EEPROM :)
I just fire the printer up and all my changes are there. I don't have to remember to reset and reload the EEPROM values.

Nothing wrong with using it, just means more work resetting and reloading it if you make changes.
