No this is simplify. I just filed a printer replacement request. I'll have time later to figure out how to do this stuff, but I have too many jobs that are backed up. :/

@mark tomlinson have you heard of an extruder ramping up in temp when the bed heats ? Over the target temp?

If thats the route you want to go thats ok but i do think that each new printer will have its own quirks to be figured out. Might be easier to stick with one for the long haul :) just a friendly opinion

As far as print jobs id be willing to help you out if you need it to get caught up.

I totally get that, but that thing where it heats up too much scares the shit out of me.

Mark, Here's a picture if you wanted me to be a bit more specific: http://i.imgur.com/lUEgfPy.jpg

Is the nut inside the greg wade large gear? The hobbled bolt has a nut on the end of it...or should have

Can you upload your fff from simplify for me to look through about the heat issue. It sounds familiar but cant place it

No. I am with you ... Software. Otherwise that is almost certainly electronic failure... Has to be something drastic wrong on the RAMPS. I would look carefully at the software. Examine the gcode terminal and see what it commanded.

Its possible. If you set the printer on its side, remove the bottom cover youll see all the bolts. The only ones that size i can think of go to the y belt tensioners. I took my printer and lock tighted the nuts on the bottom abd set screws. Its a good idea to make sure everything is snug on the board as well make sure you do it powered off

That nut looks like the jam nut from the hobbed bolt.

Ok thats good. That means a setting is out of whack in simplify. Id be happy to look.through your factory file or i can upload mine and you can compare to sort out where the temp issue is at and resolve it.

It has to be from the bottom then or you have a gremlin putting nuts on your bed to confuse you :)

Completely stock settings. Did the configure assistant.

I restarted the computer. It worked. No over heating up. Exited out. Opened up again. It's doing the heating up thing again. I'm done. I'm tapping out. I'm cursed.

Lol hang in there buddy. It gets super fristrating at times. The good thing about s3d is you can open a ticket with their support staff. Im not sure what would cause it but those guys are genius with their program. If we cant sort it they can.
