Posting the pic was a good idea.
The reason it is not working is that you don't have the XXL. You have the smart graphics. They use different sections of code.
You will need to uncomment the smart graphics controller in the config.h. You may also need to make the corrections warlocke has noted a few posts above yours.
Or you can just upload the firmware that I posted 5 posts above yours.
You should be in good shape after that!

    Well that probably explains things....
    After getting over my embarrassment....
    1. Downloaded the u8glib library from https://code.google.com/p/u8glib/wiki/u8glib
    2. unziped the u8glib_arduino_v1.15.zip file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\libraries
    3. open the Marlin robo_graphic ardino file by double clicking - as posted by Matt above
    4. Selected verify code - a clean compile
    5. Selected upload code - uploaded successfully
    6. Rebooted and all working...

Thanks Matt for the prompt response and getting me sorted.

I have added a fixed version for the Full Graphics LCD to that thread.

Scotty, That's not the XXL LCD, that's called the full graphic LCD. It requires a different mod to the configure.h file and it requires that a graphic library be added to the Arduino library folder. Just search for "full graphic" in the .h file and follow the directions in the comment. This is from memory because I don't have access to the file now but I think it should be very easy to do.

No worries. We all make silly mistakes sometimes.

I'm just glad you posted the pic or you would have been getting all kinds of wrong advice!

Interesting observation - When I got the system up and running with the 'full graphics display' last night I was running PLA (heated bed at 70C)
This morning I switched to ABS and went to heat the print bed only to have it cut out around 80C. (repeatedly around there)
It is either the firmware (highly unlikely) or that the graphics card adds a bit more load to the card causing it to overheat.
I'll look to add a fan in there along the lines suggested by Jerry http://forums.robo3dprinter.com/ind...t-heat-bed-cutting-out.1299/page-3#post-12164

My understanding is that the beds cut out around 90 without the upgrade anyways, but that what you've said is consistent with what other people have seen. The tiny extra power draw of the LCD does reduce the temperature that the bed starts cutting out at.
I have a PLA only version so I can't confirm.

Or don't bother printing in ABS and only print PLA at 50-55. Not sure why people are setting the bed at 70 for PLA.

I'm only half joking about the ABS thing. There are so many filament options now that can be printed without such a high bed temp and without the warping headache.

So as an experiment I removed the display and tested if behavour returned to normal? (ability to heat to 90C for first layer then 85 for rest with ABS). No system still cut out around 73C. Could it be something to do with the latest firmware? Has it changed the cycle frequency or some other factor (I dont know how to control is setup)

BWAHAHA! I have used my moderator powers to fix the typo in the title from when I initially started this thread. Who knows what I'll do next with power like this!
